I’ve tried for a while to get someone to help me with the replacement of a window. I can’t get anyone to respond. I spent just under $40.000.00 in June 2023 on materials to replace my deck, porch and build a trellis. They absolutely are the worst when it comes to customer service!!!! I would never recommend them for anything. My business is going elsewhere. What a bunch of slackers and I’d be embarrassed if I had any ownership in thus sorry excuse for a service company!!!! I am in Pinehurst/Southern Pines, NC.

Unprofessional company. Ordered a $5000 custom mahogany front door. Branch never placed the order and said they did (their mistake), order came in and they delivered it with multiple scratches and deep gouges in multiple places! They said the "painter would fix it." Seriously? UNACCEPTABLE, how about you take care of the door when you are handling it! Over 1/2 year later and still no door. I called corporate 5 times, said they would elevate and call me. Over a month later, still no one has called. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They do not value their customers and do not care about the quality of their product they deliver.

As a small contracting company I build houses and additions usually one project at a time. I rely on this company to provide me the materials I need to do the job efficiently and effectively. The counter staff where I order my lumber and trim is always professional and courteous. However today I had the misfortune to encounter the accountant and her extreme authority complex. It was alleged I owed $166.00 on a cash account. My account was out on hold until the issue was resolved. Ok. If I owed it. I’ll pay it. No problem. But I wanted to understand and have it explained why I owed money on a cash account. Not to hard right? You would think so. But I was wrong. I was told I never paid for 470 2x4’s that were on my initial order. Funny that. My first “deposit” was $9866.00 the 2x4’s were in the original request. Unfortunately they were incorrect length and sent back. I ordered the proper length and we moved on. That was two weeks from today. To date this project alone has nearly 12k in lumber, not a lot when compared to larger builds but hey I’m a small company and was made to feel insignificant due to this fact. The account whom made sure I to tell me “well I’m the accountant” with such authoritarian gusto and Ill mannered attitude when I wanted her to explain to me that it was almost laughable. She could’ve easily had more understanding and professionalism but she lacks this basic skill. I have 3 more builds scheduled and contracted. Easily over 100k in lumber alone. But $166.00 was way more important than that unfortunately. Again if I owed it. I paid it. Simple as that. All I wanted was to have it explained. That’s all. But instead I was met with a self riotous, holier than thou, “how dare you bother me peasant” accountant. Good luck to you if you have account at this place of business. And I pray you never owe a few bucks that you can’t explain.

I hadn't even heard of this business until one of its RECKLESS drivers almost ran me off the road today because they were about to take the wrong exit. ABSOLUTELY careless and unbothered. If your business structure and performance is as terrible as the driving, do not use. It happened today 6/21/2023 at ~8:05a. License reads KNC8934

I currently work At builders in Fort Pierce Florida Corporate seems like they care about the employees but There are some lower level management here that Only care about how they look And could care less about the employees

Trying to confirm the validity of a purchase order and have been shuffled around from California to South Carolina - always tells me that everyone is busy and can't answer the phone. I guarantee that we will not ship the ordered products until someone from BFS gets back to us to confirm that this PO is legit.

I'm a contractor that spends between $50,000.00 and $100,000.00 a year in BFS, not anymore. They are charging people more than double what other lumber yards are charging with horrible lumber quality. They think because they are the only lumber yard in a small town that they can do that. Do yourself a favor and price check them before you purchase.

Stay away from AP department and Letisia she will set you up for failure. Not to mention the mailroom where I started but in order to get me fired she changed my job title to put me in a role to be fired. She mentioned to get Nick Valdez fired she had to start writing him up that didn't happen because I confided in Snake Andrea Anderson, about the mailroom and concerns I had but she only ran to letisia who then changed my job title told me i was originally hired for a different position but that was a lie. thats what I don't get she tells everybody business to other employee she aint telling how she use that company debit card for personal reason but a specific employee who is her favorite knows everything from the manager meetings to information about employees. The AP department mangement Sucks and HR does nothing about it.

All the good reviews are from people who work here. First hand experience with this company left me with an extremely poor impression of it products and service. I would other to stay away and find alternate providers. Have a $6K iron door supplied by them. The frame was dented through damage in transit. They sent people over 3 times to fix it in the last 3 months and still the issue is not resolved. They usually work through home builders so be sure to ask your builder if they are working with this company.

One of their trucks lost a 4x4 in traffic the truck refused to stop. I have it on video (including the front license plate because the back is hidden). I tried to contact them several times no response. I even got hung up on when I called for insurance info

The worst experience I've ever had with a company. I have been trying for two months to get credited for over $1000.00 in materials that they picked up. After they picked up the materials I was told they did not do credits on doors, they were disposed of in the trash yard. Now keep in mind this was “after†they took them (and the doors were brand new). I sent back balusters as well as other material that was still in the boxes, never used nor touched and can not even get a response from them. Very poor customer service and definitely integrity issues. I will not use their services or recommend anyone to do business with them.
