One of the worst prospective customer/client experiences I have ever had.Business owner was condescending, impatient, and dismissive when I inquired about her services for men.If you have minimum standards of respect and customer service, I do not recommend patronizing this business or owner in any way.

Stopped by after they came highly recommended from a big client of mine. I love supporting small businesses and read on their website that they were an award winning alterations and couture shop. As a director of a bridal salon that doesn’t have an in house tailor, I was not only looking for somewhere to do my alterations, but to look for extra tailors to recommend to my clientele. I came in and explained that I was looking to have my dress tailored, and the woman working in the front asked me to put the dress on after going to the back to let what I am assuming to be the owner know that I wanted alterations. As soon as I came out I walked her through the alterations that I wanted done to my dress. Every time I would point out an alteration that I wanted to get done, the woman would respond with , “ oh , that is gonna be too expensive” vs telling me a quote. I am well aware of what alterations typically can run given that I come from a predominantly luxury & runway retail background prior to starting a career in bridal. I asked her about 2-3 more different alteration questions and her continued response was “oh , that is going to be too expensive.” She finally gave me a final quote for the things that I wanted done of $250, which mind you is extremely reasonable for what I wanted done ( the gown had a lot of beading in the bodice with a detailed design). I agree to price and ask how soon she could have it done and her response was, “ oh we are really busy right now.” I immediately just walked back into the fitting room to get dressed. This was one of the most unprofessional experiences at an alterations shop that Ive ever had. Not only did she try to pin incorrectly along the bust area ( to do a rapid alteration vs the more proper method to bring in the bodice in ) but just over all unpleasant. When I asked about the correct method cost to bring in the bodice and have it fitted tighter , it was only $30 more than the incorrect method she tried to pin that would have compromised the pattern on the front of the dress. It is okay as a business to have a special niche and say you only do one specific scope of work …. But don’t try to deflect with a client because you don’t know how to do an alterations job appropriately and waste the clients time. I wasted about 15 -20 mins of my time because they had me put on a dress that they supposedly didn’t even have the time to alter after telling me repeatedly everything was too expensive to have done. This place just wasn’t it. Don’t waste your time.Sidenote: maybe they would have time to actually do alterations if the person in the back didn’t talk on the phone the entire time she works vs giving her work her undivided attention.

At first I thought it was a African clothing store, but it's a African tailored clothing store, she makes African clothes, you get to pick your design and pattern. She does skirts, dresses wedding dresses. Men's clothing also and children.

Awful service. They are a group of old people sitting around doing nothing but turn people away for a simple fitting

I had to get last minute alterations to my wedding dress and she did an amazing job of transferring my zipper to a lace up corset. I would recommend her to anyone. My dress was gorgeous!

Such a shame that this designer does not have good customer service. I showed her a picture of what I wanted a maxi dress with a print on the front with a slit but instead she did what SHE wanted to do on my dress. She ruined my dress and instead of apologizing she was very rude and was trying to prove right. I will never go back to her ever again. I wanted to be a bigger person and call this woman to make peace but she was STILL VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. Don't waste your money find elsewhere!
