The manager ! the staff ..are rude, impatient, and treat customers bad ! They push you to buy more memberships instead of just letting people shop in peace ! People they come shopping to be happy ! Not abuse them and give them ur bad vibes !!! like a burden.
They never smile! Neveer !
This is a wrong way ! It feels like they’re aggressively pushing
unprofessional customer service It’s happened more than once to me and to my friends a lot of people are talking about this!! Every time a customer comes with a family member, or if they see a couple.. they immediately question if that person has their own membership and if the credit card is under your name or his name !!! Im with my family !!!!! My wife !!!! And she is at the cashier! With my membership !!!! i give my card ! And he is like NOPE ! let my wife pay ?!! Or you need to force me membership One for your wife, one for your son, one for your daughter, one for your mother ! it’s like they expect every single family member to pay for their own card just to shop together!
My wife went to pay for the groceries, and the cashier rudely said: “Your husband has to pay with his card.” I gived her my card to pay im there with her !!! It’s disrespectful, embarrassing, and feels like they’re just trying to force people into buying more memberships. We’re a family we live in the same house ! what’s the problem if we’re using the same membership!
But they do embarrass you on purpose so everyone in this world gets a membership with them !!! And this is unacceptable !!!
This isn’t how you treat loyal customers. Costco needs to seriously work on how their staff speak to people. It feels like harassment, not customer service. ( this incident happened for a looooot of people) they say this makes them uncomfortable next to other friends or family members to get more memberships !

This location was a mess. It was way too crowded, the parking lot was a disaster, and the checkout lines were ridiculously long. To make things worse, the cashier—Sarah—looked like she hated her life and everyone in line. No energy, no smile, just pure attitude. Honestly, this visit was a total waste of time. Won’t be coming back.

Update: I was just charged a renewal of which I am going to contest with my bank because I didnt sign up for auto renewal. P.s your competitors whole sale store is less crowded and has FRIENDLY staff not ones like this that are pressured to make sales and auto sign up customers for renewal without their knowledge.
NOW THAT I AM REREADING my original I SEE WHY COSTCO LINES ARE INEFFICIENT- if she would have helped me instead of the other lady-I would have already been on my way -instead she went to the person with the most items and left other people hanging that were dependent on her to leave. The lady with 15 items didnt need help-she was able bodied and could have scanned her own items.
original review:
RACIST self check out cashier. I had 3 items and my light was flickering for assistance. The Filipina cashier who is (obviously pychologiccaly colonized from her country being colonized) helped the white blonde (whose register wasnt beeping) with 15 items. I had 3 and waited as my register loudly asked for assistance. When I told cashier this, she started to argue with me.
Update: The manager asked me what she said when I asked her why she helped the other lady out of turn. I told him I couldn't understand her because of her accent. Now that we are home, my 7 year old said that the cashier said-the other lady had more than you.

Love Costco, been a member for over 10 years but they need to become a company that champions AMERICAN values.

Not a bad Costco but the checkout system is insanely inefficient. I also think this might be the only Costco I’ve been to where the self checkout lanes don’t have a scanner gun. If your average item weighs 10 pounds, why do you want the customer to have to remove each item to put in on the scale? So we don’t steal it? Isn’t that what your door checkers are for? I don’t understand why this Costco struggles to adapt

I have heard about Costco for years, but have not had an occasion to visit until now. I was not really sure what to expect. I have not been a member of a warehouse club for many many years. I have never really been into buying in bulk and finding a place to store it in my home. While I was definitely impressed with the pricing and layout and high-quality of items offered, too many of their brands are not what my family uses. Also, since my home is so much smaller now than it used to be, I do not have a place to store these giant containers of products anymore. If you do have a large family or a business, this is definitely a place that you should shop at. For my family and myself, this just does not work for us.

Of course everybody loves Costco and so do I. But I have to say that this particular Costco management needs to figure out why their checkout people are so rude. Maybe they’re just overworked, but I’ve always had a bad experience here with inconsiderate and rude checkout staff.

In reading negative reviews without no response from Costco's executive team leaves me questioning if this establishment cares about customer service, safety, and organizational growth. I was considering purchasing a membership and shopping at Costco but with the lack of follow up on customer feedback is truly concerning. I dnt know the validity of the negative reviews but to let it go without corporation consideration is unacceptable. I am a Director of Client Svc Administration with a Team who follows up on all reviews focusing on concerning ones, this helps the company and staff be better while improving client satisfaction ratings. What is your company doing in the area of improvement.
