I have been a long-time customer of CubeSmart, and I need to put this on record: this facility has a serious, ongoing rat infestation. Not hiring professionals to clean this mess. They have poor Ruben on site cleaning hazardous waste. They need trained professionals to address this and have a DUTY to notify PAYING customers that their items could be contaminated and warn folks that they face biohazardous conditions. Especially when they know your items are going to be damaged. ASK for a tour of the non climate units. I’ve worked for ServPro - I know
BIOHAZARD. Rodent droppings/urine gets in the insulation and permeates everything.
I have personally consulted several pest companies, and every one of them confirmed this is a hazardous situation. Yet management has not posted a single sign, sent a single notice, or taken proper action. Instead, they quietly continue to collect rent while customers unknowingly store their belongings in unsafe conditions.
I cannot begin to describe the personal loss; items from my daughter’s childhood that can never be replaced. There is no money that can bring those memories back and I’m a single mom to boot.
As an insurance professional, I help people recover from catastrophes. It is my duty to warn others: do not store your belongings here. At the very least, if management will not protect its customers, I will do my part to protect the public.
Shame on CubeSmart for failing to act, failing to notify, and failing to honor their commitment to their customers.
