Great selections of fresh produce and fine pies. Of course prices are much higher recently, but a savvy shopper can do well here. People are friendly and helpful.

This review is long overdue. I trained at DSC and privately with Chris Riley (the owner) several years ago. He's extremely knowledgeable about lifting form and programming. Chris got me, in my late 30s-early 40s, the strongest I've ever been in my life. I wasn't able to continue training at DSC because of other commitments but I highly recommend it.

Having an awesome first weightlifting and personal training experience at DS&C. This is a stripped-down and unapologetic gym with no machines: just barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells. Chris is fantastic, and emphasizes teaching excellent form from the beginning, so that I avoid injury. I’m stronger already!

Plain and simple, this is a place to get strong and have fun doing it. No frills, no attitudes, no excess. Chris Riley has built a rock solid set of programs for different goals. If you show up and follow them, you will get strong and lose fat. This is a very strong group of men and women, but they are equally agreeable and fun to work out with. All the equipment you need (Rogue and Texas power bars, kettlebells, dumbbells, platforms, outdoor space) and none of the silly junk you don't want to pay for (infrared saunas, meditation class, smoothie bar). Go check it out.

Fantastic equipment for weightlifting and power lifting. Rogue and Texas Power Bars, deep dish iron plates and calibrated bumper plates, dedicated deadlifting and olympic lifting platforms, a deadlift jack, bikes, rowers, dumbbells, an Eleiko trap bar ($$$), plenty of space on the rig and plenty of chalk. There's more, but in summary you can tell that Chris and Brent are real equipment connoisseurs.

I've been going to Dallas Strength and Conditioning for about 2 months. I have to say that so far it has been one of the best gym experiences that I've had!!

I attended their weightlifting workshop this morning and was really impressed with their coaches. Superior knowledge, patient, and excellent at explaining the movements and mechanics/reasoning behind the lifts. Of the class I was definitely the least experienced and worst at picking up the complex movements, but I never felt uncomfortable or out of sorts thanks to the coaches.

Of the class I was definitely the least experienced and worst at picking up the complex movements, but I never felt uncomfortable or out of sorts thanks to the coaches. I can't stress this enough... these coaches are amazing. You can go anywhere and lift weights. You can buy a bench and some weights and do your own thing at home. You can go to another type of gym where the "coach" gives you 10 mins of "instruction" and then lets you to do 25 reps of a complex movement you have no business doing... with WAY too much weight. What you're not going to get from a book or YouTube or anywhere else is the knowledge these guys impart on you. Class act all the way around. Final thought (and another thing that I was really impressed with), this was a true seminar, with direct one-on-one coaching. I was worried that I was signing up for a "5 hour Dallas Strength and Conditioning commercial". That couldn't be further from the truth. They cared about one thing and one thing only: teaching these lifts properly! Thank you Brent, Chris, and Christy! I'll definitely be back!!

I've been to multiple crossfit and weightlifting gyms in the DFW area, and DSC is where I've made the most progress in terms of my WL technique. Chris and Brent are both very friendly and experienced, and they will be able to quickly identify your weaknesses and leverage your strengths to help reach your objectives, whether they be technique- or strength-focused. Also the other people who work out there are all good people and pretty chill. You will leave your workouts very satisfied and looking forward to the next.

Great spot for a weightlifting workout. Had a chance to drop in and meet coach Brent Kim who was a wealth of knowledge. He had some technique pointers that I had never heard before and that were invaluable and helped drill a few weaknesses.
