We attend a lot of performances and we had a great time this past weekend. This was our first time at the Wyly, and it is a wonderful and intimate stage experience. The ushers are the friendliest and most welcoming! Garage parking was easy and felt safe with direct access to the venue. We will definitely be back.Dallas has so much local talent who are exceptional in their field! We love supporting the Arts.

The Wyly theater is a relatively new theater to Dallas so it amazes me how inaccessible the theater is. I took my disabled mother to see a show at the Wyly this past weekend. The parking garage has no way for disabled people to activate the doors to get to the theater. Alternately, the downward slope from the street is so steep that people with mobility impairments could never access the theater that way. Inside, the doors to the bathrooms are heavy and hard for people to open while managing a cane, walker or wheelchair. The elevators to the theaters are wide but stairs inside the theater have no handrails in the orchestra section. Without assistance, it would be very difficult for someone with a mobility impairments to access the theater without assistance. Dallas is too big a city and the theater is too new to not have these things thought out or corrected once raised.

It is a nice place for smaller performances but very upset we paid more for orchestra seating to get pushed to the back and get a partially obstructed view (see pic). I would've rather been in a cheaper balcony seat to not have to deal with obstructed views. As a tall person I enjoyed having plenty of leg/knee room between our seats. My wife, however, is "vertically challenged" and the "landing" our seats were on was too shallow for her feet to fit but the floor was too far for her shorter legs to reach making her uncomfortable the entire time. Also, the lights on the backs of the chairs infront of us didn't turnoff or even dim during the performance ruining it even more!Overall. I don't consider the seats we had to be "orchestra" seating, had we been where we expected & paid for I think we'd have enjoyed it a lot more. If you end up in these seats they should only charge you $5!

My visit today was breathtaking! To be reminded of the meaning of every word of our African American National Anthem was exciting! We should know and be ashamed if we don't know our own history, expecting all others to do so. I can't wait to show my friends. There's a message behind every word of that song.??❤️?

A Dallas Gem for Performing Arts LoversThe Wyly Theatre has become a favorite spot for me in Dallas. It offers a truly intimate and immersive experience that makes you feel right in the heart of the action. Over the years, I've witnessed some truly great moments on that stage, from powerful dramas to captivating musicals. The variety of productions is impressive, catering to diverse tastes and interests. Whether you're looking for a thought-provoking play, a heart-warming musical, or something in between, the Wyly Theatre is sure to have something for you.Beyond the productions themselves, the theatre itself is a delight. The design is modern and elegant, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is also top-notch, always friendly, helpful, and passionate about the arts. They go the extra mile to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for every visitor.

Great theatre once you are inside. It feels like you are walking into a hole to get into front door.

Not a bad seat in the house & lines move quickly. Nose bleed seats need binoculars if your eyes aren't perfect. But the sound is incredible from the stage. Get there early to use the elevator or you might need to take the stairs.
