Service was fine, but expect to pay way more than what you initially book for on the internet - there are loads of extra charges, insurance etc… paid almost 50% extra for fees and basic insurance

AVOID. This place is an immigrant nightmare. Indians own it, so it’s horrible managed, the car was freaking FILTHY, Hertz customer service OK’d me keeping the car extra days, and I then started getting automated threatening repossession calls for exceeding 28 days (even though I’d only had the car 9 days). Finally, the super fat sweaty Somali guy at drop off couldn’t speak a bit of basic English. (FYI I’m not against immigration, I’m against bad immigration policies. Stop letting idiots into our country. We have enough at this business).

Best service I've had renting a car in the US. Anthony took great care of us, and when our car wasn't available we were upgraded to a full size brand new Hyundai Sonata. He was a great help and would definitely recommend their services.

Worst experience. I was at this rental location 2 hrs. Kicked out line twice. Unable to rent car due to not having adequate reservation according to employee. I understand being short staffed. But there was absolutely no sense of urgency or fast paced movement in employees who has lines out the door.

1.2 stars is most accurate. This is by far the worst Hertz I've been. Let tell you, turns out that you need to make a reservation to get a rental in this hertz location, that means like in my case that I just walked in and a staff member told me "I'm sorry, we only take costumers with reservation", the office didn't have any costumer at that time, I walked outside the office, went online and made the reservation, in less than 5 minutes, walked in again and the same guy told me, now I can assist you. He could just told me go online and make the reservation and it would been of great help. Anyway, after that he told me I have to go at the end of the line and wait for my turn, by that time at least 10 people had walked in to the office, and when it's finally my turn, a couple that has just arrived at the office skipped everybody to "make a question", next thing you know is that they are being serve. I demanded why? and the same guy told me they are gold members. What's that supposed to mean, he later explained that gold members don't wait in line. What HERTZ most do is buy a sign stating that so that way everybody is aware. Finally when I got my rental a lady apologizes and gave me a free update, which was not worthy because I spent more than an hour to get a rental that should've taken only 5 minutes. Plus the condescend tone of that particular staff member was unnecessary and annoying. Instead of treating costumers like that you should treat us with respect and help us.

I made a reservation for a pickup truck to be picked up Friday, 7/9 by 10a. I called the day before to see if the truck could be picked up by 8a. The employee I spoke with could not guarantee an 8a pick up, but said we could check to the day of fir availability, which I understood. We decided to keep the 10a pick up time and arrived at Hertz at 945a. We complete the check-in and go outside to get the truck, to find out they do not have a pickup truck available. They had a mid-size SUV and try to give that to us instead. The issue was we were taking a kayak and needed the bed of the truck. After a 30 min wait, we got a large pickup truck (at the same rate). Although we did get a better deal and larger truck, the disorganization really bothered me. The employees at the Love Field location in Dallas, TX, did everything in their power to accommodate our rental request. There should be something in place where they make sure that have vehicles on site for that day's reservations. If the vehicle is not onsite, please contact the customer beforehand.

Belinda (or Berlinda) at rental car return department is very helpful! I had an issue with my rental car, she helped me to get a different car in matter of minutes. I’m very thankful to her and hope the management will recognize her greatly performance

If I could leave zero stars I most definitely would.First off, this has by far been the worst experience with renting a car. Starting my day off I went to the airport to pick up the rental car from Dollar car rental, after getting to the airport, the dollar car rental service center was closed and I was told we needed to drive or take a shuttle to another location to pick up my rental car. After driving to this other location, We could not pull into the lot because there was no private parking, shuttles only. After walking up to the location, I waited in line for almost an hour, once I finally made it to the desk to pick up my rental car, my representative Barbra asked me if I wanted to purchase insurance, I told her not once, but twice that No, I did not want to purchase any insurance that I have coverage though my personal insurance to cover my rental car. My total online when reserving the rental car was around $1,150 for everything, I paid down $920 when reserving the car and should have only paid around $150-200 for the remaining balance including taxes. When I checked out today Barbra charged my card another $777. After calling customer service, I found out Barbra charged me for the insurance coverage that I told her twice I did not want. So my total charge was almost $1,700 when it should have been $1,150. Customer service told me to take the paper work back to the location I rented the car from and the could take the additional charges off, I specially asked the representative if I had to have the vehicle with me, being as I am the only driver for the car & you cannot pull into the location. They told me no, as long as I had the paper work they could void the additional charges & print me a new rental agreement. So we make the hour drive back to this location, I wait in line again, explain the situation and they tell me I need to see Barbra since she is the one who did the transaction. So I wait on Barbra. When I finally get to speak with Barbra she argues with me and tells me she told me about the insurance, which I can inform you she did not. I told her on two different occasions I did not want the insurance. She goes on to tell me in order for her to take off the insurance she needs to psychically see the car with her eyes first. I didn’t bring the rental car with me because your not allowed to park in that location!!! She then tells me I can bring it back tomorrow and they will charge for the insurance used for one day. I have never had such a bad experience with renting a car. I would never recommend this company to anyone! You gladly took my $1,700 and have no desire in helping me resolve this issue.

My wife and I had a reservation for a car rental on 4/30/21 at Dallas Love Field Airport. When we got to the rental terminal we ended up having to wait in line over 2 hours just to check in for our reservation. Then we were told it would be over 2 hours before we actually received our car. We were told if we wanted the vehicle type we had actually requested and reserved, it would be a 3.5 hour wait. We ended up settling for first available and then waited over an hour to get our vehicle. This is unacceptable. I will never ever use this rental company again.I've used multiple rentals over the years for military and business travel and have never had such a horrible experience with any other rental company. We lost basically a whole evening of our short trip because this company could not staff or plan accordingly. They have forever lost my business and my wife's business. I will be sure to let everyone know not to rent from dollar rental unless they plan on spending almost a whole day waiting to pick up a reserved vehicle. I could have understood this if we had not reserved a vehicle, but we reserved our vehicle over 2 weeks ahead of time.Avoid this company for rentals!

Stay away. Crooks. An absolute nightmare. Left stranded till 2am. Had reservations but they had no cars. WHY LET PEOPLE MAKE RESERVATIONS IF YOU HAVE NO CARS???????? Employees were smug. 500+ people left stranded and they shrug it off.

4-22-20 UPDATE: WAITED ANOTHER 7-10 BUSSINESS AND STILL NO REFUND!!!Never again! Made Reservations over the phone excepted are debit card. Get here to pick up the car and was told we also need A valid credit card because we do not have a flights in or out of love field was never told this had rented before edit another dollar rental airport and again was never told that we have to have a major credit card Dave Ramsey recommended this. I even called to change the time to pick up the car and tell them that we were driving in and the representative never once said you have to have a major credit card if you're not flying in from Love Field. I think it is ridiculous if you do not have a flight that you have to have a major credit card to drive around a vehicle. The whole point of dollar rental is because they are making it easy for people who do not have a major credit card now they miles will be just like any other rental agency out there.Update:Its now 9 days later and still no refund. Called an was told it wasn't excepted on the 4-2-2021. They are now telling us another 5 to 7 days. Today's date 4-14-2021

I am upset. My family of 4 had booked a flight to Dallas, Texas on 04/29/2021 for a wedding and I had reserved a car from them. Unfortunately my boyfriend and I were not able to make it on this trip due to Covid, so my dad and brother flew down there alone. First of all, there was a line and they weren’t able to pick up the car on the time I reserved it for; they had to wait an hour later. When I reserved the rental they said the total price was 300.21 and already took a down payment on my card of 230.22. I paid with debit and at the time of payment it did not say to pay with a credit card. When it was my brother’s turn he stumbled upon a lot of issues such as additional cost. I had to send him money to cover it, and they could not honor that 300.21 total. We will never reserve from this company again. Their guidelines were not clear from the start.

Could definitely use them again. The only part I wasn't real crazy about is upon return of the vehicle is not easily to decipher where return the vehicle as you have to be mindful to look for the Hertz logo. Great experience.
