Another store that has 4-5 registers but only 1 open and a line backed up down the aisle! Why put in all the registers if you’re not going to use them? Bad enough when someone wants a damn balloon!! Oh and thanks for the loud explicit laden rap music! Very professional

Dirty, too many stock carts throughout the store, blocking you to get to stuff.

I don't know if I want to give this place 2 or 3 stars. Staff is not friendly unless you know them. The store is never clean. Nothing is on the shelves. Staff doesn't help. This store would be the last place I would go. The one in Richardson is well worth the drive. Enter at your own risk!

I walked into the store, I noticed only one checkout lane open, with 6 or 7 customers in line, even though there were three other associates over by the office doing nothing to help. I ignored this, as I am used to this situation at this particular location. I spent about 20 minutes in the store shopping and had enough items to fill up a hand basket as I proceeded to the checkout lanes.
There was still only the single lane open, even though the line was backing up into the merchandise aisles, and other associates were free to assist. I waited patiently and made sure all my items were laid out on the conveyor belt for the cashier's easy access (I have worked many retail jobs and always go out of my way to make things easier on cashiers, waitstaff, etc). Even though she had been friendly with the man in front of me, she completely ignored me as she began ringing up my purchases. I gave her a few seconds to acknowledge me, and after she never did, I finally said to her, "how are you this evening?" She raised her head, but not enough for me to even see her eyes behind the hat she had pulled down over them, and responded in a voice that seemed under the influence, "oh...I was looking for my next customer." Because I had no idea what that odd statement meant, I said nothing else and paid when she was finished. Notice on the attached receipt that she did not correctly ring up what I purchased; she counted items on the conveyor belt in groups and then scanned a single item multiple times.
After my card was approved, all she said was "you're approved" without looking at me from under that ridiculous hat pulled down over her eyes. I politely said, "can I get my receipt?" This is when the transaction took a turn toward something I have never experienced at any store, regardless of how unprofessional the employee has been.
Denise (at least that's the name on the receipt) flippantly said, "nope, you should've asked me before I finished the transaction." I said, "excuse me? I need my receipt." She put up her hand in a "talk to the hand" gesture and hostilely said, "I'm not giving you one...you can check your transaction history online and you need to move aside." I told her I would gladly step aside so she could help the next customer, but I wasn't leaving without a receipt for my purchases, so she should call a manager if she wasn't willing to do her job. She repeated the same phrase with the same attitude and hand gesture.
Finally one of the other employees (one of the ones standing around doing nothing) walked up behind her and said, "just call Neenee." Neenee arrived and was able to easily and quickly provide me with a receipt. While Neenee was using the register to do so, Denise stepped back, and that's when I realized she had headphones in her ears while at the register, which were connected to her phone. Her phone was lying right on the barcode scanner she was using to check out customers, and I could see the screen was lit up with iTunes or a similar music app. I had not seen all this before because of that huge hat she had pulled down over her face. She continued to be flippant and argumentative, even as Neenee was getting the receipt.
I also noticed that the customer in front of me was a Black man, and she was very talkative and friendly with him. The customer behind me was a Black woman, and Denise was talkative and friendly with her and handed her a receipt without being asked. I am white and received exactly the opposite service.

To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to express my concern about the quality of customer service in your store. Recently, I experienced a situation that I believe is unacceptable and could negatively impact your business's reputation.
Please remember that good relationships with customers are essential for retaining their loyalty, especially in such a competitive market. A clear example of what can happen when proper measures aren't taken is the case of Big Lots or 99c, which has already left the market. It wouldn't surprise me if you could face a similar situation if these issues aren't addressed promptly.
During my last visit, I had a very unpleasant experience with one of your employees, who displayed a very poor attitude. They made a mistake by scanning a product twice, and when I pointed out the issue, their reaction was extremely disrespectful. Not only did they get upset, but they also told me that if I didn't like the way things were done at your store, I shouldn't come back.
I believe that this kind of treatment towards customers is unacceptable, and if no action is taken, it will be difficult for customers to want to return.
