Based on my experience: very happy and satisfied with the results of my hair. I know personally the ability of Caribbean stylists and she definitely has it. As a customer, we need to understand that not necessarily will be attending at the exact time of our appointment, because it's an estimated time, each hair and treatment is different. So, we need to be patient, there or another salon. For me, if I receive great care of my hair and love the results, I don't care to wait a fair time. To get an appointment, I had to call a few times and a text message. But understood that she is only one (or two) while working so she usually responds on the same day and it's understandable. I recommend this salon and I will be going soon again.

I've been going here for over 2-3years now and my girl always delivers. With extra long, tight curly hair, when I come out the chair with the Dominican blow out and flat iron you would never think I had curly hair to begin with. Her clients are typically African American and Spanish-American so the textures of hair differs but she delivers. See you in a few weeks Mami. ?Services: Hairstyling

The stylist washing my hair sprayed inside my ear (full water pressure) twice. After adding rollers, she turned the dryer on max and left - my scalp is burned. The other stylist pressed my hair without using heat pretector - my hair smells burned. (I watched her use it on the client before me). I expressed discomfort multiple times and they pretended not to understand me. Let's recap: water sprayed inside my ears twice, burnt scalp, burnt hair and no shine/syrum. If you are African American / POC with dense curly hair, I WOULD NOT recommend this place.Services: Blowouts

I would give 5 stars but the wash lady is really rough and wet my entire back while washing my hair. I get my hair done mostly because I love getting my hair washed, this ruins it for me. She combs out the hair really rough as well which is disappointing because Abigail is amazing with the hair which is the ONLY reason I endure the terrible wash service

Pretty great Dominican hair salon. This is by far the best blowout I have received after searching for a new hair stylist in the DFW area. I think her name is Abiligal who finished my blowout. She did a wonderful job on giving me really beautiful curls and trim. I received so many compliments on my hair just hours after I got my hair done. The only reason I’m taking 1 star off was I had an appointment booked at 1:00. I was was running 5-10 mins late on time. Once I arrived I waited for my hair to be done and they said they would be right back and went to lunch. They didn’t start on my hair till 1:30 or so. I would have rather booked an earlier appointment if 1:00 was their scheduled lunch break because it completely through off my schedule of things I had planned right after I got my hair done. And the lady who washed my hair was great at making sure I was okay during the process of her putting in the rollers and under the dryer, but I do feel like the detangling in the sink was a little rough I think she started from the roots to the tip and not vice versa. I detangle my hair really gently so I don’t have any unnecessary breakage and I felt there were some instances I felt she detangle a little bit rough towards the ends of my hair. Nevertheless, I think this would be a place I would likely try again if the 2 concerns were fixed.

Not satisfied at all. I will admit the do book appointments quickly however they do not ask any follow up questions. I have 4c hair and I wanted a curly style similar to a perm rod set. They women barely spoke English so that was no help. No pricing on the website, never answered the phone when I called. I came out with lifeless curls that I hate! She made no effort to rectify the situation either. A waste of $75 and I did NOT tip which I never do. Dont recommendService: Curly hair

Let be start by saying this. I am Nigerian American. My Father is from Nigeria. My mother is from Louisiana. I thought I'd start with this so that people can understand how course my hair is. My texture is what ever is after 4C. In addition, I have not processed (relaxed or colored my hair since 2013). I have been coming to Abi since 2014. I have never felt any discrimination about my texture or the fact that I am black. She has never shown any reluctance to do my hair based on texture, skin color, language, or culture. I don't speak a lick of Spanish but language and culture have not been an barrier to Abi growing my hair from short '20s bob to mid back length. I always tell her that she has the hands of my grandmother on my mother's side because no one has been able to grow my hair longer than my grandmother expect Abi. Abi is busy. She is a mom, business owner, and a wife. I am so happy to see that over time, she has chose to reduce her business hours to make family a priority. I had an opportunity to read many of the comments. I was shocked at what I read to be honest. In addition, because I have been coming to the salon for so many years; it felt like a lie in my opinion. However, I know that no place is perfect. Any issue that I have every had with the salon has been promptly handled. The professionalism is A1 to me. If you are looking for someone to help grow your hair this is the place. Be patient with her. She is literally the only salon in DFW that produces this product in the way that she does. Yes, you can get a blow out anywhere. However, any other blow out that I have ever had has caused shedding and is usually twice the price for less service and quality. Good luck on your quest.

So I thought this may have been a misunderstanding but then again text show I booked a hair color appt a week in advance AND also confirmed hair color appt the day before. I came in ON TIME the day of my appt and was told they don’t do highlights on Saturdays only on weekdays, then said my hair is too thin to color. I can tell the stylist was just hesitant to do my hair. Which I was kind of shocked because I went to her consistently 3/4 times in a row for a wash & set. . I just moved here from Florida in June, and was so happy to find a Dominican salon. I grew up with and have family friends who are from DR and never felt discriminated like this before, and I can understand Spanish somewhat also… so to continue the story, after the stylist basically told me she couldn’t color my hair a lady comes in right after to get her hair colored. LITERALLY seconds after she told me she didn’t do highlights on Saturdays, now I saw the foil for some type of mix with color. I never wanted highlights to be clear anyway. Overall, I think the stylist does a good job and I’m not here to bring someone’s hard working business down. I’m here to share an experience that left me feeling hurt and discriminated as someone of color who has natural hair & I get keratin treatments so my hair reverts back to straight just when it’s not it looks like different hair textures due to new growth….. Moving on,there’s so much going on in the world and I just hope the intentions were misunderstood and to communicate better with clients before they book an appointment. I also feel like maybe if the stylist explained why she thought my hair was too thin to color because after she straighten it she then asked me if I wanted to color it so I thought to myself, it’s really not as thin as ya thought huh? .. I’ve colored my hair before and been perfectly fine with it. You never know what impact you put on someone and thankfully I love my hair and myself just as I am and will get my hair colored by a stylist who can accommodate for all hair types.

I was declined because of my gender. They only do Women's hair. I think you have to value the person before judging cause of gender. I felt really rejected, So if you are gender fluid or men. They dont do mens hair lol which is funny. I have mid long hair and I wanted a blowout, treatment and highlights, She went to re-direct me to the barbers, I never said I wanted a haircut. Hair is hair. Its 2021 stop judging gender stereotypes.
