We've been going to ELVH and pet orphanage for many years! They have extremely high standards of care. I always know that my dog or kitty is in the best of hands. Adopting here has also been a wonderful experience! If you go here, you're part of the family!

If you have a life and death emergency please go somewhere else. This place refused help to a dying cat. Me and my partner went for a walk this morning and saw a dog mauling a cat. Luckily we scared the dog off of it but it was in critical condition . We looked up open veterinary emergency rooms because it is Sunday and most places are closed. We found this place and decided to go from Mesquite as fast as we could to them. When arriving with a clearly injured cat they asked if we would cover expenses we said we found the cat and it appeared to be a stray and they recommended us to go to THEIR other building and we were shut down and turned away from both they said go to the animal clinic when they open Knowing the cat needed immediate attention . Me and my partner where desperate to look for someone to help that we even drove all the way back to mesquite to see if the Mesquite animal shelter would help or give us an idea of what to do. Thankfully even with them being closed they opened the door and didn't turn us down due to money or paperwork. They helped me and my partner calm down and helped the cat. We knew the cat could've died in our arms at any moment but we wanted to give it the proper care and help it needed. I am so grateful to the MESQUITE ANIMAL SHELTER for helping us make that cat as comfortable as they could. Currently they took it to the hospital I dont know how the cat is doing but I know it has a better chance with the proper care. I honestly am really disappointed in how the situation was handled by the Vet hospital i am in shock that the shelter has more heart then you guys. Do better.

DO NOT GO TO EAST LAKE FOR YOUR VETERINARY NEEDS! Quoted us $800 for neutering (first dog, looked it up afterwards and the range is $75-$400) when going to pick up our dog, they told us the total charge would be $2100 with no explanation why. Constant scams, frauds, and whenever he was boarded there, he would come back acting like a trauma victim (has been boarded at many different clinics and never had this issue anywhere else)

Always met with a friendly staff. Just adopted a dog. Experience was great ?. Our Vet., Dr. Fling, Is Awesome. Takes the time to sit and talk, explain your pets condition and answer your questions.Have taken all my fur babies to East Lake for over 15 years.

We decided to board our cat, Rhubarb, over Thanksgiving. We usually have someone trusted come to the house while we’re gone, but no one was available this time. I saw the mostly good reviews and this place is close to our house, so it seemed like a good fit. First issue was the lack of reasonably priced lodging. The only option left was a full bedroom for $90/night. Since we were limited on options, we decided to just do that and were excited that Rhubarb would have a whole comfy space to herself. The breakdown of communication from East Lake started here. They said they only had openings in the main hospital rather than the cat center. So we asked if we should drop her off there, and they said no drop her off at the cat center. When we arrived their payment system was down, making the check-in process way longer than it should have been, and we find out they still have to transport her to the main hospital, so she now has to have a car ride with a stranger entirely unnecessarily. During the trip we opted to have her examined by the vet since we had recently adopted her and needed to get her up on her shots. The vet calls me and says that my very sweet, typically unafraid cat was so scared by a scale (while we have a scale at home that she loves to get on and weigh herself) that the vet could not finish the exam. Alarm bells rang in my mind, but I figured if there was an issue they would call me, right? Wrong. Apparently she was not eating well and instead of giving her the food we brought and explicitly told them to only use food we provided, they decided to just give her their food without telling us at all. She has sensitivities and the food we provided is the only thing that does not make her sick. When we picked her up, the bill was $300 more than expected, they did not even have pictures or a little report card summarizing her stay, and again the communication was zero during our whole trip when Rhubarb was showing significant signs of stress. And immediately when we got home, she threw up, and took a couple days for her to entirely return back to normal. I cannot believe the lack of professionalism and the lack of communication from a place that expects you to spend so much money. DO NOT board your pets here, especially if they have dietary issues. They don’t follow instructions and they don’t communicate.

If you have to board your furbabies, I cannot recommend East Lake highly enough. Having the peace of mind that our dogs were not only safe, but LOVED is the greatest comfort we can have when we vacation. Their medications were administered properly, they were fed well and when we picked them up, we could immediately see that they were not stressed out. Once home, we could see how happy and relaxed they were. From experience, this has not always been the case at other places. And with senior dogs, knowing there is a vet on site 24/7 provides us a level of comfort that is priceless. Thank you East Lake for all you do!

I called because my kitten threw up worms and they were able to get him in that day, a Saturday, for an exam, testing, and medications! They were amazing and I got my other 2 cats brought in the next day as well for their exams and medication. I will be using them for all my future needs and I can’t wait to check out the cat care center!

Super knowledgeable doctors, took my cats after years at another vet and had issues that never had a resolution with the other vet resolved - doctors all so involved and caring, will even text you updates about Pets which is unheard of. Highly recommend.
