I like the prices and I found what I needed however I didn't like the fact that at the self checkout the register was slow going to zero. I started walking away and the Cashier stops me as if I didn't pay!! I had the receipt in my hand. I don't steal!!!!

Super authentic mexican grocery store! As a tourist from Canada, I always love visiting local supermarkets and found this place not too far from our hotel. We arrived early on a Monday morning, plenty of parking, spacious large interior. All staff seems hispanic, we were the only "whites" in the whole store. We browsed through, with no particular purchase plans in mind, just checking out the bakery and fresh food selection. I was super impressed with all the fresh products made on site. There is a bakery for all kinds of pastries and custom cakes, a small area where you can get balloons or floral arrangements, food counter with ready made eats, tortillas, chips and other breads all made on site. Best of all for me was the butcher section, there are SO many marinated meats and different cuts. It is very impressive. If you are looking for imported goods from Mexico or want to throw a party or BBQ, this place has it all. Really loved the experience!

Great spot for fruits and vegetables and anything you need from Mexico. Great selection of peppers and Mexican spices. Pretty good meat section as well.

We love coming here for fresh meat, fresh veggies, aguas frescas, and everything our Hispanic household needs. The cost for our groceries is so much better than the other Big Hispanic grocers. I highly recommend this location and this store!!Plus, their handmade tortillas are the best!

I was hungry for Taco Bueno crunchy beef tacos, but I like fresh avocado slices on my tacos. So, I had never been to El Rancho before and figured they had some avocados. I was a little at a disadvantage because I don't speak or read Spanish. But I found avocados and some nice looking frescas (strawberries) and grapes. All of the produce looked good and the prices were great. I would shop here again!

On a recent visit I stopped at the cosina by the tortillería. I had a question on the chicharrones. There were two kinds; different colors and textures. The labels on them provided no details. I asked 3 different employees about them, and they didn't know the answer. I asked the last one who would know, and he totally ignored me.I then asked another employee walking by who the manager was. He said "Camila, but I haven't seen her all day." I shopped for a while. I then asked another employee, and the same answer, plus she said should be up in front with the cashiers.I then asked several cashiers; the typical answer was she was "on break." One asked me "Why do you want to talk to the manager?" I said I had a problem and I needed to talk to her. Camila finally appeared minutes later. I asked her the question on the chicharrones and asked her to come with me so I could show her the two kinds. She refused.I then told her I wasn't satisfied with her answers and she said "Okay." and walked away.

I ordered a graduation cake. This is the second time I've gotten a cake from them. The first time OMG, the cake was awesome. This go around it was dry, and the strawberry filling was not like the strawberry jelly type filling as before it was actual chunks of fresh strawberries. I would have preferred the strawberry jelly they used last time. I'm disappointed because it was dry.

My family was racially profiled here at this store over Memorial Day weekend. They spent over 200$ here at this store! And they falsely accused my family of stealing a can of tomatoes for freaking $1.00 like BE SERIOUS. Come to find out their scanners wasn’t properly scanning the items. Even the worker tried scanning it and it wouldn’t scan!! So don’t go lying on someone cause your stuff isn’t working! Seems like they’re just looking for trouble! If they had some working employees at the cash registers maybe all of this could’ve been avoided!! Once my family told them to cancel order and give them their money back these employees started to tell them “no it’s okay”. I’m like yeah I bet cause you just spent 200$ in here and they want to falsely accuse for $1 can of tomato. Well now we are going to see who gets the last laugh! I’m BIG on Discrimination and will not tolerate it! My attorney is involved now!!

My only complaint is that the people who run this store obviously don't pay attention or don't care. Hispanics don't like self checkout! We never have and never will! Stop trying to force us to do it because it's not gonna happen! So just open more registers and acknowledge what you see with your eyes. We would rather wait 15min than scan our own groceries!

would never recommended this location. My mother and I came in on Monday morning and bought groceries for a party. As we went to checkout there was no workers actually at a register so we had to use self checkout. It took us over 15 mins to check out as they register just kept giving us error messages. After finally getting through scanning everything it was time to pay and we spent over $200. As we were leaving the store we were rudely stopped by a lady who stood infront of our basket and was speaking on the phone and immediately starting going through our bags. She didn’t say why she was stopping us, she didn’t say anything as she proceeded to just go through our groceries. -At this point we have paid for everything so the items no longer belong to them so she had no right to just start inserting her hands onto our things. As I am asking her what is the problem she acted as though she couldnt understand any English and just ignored us. Then another employee came and asked for the receipt and accused us of stealing a small can of tomato sauce. Literally a .99 cent can and they were acting as if though we were stealing all these items. I immediately felt offended as though my mother and myself were the only AFRICAN AMERICAN (BLACK) women in the store and they were almost helping us hostage. We explained that if the can of tomatoes weren’t scanned that it was not intentional but the register was having issues and it isn’t my job to know if the register is working correctly. We proceeded to let them know if they really feel as though we would steal a 99 cent can after spending over $200 then they can just refund us and we can go spend our money somewhere else were our money is appreciated and we aren’t being racially profiled. The manager of course didn’t want to refund us our money so we could leave. We then threatened to call the cops as of this point we are requesting our money back and they were refusing. She then asked if we still wanted the can of tomatoes and clearly we wanted them because we bought them in the first place. As the manager went to scan the item at the register the can didn’t automatically scan as even though it beeped the item was t actually ringing up and ghat there clearly explained our point. You all machines are giving the indication that the item is actually being rung up when it’s not. When the item finally scanned after multiple attempts the total came out to $1.17. Just ridiculous if we can afford to spend over $200, we can afford to spend $1. We weren’t apologized to at all we were just continuously starred out as we finally were let out the store. The way the situation happened was very unprofessional and distasteful. They simply could have just let us know that an item wasn’t properly scanned it instead of accusing us of stealing and immediately going through our bags and pulling out our items with no explanation. Someone needs to re-evaluate their employees and address the situation. I have never been racially profiled until I walked into the store this day. I hope no one else ever has to experience that situation. I have also posted a picture of the two women involved in the incident

I go here to buy Jarritos. They have good prices! Employees are ALWAYS on their cell phones and not attentive to the customer we've had a lot of experiences in the already cooked area and they don't tend to you like they should there minding everybody else's business or on their cellphones the cashiers don't speak either English or Spanish to anyone! Customer service isn't what it used to be!

Definitely have to speak Spanish to go here I got so frustrated one day when I was looking for tortillas I asked 5 or 6 employees none knew what tortillas meant really? Also cashiers need more help with opening more registers. They have so many why only have 2 open, unreal! I had a cart so full with waters etc. and they r telling me go 2 self check out. Driving that cart no way doesn’t help they made a maze out of shelves and candies that loops round to get to self checkout. I bought some root beers in markdown and couldn’t pay for them with my food stamps card not right. O yeah don’t buy milk from here it’s never any good before expiration also could have been a temp. Problem of it getting to warm
