Always a great experience using Extra Space Storage. The manager Kizzey helped me with a smooth completion of move-out and Dre gave me specific and helpful move-out instructions prior to me moving out of my storage. The facilities are also well kept and nothing is never inoperable when I’ve come to check on my storage. I will definitely use ESS for all my storage needs in the future!

Kizzey is definitely a asset to this company. The professionalism she showed while not only working with me but also handling a customer's concerns over the phone. I was so glad to see her today as I was moving out of my unit. I needed my wallet that was in the car so I ran to get it, on my return to the lobby three other people had arrived and she was finishing up with another customer on the phone . Polite as always she asked that the guest in front of her wait 2 seconds and help me finish my check out. She is a true professional and may her career track here or anywhere she chooses, take her places. She is the customer service professional you definitely want on your team. Great job.Thank you Kizzey and best of luck on a bright future.

— Updating review as of 9/6/2025 after talking to Niki who is a District Lead. It is VERY CLEAR that this company has FRAUDULENT AND SHIFTY business practices. Niki REFUSED TO EMAIL OR MAIL ME A COPY OF MY RATE INCREASE. AGAIN DO NOT RENT HERE.
They WILL UP YOUR RATE MONTHLY TO REFLECT MARKET RATE WITH NO WARNING OR DOCUMENTED CHANGE TO YOUR CONTRACT.
You’re just expected to pay. They will tell you “THEY SENT A POSTCARD IN THE MAIL” and that’s it. Fraud fraud fraud.

Money Laundering 101. Tax Evasion 103
Prior Review: Do not rent here. They will raise your rent to over double your “promotional rate” within three months of you renting. I rented a unit for $47 and the new manager (the fourth one they have been through in one year) stated they send you a month to month lease and can raise the rent at any time. They raised my rent to $89 and then had a white, male with racial undertones in his voice call me and say he was the central Texas district manager and could only get it down to $75. I just moved in 4/7. I actually moved units from a larger one to a smaller one to get the promotional rate and they pulled this stunt. In 2024 they had multiple units robbed by their own employees and had to pay settlements. I never wrote a review about that but this is the final straw. I am certain Extra Space is Money Laundering. Raising rents but reporting the cheaper rents to the government. If they aren’t Money Laundering then it’s for sure Tax Evasion. Needs to have a federal investigation.
