Christmas is here and bills are piling up, however I knew I could borrow against my 401k to help with rent. I got an eviction notice and called fidelity to request a hardship withdrawal on 11.27.23. It is now 12.11.23 and I still don't have my money. When I call they say your money was sent by check, when I entered my direct deposit info they still sent it by check. The agents say they can't stop the check and reissue my money by direct deposit. It has been about 3 weeks and now I'm in jeopardy of loosing my home. They say the mail is slow...no problems from Amazon or family members sending stuff for Christmas, so that excuse doesn't fly with me. I just need my money. I am beyond frustrated with this company and just need my money!!

I have a lot of money with Fidelity so I naively thought it might mean something in terms of getting an appointment with my advisor, but no. I had to go through an 800 number and the person told me it was a 3+ week wait. That is ridiculous. I emailed my advisor and he does not answer. He calls me when he wants something but I can't reach him directly when I need help.I never thought I would say this about Fidelity, but I agree with the previous review that said "the worse customer service."

This post is about Fidelity overall not this office in trying to access funds for my account. Having given complete proof this is still taken several months and the Fidelity representative doesn't even get back to me by phone after days. Fidelity thinks that your gas bill is the best proof of citizenship and identity. imagine your gas bill! not your birth certificate, not your social security number, not your photo ID, not your auto registration title or insurance card. Not a medallion guarantee from your existing brokerage firm. Your gas bill or electric bill! Funds that lawfully belong to me are being hidden in a Fidelity account that cannot be accessed or traded or have stop-losses put on to protect existing positions because of corporate policy Fidelity is blocking access because of policy?

I created a Fidelity account because it sounded like they were the company to go with. In short it sounded like they were investing done right. Fast forward a few weeks and Fidelity decided they would lock my account because my investing in real estate did not count as investing in their mind. I have now been working on getting my money back for the past 3 weeks as they keep making different excuses for why they cannot return it. They are now telling be they have locked my account and I have to send them some different documents for them to send me my money. Because they locked my account I cannot submit my Documents online and they keep telling me my ID will not fax through clearly. I am glad they want my documents, but I have an issue with any company that needs no personal info to set up an account but then needs a bunch of info for me to get my money back.

Was told I couldn’t remove my name from the junk mail they send me without giving up my social and other info. So they deserve a 1 star, for sending mail that nobody asks for.

The worst customer service. If you need support, just take your money elsewhere. They are no help.

I don't like the fact that they have a problem with connecting my bank accounts right it's bad enough you're not accepting cash so I try to connect another bank account I've been trying to do this for months and it has not been appropriated for me.
