Located in the Dallas Design District, Galleri Urbane is committed to the promotion of contemporary artists nationally and abroad. Est. 2000 in Silver City, N.M. After two pop up exhibitions in Marfa, Tx during Chinati Open House in (2001/2002), the owners Ree and Jason Willaford then established Galleri Urbane in a 100-year-old adobe building in Central Marfa (2003 - 2019). In 2009, the Dallas location opened, where the gallery remains today. Galleri Urbane has advocated for the careers of contemporary artists (both emerging and mid-career), These artists—painters, sculptors, photographers, and mixed-media and conceptual artists—share the gallery's mission to innovate beyond existing applications and conventions.
