Great place! Tasty classic Italian dishes. Bread is fresh and flavorful. Service is great. Bartenders are friendly (Josh is great and wish I remembered more of their names!). Would recommend for a tasty Italian meal on Lower Greenville. Cheers!

I really loved this little restaurant and the food is excellent; for those of us who love Italian. The menu item I had was generously served and so do the meal of my companion. Lower Greenville has come a long way and offers pedestrian friendly infrastructure that compliment a nice dinner here with a nice stroll.

Great food, awesome customer service. The food is awesome, I recommend the Tour of Italy. It is a family establishment with great presence.

The food is amazing. I had spaghetti with Italian sausage, excellent. The calamari is outstanding. And our waitress, Amber did a great job taking care of us.

The meal I had was not the generic red sauce and spaghetti. It was a bit spicy rather than the generic salt or sugar flavor. It felt like a good value and the open air feel was good that day

I always sit at the bar and the service is consistently great! Food is delicious, especially for the price. I love their vodka sauce and the greek salad was huge. Definitely check out the lunch specials!

I didn't expect to find good Italian food in Dallas, but I was certainly wrong. This place was excellent! The attention to detail was noticeable. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Food was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. Attentive staff that clearly like what they do. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a great dinner and drinks experience in Dallas.

This review is long overdue..... I need more stars! Family owned establishment and the family is VERY active in the business. It's good to see a family work hard, build, and grow together! Great location! I frequent this establishment quite a bit, and I love this restaurant! I've had 2 gatherings, and all were a hit, ranging from 10-25 guests, and not including personal dining experiences! The restaurant/ staff were so accommodating, attentive, and welcoming. The type of customer service we received felt like we rented the entire establishment and had it to ourselves. The food is authentic Italian cuisines and the cocktails are delicious! Make sure you get the bread, it's really good, too! The prices are just right, and the atmosphere is for all types of occasions (parties, date night, casual, socializing, and fundays). Never disappoints! Lifetime membership, and I need a Gallo Nero Shirt!

Delicious ! It's super loud so don't expect a quiet romantic dinner but the food was great and service was good too . We had rigatoni with vodka sauce , spaghetti with meat sauce and pizza's at our table and everything was delicious . The garlic bread is wonderful and so were the Greek salads! If we lived here, we would be back often It's a great location too with tons of stores, restaurants and such around it and you can sit outside .

I ended up randomly picking this place with my boyfriend and were we pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The service was incredible, service so great that you don't typically encounter these days. The food was top notch they had us smiling and full! They definitely have a happy customer and I will 100% for sure be returning frequently to this place! Shout out to Fifa for being an awesome waitress too :)

Cozy spot for a good Italian meal on beautiful Lower Greenville. We went last night for Valentines. It was a great choice. We enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms, chicken piccata and chicken Parmesan. We finished with a cannoli and Nutella crepe. All tasty. Their complimentary bread was really good as well. Service was good and food was served quickly. House Chardonnay was alright - what I expected but not bad. Overall - great location, nice ambiance, good food and service and very reasonable prices.

I went here on a Friday night with my best friend sometime between 7-8. We had a 30 minute wait which was fine since we got wine at the bar & just talked. The wait was TOTALLY WORTH IT! Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the food because I dove right in & couldn't stop, it was so good! I got the mahi mahi with veggies - they also provide bread as you sit down. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate - it has a very welcoming ambience to it. Our service was wonderful! If you order a crepe, they do it in front of you & the smell of it circles around the whole restaurant, it's amazing! It almost smells like chocolate chip cookies that are baking in the oven until I realized they were making crepes - it's such a home-y smell. I definitely recommend this restaurant, you won't be disappointed!

Quaint Italian restaurant with homemade dishes. All dishes are served fresh with sauces made from scratch. Phenomenal happy hour (Saturday happy hours to top it off)! If you're looking for a great place to catch up with a friend or treat your significant other, this is the place! Amazing staff. Could not recommend this place enough!

This was a very hip low key Italian cafe. Modern yet the food is very old world Italian. Love love loved it. Staff was extremely wonderful and we arrived late and the staff was still so full of energy and smiles!

Amazing service! Food kicks a** too. But the service is great - Uber Eats delivered like 45 minutes after quoted And they called and offered to send me a new sandwich since it was so old (and not so great of shape...) Totally fabulous people!!

Gallo Nero knocked our Saturday dinner out of the park. From the hostess to the waiters, to the incredible dishes they served us-- it was a memorable, mouthwatering experience that I can't wait to return for again soon. The place itself is somewhat casual, but the food is anything but basic. But before I go into the delicious details, let's talk about the service. While we waited for an upstairs table, we sat at the bar. The bartender was pleasant and welcoming and suggested a fantastic glass cabernet to start our meal. First impressions matter and that definitely did the trick. About 5 minutes later, our table was ready. We started with the calamari which was crispy, chewy, warm and seasoned to perfection. From there, we opted for the chicken barbecue pizza which was delightful... and the creamy, delectable vodka sauce pasta (Tour of Italy dish). This dish is singlehandedly reason enough to return on its own. On top of everything, prices are a steal for the quality and overall experience. Come during happy hour and stay for the amazing food. A sparkling new gem for a cozy, indulgent dinner on lower greenville.

I was excited to try gallo Nero and This place was so below average. I'm very disappointed! The environment was so off. The calamari looked microwaved. My meal which was the Murphy with vodka sauce was decent but overall not the best experience. we will not be back

I got the eggplant parmigiana it was lukewarm and cheese wasn't melted all the way. They had half off bottles of wine on Wednesday so groups were socializing and it looked fun. I was there to eat though and my food wasn't great. They gave me a free crepe after dinner though. The tour of Italy was equally unimpressive.

I just ordered delivery and am extremely happy. Not only was the food hot and delicious but the lady who delivered my food was wonderfully sweet. I was that person who ordered food during pouring down rain and she was still very kind and even apologized to me for it taking longer than expected! Apparently the electricity even went out at the restaurant but it still didn't take too long to get here. Very very happy! Will order from here again!

This was a GrubHub delivery and made for an amazing meal! Had the Veal Marsala, Chicken Marsala, Spaghetti with Meatballs, garlic bread, salads and Cannoli. Food was delivered hot for the hot items and cold for the cold items, expertly packed, large portion sizes with plenty of flatware, extra bread and sauces. Flavors were outstanding! The meats had plenty of flavor and the Marsala sauce was not too sweet or over powering. The garlic bread had just a touch of char that made the taste buds happy. Delivery was on time and friendly.

We had a great family dinner at Gallo Nero.. everything was awesome from the calamari and pizza to the Chicken Murphy....and my new favorite dessert is the Strawberry Nutella Crapes that Festim made to order! As always.. the service by Ashley and Fife was outstanding too.

Oh good lord. The tortellini with vodka sauce is un-freaking--believable! My husband loves the pizza!!! But honestly it's all good. It's worth the money! Gooooo eat here! You won't be disappointed oh my goodness.

This is a new restaurant in our neighborhood and we thought we would give it a try. I had the tortellini alla panna and it was very good. My wife the Eggplant rollatini and she enjoyed it. The service is friendly. So three circles. Well I don’t drink so I always have water. The water was served in “plastic cups” like on a picnic. The bread was terrible and served with butter. I lived in Italy bread was never served with butter but with Olive oil. I don’t think oil could have helped this bread. This would be a great place to bring a family. I think there is enough on the menu for parents and kids.
