I shopped at this Gap store multiple of times and have become very familiar with the workers faces. Today I went to shop around 12pm and was greeted by a familiar face she greeted me and my two children and has helped me various times in kid gap and once in the adult gap. As I walked through the child gap I noticed I was being followed around so I intentionally walked in various spots to make sure I was correct. I then walked to the Register to check out and here comes the cashier following me but when turning the corner instead of looking at the register the cashier looked towards the door way like I was gonna take the items. I stood at the register stated I’m over here and then asked why am I being followed. I was told it’s” the jobs role” to walk around follow the customer and I guess not let them shop in peace. Not once was I asked within that maybe 8 minutes did I need any help. I was just followed by someone who kept picking up folded clothes out tong them back down and picking up clothes on a hanger and placing them back down. I started to get annoyed because I’ve been here plenty of times and it has never happened!! I normally come when it’s less busy to have a more peaceful shopping experience but I was being hovered over the entire time from one end of the store to the next. Then I spoke with the floor manager who smirked in my face the entire time, then the store manager I’m assuming. He asked me “who followed you around” “‘maybe it was him just trying to make sure you have the correct sizes or make sure you have the help you need” I’m a grown woman I can come ask for help but to make me feel like you have to watch my every step from one side of the store to the next is unacceptable. I then was gaslit by him. I told him I’ve been here various time and recognized a worker there who also has been at the register and checked me out before and didn’t follow me around then he stated she has not done it in 20 years and he has tried to get her to do it but she won’t... I’d like to pull up all my e receipts and let’s see if her name is on it or cashier number. I don’t like how he chose to gaslight me instead of another action… but then I chose to do another observation to see if another couple would be followed around the child gap when they entered and ofc they were not. The cashier was right at the register as I watched.

The staff here were super friendly and helpful. One man with glasses helped me out as soon as I walked in and answered all my questions. Another man helped me hang up my clothes in the fitting room while I was walking around. He didn’t hover while I was browsing, but every time my hands were full, he showed up to help. Super thoughtful and made me feel really comfortable . I’d definitely love to buy more products from gap🙆🏻♀️

Very large store, with a variety of clothing styles for both him and her. Very few employees but when you need them they arrive suddenly. I found my size XL and that made me very happy. The quality of the clothing is excellent.
