A very special thank you to the staff at Hillside. Kelly and and Dr Williams were so helpful, caring and kind during our 2 visits this week which resulted in our fur baby crossing the ? bridge. When the time came.. We we taken back to the most amazing room that was absolutely fitting for the last few minutes with our baby. We felt so at peace during the whole process and will use them again for any future needs.

Wasted my money with exams and X-rays that was almost $1000 just to tell me they didn't know. Just to go home and keep an eye on him. He's still the same. They don't care they just want your money..

These people are all about the money. They do not even follow up, call or continue food rx after they completely tapped out my credit and sent me home with a "tentstive" dog. Dr Smith should not be practicing. They literally spent more time on securing my care credit than they did discussing my dog. THEY ARE HORRIBLE UNCARING MONEY GRUBBERS WHO CARE MORE ABOUT HEATING THEIR POOL THAN YOUR DOG! if you are rich, come here. If not, they will let your dog die in the lobby!

Over the course of 29 years they have cared for three of my dogs. Annual visits, ear infections, joint issues, back issues, etc. Always an A+ experience. It starts with their front office, vet techs, and doctors. Can't say enough about how much I trust this business and their other clinic when it was open at Royal Lane.

They overcharge you for "packages " for vet care and won't break these charges down if you don't want them. They don't tell you when they say they will change you for an ear cleaning for a dog you will walk out with almost 150.00 charge and when questioned as to the bill the staff is extremely condescending and dismissive.

This is our 4th encounter with Hillside Ver and I continue to be highly satisfied with their care of my 13-year-old fur baby. Dr. Frankford was caring and decisive. She understood my desire for conservative treatment (based on age and finances.). She did a thorough workup, was confident with a plan of conservative action while still supporting the possibility of more intensive treatment. All the staff are competent and efficient. I only wish I lives closer so we can use Hillside as our regular vet, rather than urgent care.

Thankfully they got me in immediately and helped my sick pup. Thank you Hillside.

Waited 3 hours for the vet to nickel and dime us. Seemed more conserved about how much the bill will be instead of actually finding out what was wrong with our dog. $271 later and they say, “we don’t know what is wrong.” Terrible experience!

Always a great experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They take the time to play with my pup Milo so that he's comfortable with them before his checkup. And they answer all of my questions, which is usually a lot! Great practice to use!

After being treated for dehydration, my dog was still in poor condition. The vet presented me three options: 1) Have my dog boarded at a more expensive location. 2) Have my dog boarded at Hillside. 3) Put the dog down. I opted to take my dog home (the option they failed to provide me). Upon paying close to $700, I was surprised that I had not been provided any care instructions. I asked for this, and they acted as though my request was unreasonable. Nevertheless, they agreed to email me instructions BY THE END OF THE DAY (like my dog could wait that long), but I never received any. Essentially, once I declined their options my dog was dead to them. They even presented me an additional option after opting to take my dog home: to bring my dog back to be put down. Wonderful service, truly. P.S. My dog lived and is doing quite well.

We deal with the office at work (Uniform World), and the staff is always a pleasure. Recently though, I had to take my adopted pet, a lovely senior pup named Roger. They were so kind and thorough! At 2:30AM, it was beautiful to find such comfort! Thank you!

Never, ever again. I have taken several dogs and cats to Hillside Veterinary Clinic in the past and had experienced good treatment and service. One year ago, it all changed with two botched surgical procedures, an unpleasant and grim-faced older staff or giggling girls who answer the phone laughing, vets who do not return calls, incompetent assistants who either lose messages for the vet or send it to the wrong inbox), and no follow-up. I won't even begin to describe the two botched procedures (both to the same cat for the same issue) but they did not blink while charging almost $5000 for the experience. Never, ever again. Hillside is quick to blame my terrible experiences on changes resulting from new corporate ownership. This is a compassionate care industry. If your allegiance to your corporate policies replace your compassion for your customers and their pets, you are in the wrong industry. And if you are searching for a vet that puts the satisfaction of its customers and the welfare of their pets first and foremost, you are at the wrong vet. Never, ever again.

The vet I am reviewing is DR HEATHER FRANKFURT at Hillside. Made a visit to Hillside today. First kitten. I thought she had a UT infection. THe vet checked her urine and said there was a small amount of blood and proteins. She said it was more than likely a UT infection and prescribed 40.00 antibiotic. The visit total was 180.00. A few thoughts.. When I called at 8am to see if they had any appointments the person ask how the cat was and I said she had been in pain. She said come in, it sounds urgent. I then ask her when how much URGENT cost - 150.00. I then ask her when the next appointment was. She said there was one in about an hour. The price different was 50.00. It would take me an hour to get there. I felt she was trying to get me to pay for an urgent charge instead of appointment charge. I am not accusing her of this, but this is what it felt like to me. 1. I made it clear when I came in I was not a walking bank. When I said this the vet should have reconfigured what could be done with what I would pay. Instead she added probiotics that were 30.00. The amox prescription ( 40.00). I had the probiotics removed from the bill before checkout. 2.The vet was somewhat stoic. While she was courteous she was succinct and to the point I felt my questions were delaying her from leaving the room. I ask her a question about female cats and heat and her answer was woefully inadequate. This is the first female kitten and did not have much info in the way of heat. She said that other cats can bring on heat which is true but I was concerned about how often she would be in heat and what to expect. She didn't answer the question and I left more confused. I also wanted to ask what factors could have led to the UT infection to prevent it from reoccurring. While she was kind her disposition makes it hard to want to use her as a vet. The tech person was great. Maybe the vet was having a bad day. I left there not wanting to come back. ADDENDUM MAY 4, 2022 The medicine prescribed has had toxic effects on the kitten. WIthin 2-3 minutes after giving the kitten looks terrible. She lays on the bed, no appetite. It's hard to watch. I called the clinic and Dr Frankfurt refused to change to a less toxic antibiotic, instead she wants to prescribe probiotic. She wants me to bring the kitten back in where there will be another 100.00 and possibly another 100 in medicine or tests. IN all I could spend between 400 - 500 dollars on a possible infection. The vet is Dr. Heather Frankfurt. I include her name because there are other vets at Hillside. I will NEVER use her again. IN my opinion she comes across as arrogant and self righteous. She talks too fast and she does not LISTEN. She interrupts. When she walked into the room to meet me and my pet, she did not greet me but TALKED AT ME. I feel its not partnership or a team effort she wants. I feel her arrogance gets in the way. It is my opinion Dr Frankfurt wants to work in the context of her own world and not the reality of my pet. It's not about her being right, its about the patient's illness and suffering. She would rather allow my animal to remain sick than spend the few minutes required of her to consider another reasonable course of action. It's reprehensible. There are others in the clinic who have been kind and professional. I hope this review serves and helps others make an informed decision where their pet can receive excellent care. I have a pet I love, and I know how it feels to watch one suffer. The
