I have been taking my dog here for now about a year and a half. All I have to say is that if you want to take your dog somewhere where it seems all they care about is taking your money and not helping your pet, this is the place to go! The receptionists have been extremely rude on multiple occasions and their solution to just about any problem is bringing you in and making you pay hundreds of dollars for something you could’ve found on Google. Do not come here.

What I was quoted on the phone was entirely different from what I was charged in-person, I paid almost $500 in comparison to thinking it'd be around $300. Vet and staff were very sweet and informative in person though. For reference I was told it'd be $109 for an exam and blood test and it instead ended up being $154 per cat.

I had to take my baby boy in Saturday. It was time for him to go home and see all of his past friends. The staff was so compassionate and kind. They allowed us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. Thank you from our broken hearts.

I've been taking Homer and Boo here for 7 years now and even though I moved, I still stick with them!! They are always soooo helpful and the front desk is so nice. I had to reschedule my dogs' yearly at the last minute today and the woman I spoke with was so kind and easy. She let me search my calendar for times and didn't rush me or make me feel like I was an inconvenience AT ALL! The vets are great but it's the customer service from everyone that really makes this place a gem for you AND your furry kids. By far, the best in my book!

Negative stars aren’t an option. I wouldn’t even take a fly with a broken wing here. It’s been 9 months since I took my precious cat here and I’ve been waiting until my emotions were a little more in check before leaving my review. I called to get an appointment and was told no appointments were available but could be seen as an emergency. I took my cat in and lobby was empty and he was seen right away. Maybe everybody cancelled or rescheduled their appointments, either way I was charged for an emergency visit. That’s fine, I get it and it was a Sunday. My cat had stopped eating a few days before so I knew time was not on his side and needed to be seen. They quickly took him away and brought him back and told me he is suffering and needs to be put down. After I refused they decided to do an X-ray. She wasn’t sure what was wrong but suggested I try to buy some drug on the black market because it’s not approved in America. She said he might have a disease that has no cure, a disease I later found was usually found in kittens. My cat was almost 17. After paying $800 for absolutely nothing I went home in tears and began searching for the drug. I spent the rest of the day researching the disease and drug in question. I called my regular vet the next day and was able to get in. He reviewed the information given by Hillside and disagreed with everything I was told. He actually felt a mass and had lost a lot of weight. We made the decision to put him to sleep. Time I could have spent with ny sweet cat was spent spinning my wheels searching google all night. I don’t feel the need to blast the vet we saw, but feel more could have been done to get an accurate diagnosis instead of giving me false hope.

Rounded up from a ~3.5 (not deserving of a 3 but not necessarily a 4)- Pros: Usually a lot of availability to get you in, competent staff- Cons: Expensive (can definitely find more reasonably priced care)For the most part, I have had an okay experience with Hillside. I was utilizing them for regular Vet care and had gone for one emergency care visit. The Vet I regularly saw was competent but would occasionally make remarks that did not sit well with me; I chalked it up to their personality and continued seeing them. However, the last visit made me sure I will no longer go to HVC. The Vet asked if I had any remaining questions as the appt was wrapping up & I mentioned I was using a solution to clean my dogs ears but wasn't sure if I was doing an effective job at it or not. The Vet replied "it's not rocket science". It was rude, unnecessary, and completely unhelpful. If you don't want your clients asking questions, don't ask if they have any!

Had to take my pup in for urgent care and the staff was amazing! They were helpful, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They explained everything to me, including my options for care. I also did not have to wait a long time for my pup to be seen and cared for. I highly recommend the facility and care providers, and even transferred my pup’s general vet to stay in their network of care (thrive pet healthcare). Thanks!

Amazing care, compassionate approach, and timely communication is what I experienced these past few weeks. My 14 year old small dog has had teeth issues for a while now and we didn’t realize how bad it was until he got an abscess on his tooth. After taking him to emergency care, they got us on the schedule promptly for dental surgery. Dr. Nollen and the entire team has taken such good care of my dog during his dental surgery and aftercare. Through troubleshooting and medication management, to also being kind and compassionate towards myself and my little dog. I am so grateful to have found this clinic and received the care for my pup. Thanks Dr. Nollen and all of the support staff!

Much more affordable than I had expected. We had to bring our aussie in unexpectedly due to a ruptured gland, and we only ended up waiting 20-30 minutes before being seen. Aside from that, the vet and everyone else in the clinic was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. When I got the bill I was surprised to see that they didn’t overcharge for the meds my dog needed. Many vets would have used that opportunity to add some more profit, but they charged me a fair and standard price when they easily could have marked their prices up as most 24/7 vet clinics do.

The vets here are always super nice and inviting! I’m one of those pet parents who call whenever they see ANYTHING wrong with my fur baby and they’re always super sweet. They always make the joke that he looks like “Gus” one of the techs old dogs and i think it’s cute because she then treats him just the same and I love that. Granted , he hates the vet, he loves the techs here!

I highly recommend this clinic! I brought my cat in for an emergency and we were seen quickly. They immediately started treatment and were very understanding and answered all of my questions. Everyone from the receptionists to the vets and techs were so sweet and kind. My cat is NOT an easy patient to say the least, but everyone treated her so well and was so sweet with her. When she had to stay in the hospital, they called me with updates and even allowed me to come visit her. They were very thorough and made sure to follow up during her recovery. I am so grateful that I was able to take my baby here. Special thank you to Dr. Matricardi and her team for taking such good care of Ana! She is the best!

I just wanted to write to compliment a Debbie who works upstairs. I brought my dog, Baker, in for a sonogram. She was so so kind and nice and just an all around good person. She was so sweet to Baker. When I left i just felt good she was there. I’m sure she is a huge asset to Hillside. Thank you to Debbie for making this a great experience. She’s awesome!

I left East Lake Vet Clinic due to their poor grooming services, indifferent customer care, and crazy high prices. I planned on establishing permanent care for my 2 cats at Hillside.I brought my oldest cat (17 y/o) into Hillside for our first visit. She had become suddenly sick. She was in a lot of pain. She did have to be put down due to liver failure but Hillside could not have been kinder and shown more empathy.I am going to continue care for my cat and now new kitten with Hillside. I feel like Hillside genuinely cares and they were much better at communicating with me. I do feel their prices are better but I do not have anything that is a direct comparison.

My Simba was sick and went through months long treatment and had to stay overnight, I asked them for a photo while he was there which they were happy to provide. He has come to this vet for the whole treatment process and I’ve been bringing my pets here and have suggested them to several people! They have a friendly staff and I love that they are open 24/7. Thank you?

All of the vets and techs are so kind and understanding. I have taken my cat here a handful of times since moving to Dallas and they have been so great each time. Most recently I took my cat in because he was throwing up a lot and they quickly found that he had a block that needed emergency treatment for. They were thorough and called me before, and immediately after the procedure to update me. I was able to visit him in recovery, and they even came in under-budget for the procedure.
