On Saturday, I bought a top from H&M; it was my first time shopping there. On Monday, I called the store to ask about their return policy because I had misplaced the receipt. They told me that I had 30 days to return the item with the tag still on, and without a receipt or email, I could receive store credit or exchange the item for something else.
Today, I went to the store, and there were two Black men with curly hair at the register. I explained my situation, and they told me I could pick something else to replace the item I didn’t like. I spent an hour looking for an alternative. However, when I returned to the register, I was informed that I couldn’t return or exchange the item without the receipt.
When I asked for my original item back, the cashier refused to give it to me, so I had to retrieve it myself. As I was leaving, I overheard them laughing at me. I’ve never felt so disrespected. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SHOPPING HERE

I’ve never been so insulted in my life. Kate the manager at the store denied me the chance to buy a beautiful dress. She was rude when I tried to talk to her. Pointed at me. Called me names and was hateful. Terrible I hope she gets fired.

It's been quite a while since I last visited an H&M store, but I decided to check it out again a week ago. Upon entering, I noticed a lot of changes in the brand. H&M has undergone a significant transformation in its fashion style, which has improved considerably. However, the quality of the clothing still leaves something to be desired.
I was excited to try on a few items to see how they fit, but I encountered an issue. The men's fitting room was closed, so I went to another fitting room on the other side of the store. Unfortunately, a store employee informed me that they weren't allowing customers to try on clothes at that time. The only option was to purchase the items and return them later if they didn’t fit. I believe this policy was enforced because the store was closing in 15 minutes, and they didn't want to deal with the hassle of fitting rooms right before closing time.
This experience left me somewhat upset. Even if the store is about to close, customers should still receive proper service until the very last minute. On a positive note, I did notice that this H&M store featured an H&M Home section, which had cool decor and various home goods. It was a pleasant surprise and shows that the brand is moving in a good direction overall. Despite the improvements in fashion and the new home section, H&M still needs to work on better store management to enhance the customer experience.

The customer service in their home department is the worst I've ever experienced. It seems they don't prioritize customer satisfaction. H&M Home department executives should take note if they want to succeed in sales.

As of 1/25/2024 the H&M at the galleria is closed or they might be remodeling but it is not open currently. I went in on a Wednesday looking for a last minute blouse and found out that the store isn't even open. Save yourself the drive I'm not sure if it's permanent or not.
