I want this place to succeed, and I want to like them... if you need to stop in for a quick donut for your kid go for it, but there are much yummier and less greasy options up Preston tbh. Like by all means, if it's your jam, go for it. It just read as very very oily to me and I wish I had gone elsewhere.

Delicious fresh donuts! The variety isn’t as wide as you’ll find at other bug chain shops but the quality here is top notch. Their glazed donuts are the best. I do wish they’d offer a white cream filling. The best part is when the owner slips some free donut holes into your bag or box!

The cinnamon roll was good, but the buttermilk cake donut and other cake donuts tasted like old oil. If youve ever sat in a mechanic shop, it tasted just like that smells--I know it's weird but hear me out!I did warm the donuts up in our air fryer too, it didnt help much. :(I don't know if its a Dallas thing, but donut shops out here serve these cake donuts, but they are yellow in color and very oily. Cake donuts are supposed to be soft (not crunchy) and a medium brown color on the outside, they hardly have any residual oil on them. I'd rather have Dunkin or a grocery store cake donut. Same issue as always in Dallas, it is saturated with sub par food places to make a quick buck. Gotta dig to get the good stuff in scam city.

This place has hot, delicious donuts at a very reasonable price every time, without fail. It is our Saturday tradition and we love it. Chen and Kyong, the husband and wife who own it, work unbelievably hard and do a great job. They go to bed at 6:00 p.m. and get up at 2:30 a.m. to get the shop up and running and start cranking out donuts for customers. Whoever said they are "aloof", "don't care" and "don't GAF" is sorely mistaken. If you take the time to say hello and get to know them a little, you'd learn a thing or two about how great they are, like I did. They are working harder than most people these days, but English is not their primary language so communication is sometimes difficult. Saying they don't care is just not true and an unfair judgement. If you don't like the donuts, fine. But words are powerful... be kind to people. You'll get a lot more than hot donuts.

Hot Donuts was closed the morning after the June 9th storm. Since we lost power again, I went there the morning after the Oct. 21 storm and grabbed four tasty donuts for my Mom and me. The donuts were fresh and tasty, but the selection was a bit weak. I poured a big cup of hot coffee and was off into the dark morning. All these vicious storms are becoming a nuisance, but what do you do. After all, we are still powerless over the weather.

Delicious donuts. Once a month I'll bring a dozen donuts to work and my co-workers gobble them up. Not a crumb in sight.

This is the donut shop I have been coming to for probably 20+ years. I love the lovely couple that work here and their donuts are the best I have ever had, definitely better than any chain donut shop.

Wow! Simply wow!! This place has some of the freshest donuts at 6:30 AM. The place is clean, it's like a little mom and pop kind of place, and very Business in out not a lot of wasted time discussing BS weather or something else, just let's do the deal and let's get you some fresh donuts so you can get to work or get on with your day. I love it!

Wow! Simply wow!! This place has some of the freshest donuts at 6:30 AM. I love it! The donut holes soft, Fresh, almost cloud like with a slightly sweet cinnamon flavor. Not over the top, just lightly dusted. The large sausage roll, with jalapeí±o is awesome! It literally has not just the jalapeí±o flavor, but the bite as well. Something that is lacking in a lot of good donut fare, but this is just simply wow. I do admit I think the breading is a little heavy on most biscuit like, but given what I have tasted in the past it is still extremely flavorful, so you can't gripe too much. But if you don't like heavy rolls or biscuits, the sausage Roll may not be for you. Would like to see something a little lighter on the roll bread, but otherwise like I keep saying, wow! My go to donut is going to be the chocolate covered buttermilk. If you have not had one of these they are awesome! The chocolate is good, but I prefer a darker chocolate yet is not so sweet that it makes your teeth hurt. That in itself with a medium dark chocolate is a pretty hard feat. So my recommendation for are you donut aficionados out there, give this guy a try. He's business, he's not going to sit talking about the weather, especially if he's busy. But the Donuts or some of the best I've had in the North Dallas area.

Screw the new owners for taking away the Denton location. It was a busy, loved Dentonite staple with great employees and soul.
