I have to say growing up going to hot topic I have always loved the nastalgia! However after a visit to the Irvibg location last wk I had such a bad experience at the Irving Texas location, I attemped to trade in the hoodies that were an incorrect buy n our part and trying to explain that was met with a negative attitude..we decided to go elsewhere and made the drive to the Gallaria and met Jackie & Andy (there was another gentlemen as well busy working the register and I wish id have gotten his name) my imteraction was with Jackie and Andy! They reminded me why I love Hot Topic even in my 40s! & I will forever visit this location regardless of the 55 minute drive...they made it worth it! As far as management material Jackie is hands down everything you would want or ask for running any store...she actually seems more like the district or Area manager type...I used to train GMs for restaruants and hotels...and Im telling you whatever you have going trickles down...she never sais she was the manager and never treated anyone beneath her...infact the exact opposite! She would take over and help when she could see they were trying..she never jumped in as many do..she patiently waited without making herself noticed....I cant say enough good things..what I do know is customer service is a dying art & she has it to a T and then some! Her attitude has more than rubbed off...she shoupd be a trainer for all the stores! Starting with Irvibg :)
and her attributes cant go un seen! There is no way! Im sure you guys know what you have in her and also the employess workong along side her and even the newest, learning from her...and I just need to say this...if a manager ever stops learning you no longer have an asset if they stop evolving you no longer have an asset! She is not no where near either and is 100% the type to learn from newer employess, and own it! I could see her patiently watching, liking what they did and saying I love that, Ill try that next time...I soumd like im rambling..I am..can you tell Ive experienced alot of sad service lately...nothing worth mentioning in a positive way...she made my day! Thank you Jackie!♡ Andy & the nice guy working hard that I failed to ask his name!

Almost everything is in girl sizes. Some girl was spraying Lysol and just sprayed me in the face, and when I declined the membership they got mad at me and passive aggressive. One girl did ask if I was doing ok. She was nice everyone else seemed to be angry at customers for some reason.

Will & Margo refused to help. When I came in will was at the front I asked for help and he said ask someone else. When I went to find someone else she was in the back and refused to help. She was just talking with another employee and acting like I wasn’t there. It really felt race related but I’m really hoping it wasn’t.

Customer service is Terrible at the Dallas Galleria Mall. The young blonde that checked me out gave me a hard time about using my daughter's hott cash we had in hand. We shop at hott topic where we live all the time and spend hundreds in there, never have an issue. Manager told her that we can use it and she still gave me an attitude. I believe we were profiled. Never going back to that store!!

Horrible costumer service. Trying to peacefully purchase an item and struggling with my account to use my in store cash and the worker was giving me attitude as if it's not her job to help me. Horrible. Forcefully got the money from hand and giving me dirty looks and horrible attitude. Never shopping here again. Replace ur employee

Me and my friends came in last week wanting to get some last minute clothes for a concert we were going to, and we had excellent help from Stormy and Shawnee! They were so quick to be of assistance and were more than willing to help us get allllll the deals. Plus they were both so kind!! Next time we’re in Dallas, we are coming back to this location ?

The staff are always lovely, but this location got rid of their clearance section because they're too small of a store. I don't go to the mall often, but when I do, I always check out what HT has on clearance. Unfortunately, I'll have to go to a different location further out to treat myself for more affordable goodies. :( Please bring it back.

06/27/2024: Lady that checked me out, short blonde pony tail, glasses, and septum piercing, tried to force me to sign up for rewards. After I politely declined, she insisted that it was “free” and I could collect rewards. I again said “no” and she took this opportunity to YELL at my friend who was standing in the store looking at T-shirts to ask if she had one. When I finally turned and said “No thank you, I just want the shirt please.” She totally shut down. No more ‘customer service’ voice and polite conversation, and her smile turned into a glare and a frown. She scribbled something down on a note pad while I was paying, and when I was done, she angrily said “Receipt’s in the bag.” I said “Thank you, have a nice day.” and I was met with silence and a glare. Safe to say, I won’t be returning.
