I met my new best friend here!I have seen other reviews for this place saying it’s not the most clean.. while I will admit this is true, I think it’s better than the animals having nothing. Even though the place is not perfect, they are saving lives. They responded to all my emails quickly. They even gave me a very nice cat carrier to take my new baby home. My cat I adopted named Goose also had a problem with his eye. He requires eye drops which they gave me. They also told me if I needed more I could come back and ask for me. The lady who had me fill out the paper work was also nice and explained everything to me.

Super friendly people. We were just donating some extra food, but the vibe was great here. I thought it would be great to pick up a cat while we were there, but wife vetoed this expansion to the mission.

The staff was remarkable. We visit a lot of shelters because we foster, and they were by far the friendliest shelter staff we have encountered. The shelter was also nice, with the cats just roaming around and walking up to people for “pets.” I highly recommend this location of Humane Society of Dallas County.

Inquired about surrendering cat. Lady that spoke to me was rude and was void of showing any empathy. I explained to her I needed to surrender my pet due to financial difficulties and she had a rude an robotic tone .She even said take him to animal services they won't kill him if he is friendly. I didn't have a problem with the place being full but the lady attitude is a problem especially if you are representing an organization that is supposed to help those that need it.

This is one of the best shelters I have ever been to. The staff and volunteers are so kind and want you to make the best decision for you and your family. They treat their animals so well and have a very good system in place with their cats, which roam free in the building which I'm assuming is why our cat is so social and friendly. We adopted a kitten from here and could not be happier. I appreciated everything they did for us through the entire, easy process and will be recommending it to anyone looking to adopt an animal.

The staff was absolutely amazing. We found an abandoned newborn kitten, dehydrated and malnourished. They knew exactly what to do and saved him.

The Humane Society of Dallas, also known as Dog n Kitty City, is a haven for animal lovers. This well-maintained facility is home to a diverse array of cats, kittens, and dogs, all eagerly awaiting their forever homes. The dedicated staff and volunteers go above and beyond to ensure the well-being of the animals in their care, with a particular emphasis on the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility. The abundance of kittens is a delightful sight, and it's clear that they receive exceptional care and attention. If you're looking to add a furry friend to your family, the Humane Society of Dallas is a wonderful place to find your new companion while supporting a worthy cause.

I gave them snickers, socks, ozzy, chucky, milo, frodo's tommy. Lola, Binxy, piprr, and Maggie. I hope they got good homes. It's a small good place for kitty's. They all got adopted

They never answer the phone or respond to messages. When I actually came to the shelter I was informed they are appointment only. How am I supposed to make a appointment without talking to someone?

Very disappointed in this place was told they would be at PetSmart for adoption week… but they never showed up! Come on guys don’t commit to something then just give up on it. Makes me wonder how they treat their staff and even worse the Animals.
