My experience with Joy Moving and Storage couldn't have been any worse! First, they were 2 days late picking up my belongings. Second, they took over 30 days to deliver my things, in the meantime it was very difficult to get in touch with anyone to find any information out. Third, when they arrived at 1030 pm and started unloading my furniture I noticed EVERY single piece of furniture was damaged! They asked me if that's what my furniture looked like when they picked it up and I told them NO it's brand new furniture. Then trying to talk to someone in regards to the damage, was almost impossible! I spoke with Mike, he told me from what I was telling him the damage was that "it must've been done on purpose" he told me I needed to go through the claims process, which I did and had plenty of proof and documentation of the damage, the claims dept offered me $64 for the damage, I sent an appeal letter and they came back with $94. They do not take any responsibility or follow the contract! They got away with ruining my furniture and I feel like they are very unprofessional and take advantage of people! Another thing, they forged my signature on ALL of the pick up documents! This is a terrible company and you would be foolish to have them handle your personal belongings!!!!

They don't follow the contract... After you drive a week cross the country, there is no sign of the furniture and belongs. They ask you to deposit all the rest of money in their bank account first!! Without seeing a sign of your staff. .... Is this legal?

If you are having trouble with this terrible company you can have them investigated by the TX Dept. of Transportation. They helped me deal with these guys and they can help you!

They broke most of our furniture and 55 inch TV. They carry insurance but it's about $0.66 a pound. Do not use this company. Lazy and just don't care about your belongings. Price over the phone was $400 lower than what they charged us.

Worst move ever!!! DO NOT USE this company. Received items that were severely damaged. Brand new 48 inch television set disappeared and of course no one knows where it is. Dinette table chair broken in two; barbecue grill also broken in two. Several items damaged.

I researched several moving companies when preparing for our cross-country move from Dallas. I ultimately asked three companies for an in-home estimate. We had a rough idea of what we thought the weight of our stuff should be since we had just moved our things to Dallas in the last couple years (although in 2 different rounds of moving). The other two estimates were just crazy high, and I didn't think their representatives acted that much like they really cared whether they were selected to help us with our move. However, Mike was friendly and immediately gave me the impression that he wanted our business and wanted us to have a positive experience. Obviously that was very important as a first impression. joy moving and storage agent mike assisted me with the contract and making the specific arrangements. With our cross-country move, we were not yet sure exactly where our house would be or when we would close on a house purchase and when we would be able to move in. mike was very patient and helpful as I asked more questions or requested more modifications to our arrangements. Ultimately, we thought we were going to need to have our stuff stored for a couple weeks before being delivered to Massachusetts, and we made arrangements with mike to do so. However, we then unexpectedly found out we could move our stuff into our new house sooner than the close date, and we then didn't need the storage. mike did everything he could to find a way to remove the storage from our arrangements to avoid the time and money it would take. He wasn't able to find a way to cancel the storage due to availability of moving various loads across the country. I completely understood, so I thanked him for his efforts and let it go. However, a few days later, I got a call from mike that he had found a way to cancel the storage and have our possessions moved directly from Dallas to our new home in Massachusetts, saving us the time and money for storage. I was thrilled that he had continued to try to find a way, ultimately with success, to make this change in our arrangements. The driver showed up timely on the day of our move, and he was professional and friendly throughout, as were the other two movers who came with him. They were careful with our possessions and the home we were leaving. I was very impressed with the job they did and how they worked hard to treat our things with care. For delivery, the driver called a day in advance, and the items were available to be delievered a day or two sooner than we had even expected, which was completely fine in our situation. The driver and the helpers for delivery were also professional and friendly. From our experience with this move, I give joy Moving the highest review I possibly can. Justin Dura

My experience was horrible. The company arrived 40 minutes late. The 2 men worked at a snails pace trying to collect more money than needed by delaying time. The truck got lost on the way to the new location. I only had a 2 bedroom apartment and one bedroom had a toddler bed and a mini dresser. I had all items boxed and bagged the night before ready to be loaded. The men went past 3 hour and both locations where in Fort Worth. The workers left several items on the side walk at my new location and did not assemble my one and only bed or my dinette table. I had to help load and help unload the truck. I'm a small frame female. I took a half of day off work that turned into a full day off work without pay. The agreed to wave $39.50 for the half hour they went over past the 3 hour mark. Then after I wrote my review. The company called my cell phone harassing and threating to sue me for 5 hours worth of work plus the $39.50 they agreed to wave after many complaints from me during the 31/2 ordeal. When I only used them for 31/2 hours. The company has showed another form of being unprofessional. A ROYAL MESS Horrible company S. Anderson

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! They damaged two pieces of expensive furniture and dropped a 200 lb dresser on my stairs, cracking the stair. The best part is they don't want to take responsibility for their damage. I'm still battling trying to file a claim. If you go with this company be prepared to have to buy new furniture after your move.

absolutely horrible!!!!!!! DO NOT! waste your money on these people its been nothing but trouble they tell you one thing but do another and then tell you its not their problem. they tell you whatever you wanna hear then turn around and change everything when they are already at your place packing up and tell you too bad.....i was told to just call whenever and they will deliver my stuff to the new address but NOPE! now we have an empty house for 30 days. they hold it for the 30 days you have it in storage im sure im going to get charged for it too even though its supposed to be free storage. their costumer service is the worst and the manager could care less about his costumers. i was told it was my problem that i fell for what they said and i had to work out the issues myself which cost me another couple hundred dollars that i didnt have to just spend....DO NOT! go with this horrible and rude company! i wouldnt even recommend them to my worst enemy!!! the lady i spoke to was Cassandra....like i said NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats $3,000 down the drain!!!!

Damaged 2 pieces of furniture and our wall. Took 2 months for them to ack damage and was told payment would be given that week, still no payment. I choose this company because the quote I was given over the phone was "$149 and hour for 5 men and $79 travel charge". Then somehow the travel charge went up and when I advised I was quoted a lower travel charge initially the response I got was "ok we'll lower it to $79 will that make you happy?". That response and misquote I was given should have been my first clue to choose another moving company. We had to push back our move one day and when our movers came the next day they were late and on top of that we only got 3 men not the 5 we got quoted. We moved most of all the big boxes ourselves the day before the movers came, but it still took almost all day for them to move the furniture. Because of this delay we had to cancel dinner plans that we had that same day. Everything was wrapped with ONE flimsy looking blanket. We ended up with 2 pieces of damaged furniture and a banged up wall. Pictures were taken onsite by the movers, but apparently never given to their office since I had to re-take pictures myself and send them to them. Then I had to e-mail and call multiple times over 2 months just to get a response. When I sent back the settlement response on 7/11/14 I was told that payment would be issued that same week. Now every time I call or e-mail to get a response I'm told they are waiting to hear back from another "department". I'm not sure how they are conducting their business, but I really doubt it takes over one month to get approval for a $280.00 payment. I really think our damages are over $280.00 but we agreed on that price because we are really tired of dealing with this company. In hindsight I should have done my research better on this company - the websites that has mostly good reviews on this company is obviously fake (look at the dates and wording of the reviews are all similar). If you want an honest review of this company please go to the BBB website. They have several complaints against them. I never write reviews but because of how dishonest this company is I felt I should warn others.

TERRIBLE!!!! They damaged my bed mattress and headboard. They "got lost twice" and I ended up paying these people $22 per 15 minutes? Going straight to Better Business Bureau to file my complaint. If you get your property damaged, don't waste your time. They will give you the run around.

Brandon was awesome! He worked so hard and was very nice! He was very courteous the entire time and worked as hard as possible to make his boss happy and me happy. He's a great worker and definitely deserves 5 stars.
