Everybody hates the new shopping carts. They are too big. This is not a supermarket it is a grocery store. Some aisle are too small to get carts past each other side by side. Whomever is making the decisions needs to let someone else do it.

One bar of soap for $6.49. Is that before or after the digital coupon and checking yourself out and bagging your own groceries?

Extremely rude workers here. I dread coming to this location. Self checkout attendants are selectively polite to who they choose. Disgusting attitudes and by the looks of the reviews I'm not the only one who has experienced this.

I go to this grocery store every day. I have no complaints about the store aside from desired items having a tendency to be out of stock. However, I have serious issues with the evening meat clerk. A heavy set African American male. He is NEVER behind the counter when I need him. I can not tell you how many times I have waited around for 10+ minutes before having to page him to assist me. He wanders around the store chit chatting with other employees when his literal job description is to be behind the counter to assist customers. The other day, he was hanging out at the customer service counter chatting with the attendant when you could literally see from where he was standing two customers across the store at the meat counter not being assisted. This employee needs to be disciplined and instructed that when you are on the clock, you need to be at the meat counter to help people. Otherwise, you are stealing from the company by getting paid to f*c* around. Oh, and Shantavis is probably your best employee. Her customer service skills are incredible.

I've been going to this location for quite a few years and will continue to do so because of its proximity, decent prices and selection, and relative cleanliness. A couple of recent issues decrease my rating to 2 stars and I would not recommend this location to anyone for any reason other than proximity in Oak Lawn. First, more and more homeless people spend time in the parking lot. One of them used aggressive and racially demeaning language to try to get my SO's attention. Second, a very pleasant man who used to work the self checkout lanes early Saturday morning (when I usually shop) was replaced by a woman who clearly does not want to be there. Her attitude when doing two price overrides for me was incredible.

This is a review for Kroger, not this particular store... I have been shopping with Kroger as a plus customer for years... I recently found out my ex is associated with my account and had been using my fuel points... The rep I spoke with stated she would remove my ex from my account, and refund the fuel points.. I asked if I should close this account and open a new one, but the rep assured me there was no need to do that, she would fix it... A month later I have an account issue because the customer relations credit on my account doesn't work in store for beer/wine like the rep that applied the credit stated it would.. The rep stated there are 2 numbers on my account, and 2 other household members... I realized it my husband's number, but not sure who the other household member is... I explained I don't know what they're doing, but no one should be on my account except me.. To make things more upsetting, Kroger sent coupons addressed to my ex at my NEW address (I was so pissed off)... I guess if you have more than one person in a household with a Kroger account they automatically link them... I mentioned this to the rep and she stated that doesn't happen... I told her something to that effect had to happen cause there's no dang way my ex should be attached to my account, and he dang sure shouldn't be associated with my new address... The rep stated she would fix it and explained the customer relations credit should work for anything except fuel (just as the previous reps stated)... The rep also stated she opened a ticket regarding the issue and stated someone from Kroger would contact me... I have contacted Kroger twice since then regarding this, and a month later I still haven't heard from anyone at Kroger regarding this issue... I have shopped in store and an associate stated there was a customer with the same issue (customer relations credit not working on everything in the store as it should be)... Kroger should just say the customer relations credit doesn't work on everything and fix their system...

TODAY, i paid a visit to the Kroger store, which left me deeply disappointed and traumatized with the level of service provided, specifically regarding the behavior of the store manager, April and Judy. The encounter was characterized by a distinct lack of respect and unhelpful behavior, leaving me feeling undervalued as a customer. Well, according to the manager - she stated "YOU ARE NOT A CUSTOMER" - I was lost of words due to that lack of emotional intelligence yet a manager. What struck me most was the selective and unprofessional conduct displayed by the managers, particularly April. She is dismissive, rude, racist and her approach seemed to lack the essential customer service skills expected in a managerial position. The communication was lacking, and I was left feeling overlooked and disrespected. It was evident that the managers, especially April, may benefit from additional training in customer service, conflict resolution, and de-escalation tactics. The absence of empathetic and emotionally intelligent responses only added to the unsatisfactory experience. I strongly believe that such skills are crucial in any managerial role, particularly in a customer-facing environment. As a consumer, I trust and expect a higher standard of service when patronizing a store. The behavior displayed did not align with these expectations. I feel it's essential for the store to re-evaluate its customer service training, focusing particularly on employees in managerial positions like April. The need for a more customer-centric approach and enhanced training, specifically in handling customer interactions, is evident. This case has been taken up to KROGERS CORPORATE OFFICE.

While the produce isn’t the best and the lighting is quite dim, the people who work here are really friendly and helpful.

Worst experience with a pharmacy! I Just moved back to the area and my doctor of 20 years sent in a prescription refill. The pharmacist told me they would need to speak directly with my doctor before refilling. After they spoke with my doctor, they refused to refill the prescription because "it would not be their 1st choice of medicine". My doctor said this was the 1st time that has happed to her. I have not had issues at any other pharmacy in the DFW area with this medication, and I trust that my doctor of 20 years knows what medication is best for me, rather than a pharmacist that has never met me or knows my medical history.

Ordered a cake online yesterday and paid. Pickup time is between 2:00-2:30 pm I get there...NO CAKE! The person who said he was the manager said sorry, the cake will be ready tomorrow. I called to check on the cake status NO CAKE! They offered me some day to two-day-old cake as a consolation. Never again will I mistake a kroger bakery for the real thing.

If I could give negative stars, I would give -10!! I just moved to the this area from McKinney and the level of service comparatively, is astonishing. People told me that there would be a difference between city life and suburbs but I wasn't expecting that to traverse into the grocery area. RUDE management, uneducated cashier monitors (everything is automated but there is a huge tv screen telling you are being monitored). I asked the mgr in charge what the customer service hours were daily. She replied complaining instead of answering the question..."there's only 3 ladies working right now, blah blah blah". After her rant, I asked again. "What are your Customer Service hours, she replied with 8am - 8pm. (It was 6:45pm and it was closed). In McKinney, if there is a price disparity with what is advertised versus what is charged, the cashier will automatically give you the lowest price. Not at this Kroger!! In addition, customer service hours are by the stroke of luck. Horrible Experience at this Kroger. I imagine that the no competition in the neighborhood gives them the right to treat customers however they want. I will drive out of the area for my next grocery trip!

Today I visited the worst Kroger on the face of the planet I went to the customer service area ( oxymoron) to cash a coin star and the time was 1350 The lady who is always rude was there and said she would be back at 1400 I went back at 1400 There was no sign that it was closed but at 1407 a low mid level management person screamed from the self checkout that it was closed I said the lady said she would be back at 2 she again screamed it is closed I asked why she doesn't put a sign up that it is closed and she did not reply just stood there never putting up a sign or apologizing for it being closed or not putting up a sign Returned several days later again there was no sign it was closed and after about 7 minutes another low mid level management screamed that it was closed Again I walked over to her ( this should be the opposite she should be walking up saying " sir I'm sorry but this is closed right now" And than she should have put up the sign saying closed but just stood there clueless in what customer service is really about Returned another 5 days later and at least there was a sign that it was closed this time I asked the same person who was screaming like a banshee the first time I was there when it would be open and she had no idea Returned about 6 days later and this time there was an individual behind the counter No smile No hello Her only question to me was why did it take so long for me to cash the coin star ticket I told her my "journey " of trying to cash it and she did apologize for it taking so long ( it was about 17 days )

I might as well add another disastrous review, but I know Kroger will do nothing about it. NOTHING. Did you know this is the only Kroger in their entire system which has no checkers? The only one. It's an experiment which has gone terribly wrong. Let's forget about this for a moment. The "Floor Managers" are smug, condescending...and uneducated. They are poorly trained, and do not know how to interact with the vast number of highly agitated customers, and there are many. Every minute of the day. Last Friday I went into the store, and the main "checkout" lines were closed. ALL of them. I asked a manager what was going on and she smirked at me, "We are short-staffed." I said, "you have no one to bag my groceries." She said ..."we are short-staffed." I asked, why can't you bag my groceries? She replied, "It's not my job." I then attempted to call Kroger to lodge a complaint, but here is another example of ineptitude at its finest. Customer service is in a foreign country, and they refuse to give out their location or anyone's phone number or email address. One last thing: There is a girl named Vanessa who is a minority, and pregnant. She doesn't want her job and makes no attempt to hide this fact. She is the rudest of the lot, dismissive, condescending and downright nasty. She needs to be terminated. I am retired. When I look at the way this store is run, it makes me very sad, and extremely angry. How far our country has fallen.
