My husband and I visited the Sunset Valley restaurant in Texas. We were not pleased. The food was OK , no problem there. But the service was not that great. The front counter waited on us right away. I went to go order our food and we were waiting. Nobody was coming up. They had said something. But, still nobody was coming up, finally they got someone to come up and l ordered Caesar salads and they made our salads and it was like we were intruding on their time for them to have to make our salads. So we will not be going back to that restaurant. I was not pleased at the way we were treated . As we were leaving, the workers that i could see were on their phones.

I have been a customer at La Madeleine since 2018. While I enjoy the cuisine, the turn over in staff Susan in particular who doesn't seem to know how to treat each customer the same. Here are 2 examples of her rather patronizing and overboard behavior.1) Shortly after she was hired she did not know how to pay for a customer's order using their gift card.I have reloaded and used my gift card to pay for my orders at La Madeleine's since 2018.Because Susan remembers that a manager had to come and show her how --- she had said to me she was refusing my gift card. This resulted in someone else having to wait on me and complete the transaction accurately.2) Now whenever I come in she screams across the cafe "thanks for coming in." She says this even when I am not leaving but only getting up to go to the restroom. She may just be from an old school of thought about African American women her age or a bit younger. I would not call what she is doing "good customer service." It's as if she trying to let the entire cafe know you are leaving or getting up to go to the rest room.This type of ignorant discriminatory screaming at customers across the cafe needs to stop immediately. The more appropriate way to speak to customers is go up to their table if they appear to finish their meal or are still using WiFi or simply enjoying the cafe atmosphere --- just say was everything alright and if I don't see you when you leave have a good day and see you next time.There is no reason for her spoiling a customer's experience at Madeleine. When I come any other times alone or with friends when she is not working we have a great experience

La Madeleine on Preston /Park in Plano has been going from bad to worse in the last few months. Since the renovationwhich has not really made it ..it looks horrible with this wooden separation on top of the counter hiding the staff and what they are doing. it pretends to be a Fast food restaurant now but unfortunately staff is not qualified for that. they don't even greet people anymore with "bonjour" which seemed to be an improvement to me - being a French restaurant. Now people don't greet you at all, including the manager Tyler yesterday who was hiding in the kitchen and never said hello. I am a regular customer and have been for the past 17 years. In the past 7 years I have picked this location for my French club and my students , french speakers and I meet every thursday night. Before we were welcome and people would do their best , now it's a disaster. Sometimes I have to sit somewhere else because the backroom that is booked for me , has been booked for someone else without any notification. Wine that we order for the group is placed near the stove in the kitchen so it's served 'hot' ...I heard a French group had bought it over, what do they think they're doing . Some managers have been nice like Julia , Jennifer, respectful and polite. Staff like Peggy are very professional but I must admit that this new layout with that wooden barrier which hides the staff and the lack of professionalism of some of them, not greeting customers , the food on lit up panels like in Fast food restaurants and everything I mentioned above is making me want to change location for my club. This is not French anymore...it is a total disaser in terms of setting, decoration, customer service and management . Something needs to be done before people go somewhere else. I am very disappointed.

I’m disappointed in your coconut cake I purchased a whole cake only to see a layer and half layer. It was at your Columbia, Md location. I was told to contact corporate go online. Please fix this cake layer problem you increased the price and cut back on quantity which should be to layers when you make a cake what’s happening!! Sending photos of coconut cake .

Yesterday a friend had a medical emergency while we were at La Madeleine's off Hwy 30 in Rockwall. The crew there is young but they immediately handled the situation. Andres called 911, took all the necessary info, awaited their arrival to direct them to our friend, stayed attentive but not invasively so. Mason kept all the other customers calm, cared for and moving smoothly while Manager Will processed the necessary paperwork for an emergent situation and kept an eye on all the other customer needs. We were all very impressed with the caliber of employees at this location. We appreciate how well they all rose to the occasion to everyone's satisfaction. Thank you from all of us.

Never again will I pay $7 for a single piece of toast with a bit of avocado smeared on it and cut in half. No fruit, no chips, no side. What a deal!

They really need to bring bask the rotisserie chicken for the salad. The Mockingbird location said they get sooooooo many request for it to come back.

today, 5/28/2023 I visited the restaurant located la Madeleine, 5505-A FM 1960, Houston, TX 77069, which i went with a friend. As we were waiting in front of the dessert counter, I noticed a fly inside the case...they fly landed in one of the pastries, so i told the counter lady that there was a fly and that already landed in one of the pastries...she seemed puzzled and couldnt find the fly. She said that they will pull out all the pastries out.. however, 3 minutes at the most an old guy came and ask for chocolate almond croissants...2 of them...guess what the fly landeded in one fo the 2 crossants...so the manager came to grab the pastries and i told her that the fly landed in one of them...she proceeded to grab it with a paper, then grab the other one...and as we move to order our food..i noticed that she put the two pastries in a container and give to the old guy. She knew that the fly touched the pastry and even then she sold it to the guy. Do they pull out all the pastries in the case?? NOOOO>>> Health codes were ignored...health security to the customers disregard but i guess selling the pastries were more important that the two health concerns aboved mentioned. It is a shame, we love the food, but now i can not wonder what is in the kitchen behind close doors...if the incident of the fly was taken so so lightly, and who cares attitude what is happening in the kitchen where no one is watching..???

i went to lunch at your Richardson location on Campbell and coit and had the worst experience i ordered a turkey brisco sandwich tea and a cup of soup i had to send my sandwich back twice all i had was hard bread and a tiny bit of turkey with 1 little piece of bacon and thats it i was charged 14.96 for that mess that was not a sandwich and i feel like i need my money back and on top of that everyone was so rude!!!

It was my first time to go into La Madeleine to try out there food.I went to the location on Cooper st in Arlington, TX.I was not attended correctly , not greeted .The food was not good. The food was cold and they forgot my side order. It was not a pleasant time there. I spent over 50 dollars because it was my kids and I. worst 50 dollars spent.

Well I use to love this place but they have changed the chicken from the warm seasoned shredded chicken to this dreadful cold stripped pieces of chicken ..bummer not the same anymore..

Went to the Perimeter Atlanta Store and it got "ONE STAR"!!ONE STAR only because they wouldn't post the review otherwise!The service was extremely poor and unfriendly. The soups were not hot and the food not properly made, i.e., a Four Cheese grilled cheese sandwich was on toasted bread but not warm and the four cheeses were not melted. The tables were cleared of dishes but not wiped clean. Finally both bathrooms were very dirty to say the least. Certainly not recommended!!
