Good location. Very friendly staff. More than disappointed in the incredibly outdated “college dorm” looking room for the price we paid. There are much nicer options in this area around the same price point and you’ll probably have the bonus of a working tv and working wifi. We will be checking out The Adolphus right next door next time.

Mediocre hotel in a historic building and downtown Dallas. The rooms really leave a bad impression. AC either cools or heats and need to call in an engineer to fix it. Rooms with king really only have a queen bed. The interior is outright depressing and there were odd stains in the bathroom.

Was ok. Room smelled like dog when we first walked in, bad water pressure, and dirty towels. There were also lot of homeless sleeping right next to the side door that you go out of to walk your dog.Food & drinks: Pretty nice coffee place on the main floor.

Good time with the family and location is good but rooms left something to be desired.

The rooms were large and view was nice. They could definitely put some money into updates/renovations to catch up with the times, but it was clean and spacious and quiet. They have a great cafe/coffee spot next door which is convenient. Great place for the location and price!

It's definitely NOT a '4 star' hotel. Looks very tired, no bar or restaurant for starters. Full of AT&T workers who want affordable hotel accommodation.

TLDR: Overall great place to stay for a weekend or one night trip. Situated in an amazing spot in the heart of downtown.Rooms: Ordered a double queen room. AC was great, bed was comfortable, TV was nice. Bathroom was spacious but the drawers in there really needed to be wiped down. Theres no microwave in the basic double queen room, which sucked.Service: Service was good. Didnt really need to interact with anyone.Location: Its in the heart of Dallas. What more can you say?

My son stayed at this hotel between January 31 and 2, 2024. He had several problems. What happened there was scandalous,A/ Twice he was given rooms that were not ready or clean(photos attached). He asked to cancel his reservation and be fully refunded, but they denied him and suggested that he tried with another room to see if it was OK. The 3rd and final room was apparently cleaned and ready, all that just after midnight the 31st. He had just arrived from overseas and was exhausted, so he accepted the room.B/ Despite the prepayment, he was asked to pay a deposit, which they deducted. They claim to have reimbursed on a credit card number that does not belong to him or to me.He called and was told they did refund on a card number which was not the card they got for the deposit, how is that possible? They rudely told him today by phone that, he has to check with his bank where the money went, they can't help.We request a stay refund as well as the refund of the deposit. This is not acceptable.

Rooms are outdated and not well stocked (i.e. there was a Kleenex box cover, but no tissues). They definitely could use some upgrades and TLC. But, the service at the front desk was good and efficient. And great location right by the Discovery District.

This was by far the worst experience I've had traveling for business or any other reason. If you work for a municipality this place does not give you an invoice and makes up an excuse that they cannot give you proof of anything except valet parking that is over priced and charged daily. Rooms are small, hot ( literally set to 80°when no one's in the room) minimal towels and zero customer service. It's located in the middle of everything but not worth the stay in any way. I 100% will suggest saving your money and go to the Aloft hotel.

Idk what the deal is and why they have staff that doesn’t speak a lick of English but it’s really hard to get helped by people you can’t even communicate with. Valet is about as foreign as it gets. And I hate to sound so hateful but like, don’t play with my vehicle because you literally can not speak or understand English. This place and the joule has an issue with that. I appreciate the diversity but I’m not here to deal with that.Nearby activities: Lots of bars near by. And other nice spots.

You stay here for the name recognition. The location is great during the day, highly walkable. But at night it gets questionable really quickly - not the hotels fault but there are a lot of homeless people. Most are fine, however some are abrasive and yell and get in your face.Service - front desk staff were great. Valet was horrendous. Waited over an hour at check out, after receiving a text that it would be 30. Much prefer honesty to dishonesty. Even when I was the only one waiting took 20 minutes. Also it was $42 plus tip per night - horrific service honestly.Hotel itself - You stay for the name not the quality. Bed is uncomfortable and springy, falling apart room. Broken lamps, outlets, toiletry dispensers. Temperature control is incredibly iffy. Gym is in poor condition - equipment broken and missing.I would never recommend it to a person I like- unfortunate

Positives - Great location, great views, dog friendly.Negatives - no bar or kitchen onsite. Water didn't drain properly in the shower. I MISS THE COOKIES AND MILK BAR!
