With new owners, they have professional people, and provide great service.

I paid the bill for my daughter’s lab work back in May. Since then I have received multiple text messages claiming I still owe them. I looked up the invoice and the date of service is the same as the bill I already paid, but a new invoice number was created. I’ve called and left six messages with no return call. I’ve spent literally hours on hold only to be disconnected. I filed a complaint with the BBB and magnolia diagnostics didn’t respond to them either. Now they have claimed the bill has been turned over to collections and they are trying to charge me double what I already paid them. Check your billing statements and do not blindly pay this company when they send you a text message.

Like others here, I got a text message claiming I owed them hundreds of dollars for a service rendered 6 months ago. The bill had no phone number to call. Found them here on Google. They don't answer the phone, and now they say they have passed it along to a collections agency. Bad business.

Be aware that this company charged us a double invoice after our insurance already paid and will not remedy the bill. Their customer service is terrible to work with and very disorganized. If I could give zero stars I would! Don't use this lab. They will hit you with surprise bills and customer service is no help.

Apparently, Avero bought Magnolia recently and did an audit of past billing. They found some mistakes and underbilling for services. Their response appears to be sending those bills to collections. In their place, I would probably have sent a bill in the mail with an explanation. Instead I received a text from a collections agency with no relevant information.
Fine, but I had no idea that there was a bill due and now I am dealing with HRCKollect, a collections agency. And, their billing department is too busy to answer the phone because this happened to a bunch of people. Amateurs.
I guess this explains my 1-star review of a medical diagnostics lab.

If I could give zero star, I would! My son's pediatrician used this lab for RSV testing. It is out of network but I am protected by new surprising bill low which means I don't owe any amount even if my network provider use out of network like this lab since I didn't give any approval. But looks like this lab tries to charge me at more than $150. My co-pay to the provider was $20. Ridiculous!!

They pick up samples so quickly! Excellent turn around time for results and they’re always great with customer service! Highly recommend!

Who do I need to call to thank the woman that helped us tonight!? We realized this evening we didn’t get our son’s Covid test results back and need them to go forward with his surgery in the morning. His ped’s office couldn’t get them after hours, on a whim I emailed magnolia. even though it was well after close an employee called me personally to get us the results after hours before she left for the day. Truly saved us such a hassle and I couldn’t be more grateful!!

I would have rated this lower than 1 if there was an option. This lab has ROBBED me. I am still waiting to receive a refund for $299 that I paid out-of-pocket on April 2, 2020. This was for a COVID-19 test Order #00245 for my infant child. My Cigna paid to Magnolia $46.70. The remaining $252.30 was to NOT to be billed to the me since this was settled with Cigna to be processed as an in-network provider due to the new laws concerning COVID testing during this pandemic. Regardless, this lab owes me the amount in full that I paid up front. They are THIEVES since they were both paid by Cigna and paid by me, and ignore and refuse to rightfully reimburse me. Nobody picks up the phone or responds to email. I have already sent the EOBs multiple times as proof. I would NEVER use this lab again as they stole from me, and will ensure my Pediatrician knows this happened and will stop sending any further patient specimens. God knows as parents of an infant I need that $299 to buy diapers, wipes, food etc in the middle of a pandemic and this lab has stolen from me and my infant. Shame on you Magnolia Diagnostics.Update: in the week after posting this review, I received email correspondence from a Magnolia representative. After sending again the amended EOB from my carrier, I have finally today received reimbursement of my bill and an apology. There is still no excuse for the complete lack of being able to reach any customer service or billing for the last 6 months. Nonetheless, I am grateful for finally receiving the reimbursement and correction of billing, and if anything my experience can help Magnolia identify how to improve their services for other customers.

As a provider, I appreciate how attentive and quick Magnolia Diagnostics is! We use this company for all of our send outs. They are extremely reasonably priced, won't charge our patients without first notifying us of the charges, and report results extremely quickly. Definitely recommend!

This lab gives great turnaround time and service. Awesome. For any reviews that critique the cost; welcome to the USA's healthcare system, unfortunately. Blame the system, not the lab, or physician's office. Laboratories are constantly battling increasing costs, difficult insurance companies and decreasing reimbursement.
