We were pleasantly surprised by this attraction. It takes about 45 minutes to go through the exhibit, but for the cost of $21, that is not bad. We found parking pretty close and it was pretty inexpensive for a two hour pass. The staff is what made me give this place 5 stars, they were so kind and helpful, they also took time to help you understand each attraction and gave you pointers on how to take photos. I definitely recommend this place for a Saturday afternoon outing.

The staff was lovely and helpful. Enjoy your time working through illusions, messy optical illusions and enjoying the unusual. Bridgette gave great instructions and hints on the many puzzles. We were only stumped by one

Small corner spot. My husband walked in and flatly said he has no interest to see the illusion museum for $21/pp. He said it feels very much like those selfie pop-ups and doesn't think it's worth it. You can see the rooms of illusion from the main entry and it looks quite small. Looks quite lame and small for $21, may be worth it for $5-10 at most.My husband said our $42 would be better spent at many other places instead of this place. True.

It’s a cool place for a one-time adult visit, maybe two if the second time is to include the kids, but I don’t know that I’d ever go back otherwise. I literally have no REAL complaints, but it just didn’t feel like a five-star visit. Just your average, run-of-the-mill museum. Me and my honey had a little Delta 9 before going so it made some of the attractions a little more fun, but for the most part it’s literally just a museum with little activities/brain teasers here and there.I did enjoy having staff on the floor to help with taking photos or explain some of the more “complicated” brain teasers, but I feel like that’s pretty standard for any museum to have this.

Having visited the MoI in Mall of America, I had high hopes that my local MoI would be as enchanting and engaging. I was so hopeful, in fact, that I invited friends and family to meet me at the Dallas MoI without having visited it first!I was disappointed, unfortunately, in a few things: it was so crowded, there were a lot of small kids not being supervised (and no employees were enforcing supervision) - and these kids were putting handprints all over mirrors needed to provide illusions, the exhibits were extremely worn, which affected the illusion aspect of them.I have nothing against small kids - in fact - we brought my 2 year old nephew! We kept him from touching mirrors so we didn't reduce the experience for anyone else, but others weren't being as conscious.I know that in its location, the Dallas MoI is probably heavily frequented, however, I'd hope that would be known and acknowledged by the business and encourage them to make efforts to replace/repair and clean the exhibits more frequently to ensure that the customers get the best experience possible each time. I tried to make the best of it, though, so we generally enjoyed ourselves despite the downfalls. Some of the illusions were fun to engage with, others weren't because of any one of the reasons identified previously.I'd 100% revisit the MoI in Mall of America because it was clean, maintained, and engaging. I'll likely visit the Dallas MoI again once more, but if the conditions are the same, I may not visit again.

So my feelings are mixed. I SO appreciate yelpers because I was able to make an informed decision going in. I planned a bunch of things for my family to do while in town. We were waiting on dinner reservations and needed something to do while waiting that wouldn't take over an hour. Had I not known what I knew from reviews perhaps I would have been underwhelmed due to the price. I don't know about $20 admission. Nevertheless, did get some cool pics. If you're the type that likes learning about how things work this museum is really cool. There's reading involved to understand what you're looking at. So if you don't like to read you'll make it through the whole one floor museum in ten minutes. My favorite pic was me in the room looking as though I was walking on the ceiling. We came at 6:30 on a Sunday. There was a good amount of people in there but not packed, nor did we have to wait. We found free parking on the street and walked a block. They closed at 8. They had a few items for purchase ranging from $5 to $$29. Some were some interesting brain teasers. Again, cool place, I just don't know about &20. Family discount would be cool. We had a family of 5 and with tax it was $113.

Nice places to enjoy the amazing illusions which are curated in museum. The recent experience was really good with Halloween theme makes more intriguing. The illusions showcased are really nice but if it can be increased would be great.Curator Genesis and others helped to make the experience memorable with crazy pictures taken within museum giving illusions of falling from big chair, making Michal Jackson move, climbing on wall like spider-man or walking through rotating tunnel.

This is definitely a place for families with children, but single adults can enjoy what the museum has to offer. This was our date day, so babe purchased our tickets for a full day of Illusions. Parking was $13.00, which seemed a little steep if you asked me. Then again, it is downtown Dallas where most things that are MID are overpriced. All in all, the museum was cool. Would I do it again? Nope, but I can say I have experienced it.

A favorite destination! Our family visited as part of our son's 13th birthday trip. We all loved this place! Every feature was exciting, interesting and had us all engaged. Not only mesmerizing but educational as well! So many photo opportunities, too! This museum is a must-see if you're visiting Dallas. Just too cool to pass up. Illusions had us surprised, perplexed and laughing! Amazing time!

Definitely a very cool place to go with your kids. Interesting exhibits and kids as well as adults have a blast. I would have given it five stars, but for the limited amount of exhibits, I believe the price to be a bit high for admission.

The family and I visited this museum just before school started. It is very unique and fun for the whole family. There were puzzles, games and hands on attractions. Even a small gift shop. Being downtown we had to park a couple of blocks away and walk so plan accordingly. My wife had bought our tickets online so there was no wait for us. I did hear other groups being told an hour or more. Fun and interesting place the family will enjoy.

This place wasn't that bad. I thought it was bigger than it was, but it was definitely interesting for at least a one time visit. We went for my birthday and we enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful with showing us where to stand so we could get the best photos. They also offered to take our photo to make sure we all were in the pic to get the best lean lol photo.

Had a great time! It was 107F that day, and me and my buddy were outside walking to this location. We were very hot, but Jake was spectacular! ✨ He offered a bunch of help, and got us water multiple times! He was very respectful and understanding, fantastic guy! The experience was nice, and we got great photos! ?
