This place made me fall in love with Texas barbecue. Delicious brisket and mac and cheese

Pricey, downtown Dallas eating! Paid to park and had to walk a bit to get to this restaurant at 3pm on a Friday. Restaurant was not busy, so once we ordered at the food bar, the food was ready fairly quickly. Alcoholic beverages (wine & beer) served at a separate bar within the restaurant. You pretty much wait on yourself here, receive a number for food pick up when ready. Ordered the 'Hot Mess' which is a sweet potato stuffed with brisket & barbacoa and drizzled with sauces ($14.00) and hubs had BBQ combo of ribs & brisket ($21.00). All tasted great, even though pricey---I know ALL bbq establishments are pricey these days. Wine was $10/glass.

The food here was immaculate! I’m from the Midwest, and we just don’t have BBQ like this. Complete game-changer! The brisket and pulled pork were indescribably-good, CRIMINALLY-good!

I don’t know what you are doing, don’t care…stop whatever it is and drive to Dallas. GO EAT AT THE PECAN LODGE! NOW! I’ve eaten at hundreds of BBQ places. And a couple dozen in the DFW area. This is in the Top 3.

We had our eclipse party catered by Pecan Lodge. They were amazing! They provided absolutely everything to allow me to plan and execute a completely stress-free event for 50 people. Consummate professionals through the entire process. The food was amazing, of course, but delivery and pickup right on schedule. If you are planning an event, do yourself a huge favor and have Pecan Lodge make it truly unforgettable!

Trued to visit twice during our stay. The first time there was over an hour waiting time, fair enough it must be good. The 2nd time there was no queue and it was empty but they had sold out of everything we wanted to try.I hope we come back to Dallas sometime and get the chance to try again.

Everything is delicious, but the Fried Rib is a whole new experience

Everything cooked with pecan wood, the brisket had a beautiful smoke line, the pickles and onions are great! Coming back to this place soon.

Great Texas BBQ experience. Similar to the experience you'd receive at Terry Black's, but a bit more local

Best BBQ joint in town by far. Brisket was amazing, but don't miss out on the chocolate cookie ??

We expected the 70 min wait to get our food as it was a Sunday afternoon and the line was out the door. The experience was pretty cool cause it's so popular.BUT they were sold out of almost everything and when we did it out bbq it cold & the brisket was so fatty it was edible at several spots. The coleslaw was bitter and little flavor. Only 2 types of sauce and it's needed for the turkey which was rubbery. We had to share a picnic table outside with strangers.Overall I just think it very hyped and they've lost their focus on the food and more commercialized.

OMG. The "Hot Mess" is phenomenal! Reviews say the wait is long, but in reality, it was LONG! The timing works, though, because there were several tables open right away after we put in our order and the food was up within 5 minutes. As stated earlier, the Hot Mess was absolutely delish!Worth the wait, seriously.

Elite. Barebones bbq meat, beer and live music - what else could you ask for?! Had a great time listening to live music and had the brisket and pulled pork plate. Would go back.

Oh my goodness, a must visit restaurant. You must try all the meats, especially the pork ribs which just fall off the bone.
