The service is always great, the building is clean and they always get me in and out! However, this experience as far as my car goes has not been so good. As a woman, navigating these types of environments is always rough because we get taken advantage of. I was recommended the most expensive services, of course! I just paid $700+ 2 weeks ago to have a CV axle replaced and this was a “deal.” Okay, no problem. Meanwhile, I need a new battery and new tires, which was not spoken of once and was not listed on the “complimentary vehicle inspection” as a recommended service AT ALL. So here we are, over $1000 in repairs later and the problem is still unresolved. I am beyond frustrated and will take my business elsewhere.

Checked in and was told I was the next in line. One car in front of me is what they said. Only here to have one tire replaced. Over 2 hours later I'm not even on my way. If they'd just be honest and tell you it's going to be over 2 hours I would have made other arrangements. UPDATE!!! Over 3 weeks has been passed. Was promised someone who can contact me with a resolution to my review. Nothing has been done. So don't bother posting a bad review. They will not contact you. Their customer service cares less than the actual attendance at the station

This is the second time I’ve had an unnecessarily long wait at this pep boys. I went to get a patch on my tire and first they said 15 minutes, then 30. We left an hour and a half later. I only received an update when I went to the front to ask. I watched 3 people come in and leave before me when all I needed was a patch. As I was leaving, I saw three men goofing around in the bay with a car waiting to be serviced. I will not be wasting my time here again. Two stars only because the waiting room didn’t reek and the bathrooms were mostly clean.

I don’t even want to give a one star but it’s the only way I can write a review. First off, I had to show the guy how to turn my 2019 car off.. mind boggling
second.. I waited over two hours for a brake inspection that they said would be done with in 30 mins. Third .. they then told me my front , rear n rotors needed replaced and they would call in like ten minutes with price. They never called with price and it turns out it was just front pads ( as shown in my car display ) that needed replaced. I would not trust this pep boys location.

Never be too specific on what you think needs to be done with your car here. Told them the headlight was out and I thought that the bulb needed to be replaced. They replaced the bulb and I could see light coming out so I assumed it was working. First time I drove in the dark you would have thought they did nothing. Went back into the store to ask what we could do since the light clearly wasn’t fixed. Then I was told “you asked us to replace the bulb that’s what we did”. Probably one of the laziest responses I’ve ever heard. Take some pride in your work and business so that the customer doesn’t have to come back because “that’s what you asked us to do”. Funniest part is they were trying to pitch $1000 repair on a totally separate part of the car instead of actually fixing what needed to be fixed.

My wife took her car in for an oil change, and after they told her the car needed the valve cover gasket replaced and gave her an estimate of $1600. My wife asked if they could do the work and they said yes. My wife came home and let me know what was going on and I checked her extended warranty which to my surprise covered this issue. We called and asked if Pepboys could take care of the gasket and if they worked with the warranty company which they said yes to. We dropped off my wife’s vehicle the night before so they could start work at 8am when they got in. The next day my wife called them at 9am because they never called like they said they would, Pepboys then said yes we are working on it but we do need to make sure we can get parts and we will call the warranty people and they let her know they would call back with an update. Fast forward to 1pm when my wife calls back since we have not heard anything and they said, “oh yeah, we can’t work on your vehicle because we don’t have the “tools” do work on it.” When my wife asked why did they tell us the day before that they could work on it, they said “well we just diagnosed the issue”. But that is not true when we dropped off the vehicle we were assured they could have the vehicle done the next day. Now they tell us to take it to the dealer. Seems kind of odd that the day before when my wife was there alone and there was no warranty on the table they could do it for $1600, then they back out when they find they don’t have the “tools”. They didn’t think to call us to let us know they can’t work on her vehicle? Instead we go a whole day without the vehicle when we could have taken it to the dealer right after they found this out. Thank you for wasting our day.
PS - we checked you only need a few basic tools that any mechanic should have to do this job, so I guess y’all were trying to make some money off a woman who was alone trying to get an oil change? Seems kind of weird how fast things change and the lack of communication.

I made an online appointment for a tire rotation at $9.99, but like most shops they found other repairs that needed tending to. So, out the door after a tire rotation and a new serpentine belt and tensioner, I paid over $300. However, it had not had a new serpentine belt in over 90K miles, so I'm sure it was time. The service rep was knowledgeable and explained the situation to me, so I felt like it was warranted.
I've used Pep Boys many times before and I feel like they're one of the more reputable shops, so I will continue taking my vehicles there for service. The most recent service was on my 2002 GMC Sierra 1500, but they've serviced my 2016 Kia Forte5, too.

Very rude. I call get put on hold until I drive to the store. Hang up walk in, it’s a customer. I wait, get to the front phone rings this man answers it and has a conversation in my face. Wow, he tells me the price for oil changed I leave. I will spend my money with who shows me respect.

Brought my car here to replace the water pipe that was leaking. They charged me $500 to replace it and never even checked to make sure the problem was resolved but told me it was when it clearly isn’t as it’s leaking from the same spot. They stole my money and never even completed the work properly and I was there for 6+ hours. I wouldn’t be surprised if they stole my brand new oem part and put some trash aftermarket part on my car or the same exact part they took off and they stole my brand new bottle of antifreeze and tried to tell me it took the whole gallon jug to fill it. I’m no expert but when I know it absolutely does not take that much to fill it.

I scheduled an appointment for Wednesday evening, but upon my arrival, I was informed by the front desk that I would need to return another day due to a staffing shortage. It’s frustrating to make an appointment only to be asked to reschedule, especially since I left work early to accommodate this.

I had an appointment at 10:am to oil change. 2 hours waiting and I had to leave without the work done in my car.
Why to make appointments online and you do not have the time to do the work?. So unprofessional. They made me waste two hours of my precious time. Never will come back again to that location. 😡
