Dont come here even if u make an appointment you will be waiting for hours. My appointment was at 1pm been looking at my car sit for a hour and 30 mins they even took people who came after me first terrible service no customer service skills at all eat first you will be hangry!

Took 4 hours to have oil change maybe 1 or 2 hrs. Would be fine . 3 hours in i get the text that car is ready, service advisor walks by and states not ready we don't have the oil filter. 1 hr later I get car.

3/14/26 Wish there was a way to give 0 stars. We were heading out of town and needed a quick plug for a tire, went in and asked the front girl if they had someone available right then and there as we only had an hour. She assured me yes and that it would be 45 mins. We ubered to grab food real quick, when we walked back in 45 mins later .. when we asked how much longer she said it would be 45 more minutes with a blank stare, we said that it half already been 45 mins and she just casually said the person went to lunch. Should have gone to discount tire instead and will do so from now on. Horrible customer service

Pep Boys responded to my review and stated someone would reach out to me. That is total BS. I have called, left messages, and nothing has been done. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, my bank and with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I will take to court if necessary.

I requested an oil change, transmission fluid exchange and ABS sensor.
I was told to come back the following weekend for the ABS sensor and transmission service because this mechanic was on vacation. Hence, I only received the oil change. I never recived any update nor asked to approve any other service(s).
To my SURPRISE, I was told my bill was $222. I asked for what????? A TPMS sensor (that I never requested nor approved). I stood at the bay door the entire time. The ONLY service that was performed was an oil change. I have since filed a complaint with Pep Boys head office and a dispute with my bank. I was forced to pay the bill in order to get my car.
Last time I go to Pep Boys.

This was the worst experience I’ve had at a Pep Boys. I went in for an alignment and to have my brakes checked because I was hearing a rubbing noise while driving. After the alignment, they told me my truck was ready. When I asked if they had checked the brakes, Biju told me to ask the technician. The technician claimed he didn’t hear anything.
As soon as I drove off, I heard the noise again and immediately returned. I explained the issue to Biju and had the technician take a ride with me. The noise was clearly audible, but he kept saying he didn’t know what it was and that he hadn’t worked on my truck. I told him we could go back to the shop, take the tire off, and fix the problem, but he refused, saying there was nothing he could do.
This level of service is completely unacceptable.

I had a family member visit this location a little while back for mechanical car repair. The technician made some suggestions for what parts are in need of replacement and my family agreed to certain parts to be replaced.
Upon checkout my family member noticed and additional part that was installed without consent and demanded to have original part installed or price waved for installation of part that was not authorized.
The mechanic threatened to have a mechanics lean placed on the car if the part in question is not paid for. My family member demanded to speak to a supervisor and mechanic refused. My family member paid reluctantly fearing impact of the car being held would cause for work.
After exhausting all local efforts we are needing corporate intervention before seeking legal counsel for possible action in court.

I always had high expectations of this place but not until yesterday Sunday 12/15 2024 I took my truck to have my oil changed it turns out that the very professionals broke the plug where the burnt oil comes out and the only help or resolution they told me was that they are not to blame if I took my truck without any damage today it leaks oil they did not perform the oil change and the cost for said repair is over $ 600 all because of inexperienced mechanics who pretend to be professionals and are not in fact I am seeking legal help because this cannot continue to arise with this type of business and not because of the amount I have to pay but because of the following clients who trust these people when they are irresponsible

Do not take you car here. Neither they have skillful mechanics nor they give you right service. They did my engine diagnostics and quote me for an alternator which I replace a month ago. Scammers. Worst Service.

Ordered tires online for my father in law which were on a promotion. Scheduled to have them installed here. Showed up for the appointment only to be told they don’t have the tires. Waited for about another week went back and they told me they didn’t have the tires nor did they know when they were going to receive them. Called customer support and was told that it shows on their system that the store received the tires. They called the store for me to make sure and while I was on hold just hung up on me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO BUY TIRES HERE. You’re better off buying them through Walmart or Discount Tire as I’ve never had any issues with them.

Horrible service! We had our tires shipped to this location went Sunday they had a hard finding the tires decided to just reschedule appointment after trying to figure everything out for 45 minutes, even though we called and verified everything was good to go before arriving. Come Friday it took them almost 4 hours to change 4 tires. Customer service is a zero!

I wanted to get an oil change at the Pep Boys 2992 Forest Ln location in Dallas. Firstly I was misguided and secondly overcharged for a simple oil change. Third issue, I got a recommendation to change all my tires (wear and tear) and was given a quote, but I was charged for tire rotation without my consent. The rep was very cold and insensitive, and of course very unhelpful. Checkout was extremely confusing and took forever! NOT RECOMMENDED!

Bought new battery from this store and asked them to install it. Price with installation was supposed to be $285. By the time I left the counter person had jacked the price up to $350. She added in cable clamps at $17 each plus installing them each. She also added a couple of warranties which I didn't need since we are selling the car soon. I've read other reviews which indicate this pumping up the cost of repairs once you're committed at this store. I'll never go their again!

I was driving alone and caught a flat 1 hour away from home. It was 6:45 pm, the nearest open tire shop was Pep Boys, 8 min away. Thankfully they closed at 8 pm. I walked in to an empty store (one other patron) and wasn’t greeted. The attendant at the desk was Buji. He didn’t acknowledge me at all, just stood and typed at a computer. About 5 mins passed, I asked if I could get assistance with my tire. He responded, “not tonight, tomorrow”. I told him my tire was completely flat, if someone could at least help me put on the spare. He still said no, his technician had to finish working on something else. I couldn’t believe how rude he was for first not acknowledging me and second refusing to help me. I arrived an hour before closing. I walked back to my car and David the other technician kindly helped me, it only took him 7 minutes to place my spare. I’m so thankful for kind people in the world. However, I will never give Pep Boys my business from this experience. As a young lady, I was scared and helpless and unfortunately denied service.

I'm still experiencing the same issues w/my Van. Granted this is the 3rd. time that, PepBoys charges me for Engine diagnosis over a 100 dollars each time. And can't find or pinpoint what the problem is w/the van.
