Overall the service has generally been good. The issue for the low rating is how they gouge you by increasing the price of your unit every few months. It it was the rate of inflation, I probably wouldn't both to complain. I think my unit has almost double in less than 2 years. Apparently it is a common practice for Public Storage. Avoid this company like the plague. I plan to move out as soon as I can. They take advantage of you because the assume you'll never go to the hassle of moving out. It is the frog in hot water scenario. Gradually raise the temp and you can boil the frog before they jump out. If you saw the actually rate you'd be charged about a year from now, you'd never rent from them! They lure you in with a competitive rate and then squeeze every dollar they can from you. Learn from my mistake.

Do not recommend this location they break your locks and enter your units steal all your property and say that they don’t know what happened I have a sister that is renting a unit here at this location had her locks taken off twice and both times items were missing from her unit

Ditto to ALL the one star reviews (that are really zero stars.) Public Storage has gone to no available humans at any time to assist you, instead you talk to a call center thru a kiosk in the "office." I too have an issue where my lock has been replaced and I cannot get anyone to respond to my request for assistance. I have the same problem at two locations in Dallas. Not helpful, but you seem happy to keep taking my money! As soon as I can access my units, I will be moving out and will never return to ANY Public Storage.

Had a pretty bad experience renting a storage unit here, It started when I left for a month on vacation. When I came back I noticed that there was a break in at my storage unit, nobody from storage management contacted me to let me know. When I came back there was a note from police saying that my stuff was stolen I contacted storage insurance that public storage provides. After not being able to obtain a police repost they refused to cover my equipment that was stolen.

This location has no security. The gate is open at all hours. Many units were broken into, mine being one of them, and I was never notified. I can't get into my unit because they put a combination lock on it. I can't get a hold of anyone that works for Public Storage (actual human beings that is). This is beyond unacceptable. I have paid over $10,000 in storage fees to them and this is the level of security I get? Not what I signed up for.

Do not rent from Public Storage. Your things are not safe. Thanks to two reviews on Yelp, I just discovered one of my two units at this location was broken into. I went to put some Christmas stuff in storage and couldn't get into one of my units. There was a green lock on it, not mine. This, along with the fact that it was almost 9 pm and the gate was wide open and I was the only one there, was worrisome. When I left, the gate was still open, and there looked to be someone in the manager's apartment. I say manager, but, as I have since been informed by the property manager, the manager no longer lives on site. This is contrary to the information contained in Public Storages own website and what I was told when I rented the units. I think they should inform renters when they make a change like this that concerns the security of the location. No cameras that work, a gate that doesn't close, and some rando living on site is not what I signed up for or was promised. This is gross negligence on the part of Public Storage. The break-in was FOUR months ago, and I received not one call, email, letter, or text. And they kept on raising the rent. I am sure the insurance they make you buy and they make money from will not want to pay a dime without substantial headache. And, without the lock that was cut from my unit, they will probably deny it was breaking and entering (the only way they will pay from what I understand). This is the second time something like this has happened to me with Public Storage. The first was actually my deceased mother's unit at another location, and it was an inside job without a doubt. I can't wait to see the police report on Monday.

Do not rent from this property! Was never notified of the break-in others are mentioning. I was lucky and ran into someone who told me why my door handle was horribly bent and everyone has green tags on their units. signaling their units had been hit. I was told it was an oversight I wasn't contacted - ugh!

It's just really frustrating to not be able to talk to a live person. No more front desk person or manager available. You're automatically charged for a new lock ($20) when signing up, but can't easily talk to anyone to get the lock refund if you have your own lock. All the phone numbers for the location go to the same general national phone number recording. The agent on chat gave me an "unlisted location number" ha ha also went back to the national automated number. Can't find how to actually get a refund.Update: finally talked to a human after going into the "office" only to find just a kiosk, but called the phone number on the front door. It is for a call center where I had the option of talking to the manager lol, after waiting it was really a cust. svc. agent and I was told that they are now mostly all self-serve only locations (my location), and a few retail locations. I was given the address of the closest retail location which is several miles away. The person who was working that location, Wendy, was extremely helpful & quickly refunded my money. It would've been really great to know this info. I have seen so many people standing around on their phone in front of the office trying to get help.

This review isn't about the employees whatsoever! This is about public storage facilities... it's ridiculous you can't even find a location with a live person. I have been on hold with customer service just to see where's nearest location at with a live person to purchase moving items! I was transferred 3xs just to get help... I hung up and will just be going elsewhere.
