Do NOT give these people any business, even for just an inspection. Do yourself a huge favor and go to the speedee across the street, they're much nicer. The guys here are completely incapable of doing their jobs without whining and swearing at you the entire time. Is it really that much of an inconvenience to do a <10 minute inspection in the middle of the day when the place is literally empty? Literally the grumpiest bunch of guys I've come across in a while. Stop acting like a bunch of babies and do your job, or just go home and keep it to yourself. Good Lord.

This business is in a great location and that's the only positive thing I can say about it. I saw a review from 3 years ago that said they are "alway rude" and treat it like an inconvenience if you ask for any type of service and I couldn't agree more. The gas and service is greatly overpriced. The lady who works there, Sandra, seems miserable and is always testy and rude. The bottom line is I will drive out of my way to avoid this business.

I have tried to come to the automotaive place twice. Both times the guy acted like I was the biggest inconvenience he could encounter. The first time I needed an oil change and he yelled at me because I asked where I could leave my car (the parking spots on the side were full). I went back recently because I need to get my inspection done and he once again acted like I was an inconvenience so I left. Would not recommend!

I've read the other reviews but they don't reflect the REAL business. Marino Shell is a gem. Yes, the gas is higher because they have very expensive real estate and they offer three full-time mechanics on site who can do just about anything. Yes, those guys -- who have all been there for 20+ years -- can be grumpy but they have hearts of gold. When my car wouldn't start and I had an emergency, they dropped everything and came and fixed my car in my driveway. If you need your butt kissed while you're getting gas then go somewhere else. If you need someone who understands cars and how they work and can fix almost any problem, go to Marino. I think these guys are terrific!

Worst experience I’ve ever had. As mentioned in previous reviews, the employees appear uninterested and inconvenienced by a simple oil change. They would rather have a smoke break than take care of their customers. In fact, they are rude about even asking for an oil change. I would highly recommend avoiding this location.

I have never seen worse customer service. I've been there twice. And both times I have gotten "what do you want" type of service. Had them literally shaking their heads when I asked for an inspection. If the place is unhappy about giving car inspections, don't offer the service. I saw them give the same level of service to two other clients as well.

Have been here a few times, nothing more than routine oil changes and state inspections. More times than not, mechanics seem rather inconvenienced. All I would ask for is an oil change/inspection and the immediate response would be a snide comment and even profanity. On the plus side, they get the job done as advertised without much delay. It just simply isn't worth the poor customer service. I'll be going to the SpeeDee across the street from now on when possible.Service: Oil change

Always rude. Always act like it's an inconvenience when I ask to have my car serviced in any way.

Awful. I asked them to check out my tire and they "didn't find anything wrong" and I ended up with a flat hours later.

Rude station attendant. Credit card would not work at the pump. Defaulted back to cash, pump and pay inside. Pump still would not deliver gas. Station attendant came out and accused me of stealing gas, without even looking at the pump. I told him I hadn't pumped anything yet. He left, then came back and told me he was taking my license plate #. Said, "it say you pumped $54.35 on my machine inside". I repetitively told him that I hadn't pumped any gas. He told me to go get gas somewhere else. I followed him into the station and while he was helping other customers, told him to come check my gas gauge as it was still on EMPTY. He repetitively told me, pointing at his pump screen that I had pumped $54 in gas. Would not come out to verify facts, that I had in fact NOT pumped gas. I left, drove 1.5 miles to Tom Thumb at Lovers & Greenville, and filled up my tank. SHELL just lost a sale and a customer for life. Yet another reason to #BOYCOTT SHELL.

Marino Thomas Automotive Shell station on Lovers and Snider Plaza! I've assumed I have been paying the extra dollar per gallon for a certain level of service and convenience. Today, I went to fill my tank and have my tire pressure checked - i have done this almost every time I go there for years. However, when I asked to have my tires checked, the serviceman told me "you are in the self serve isle, we don't do that for those people"! (It's never been an issue as long as I've been going there!) When I asked for clarification, he told me to "shut up" and let him work with the real customers. And the woman he was talking to started to yell at me as well. My son (11yo) even asked me what we did wrong that he was so mean to us
