I've banked with a few credit unions over the past 20 years, and hands down, Southwest Financial is the best. I have several products with them and have always been happy with the level of service I receive. My 17-year-old daughter also has a youth savings and checking account and loves learning how to manage her own money. One super unique thing they do is something called Mighty Maxx. It's basically a bonus deposit they give us right around the holidays for all the services we have with them. Even my daughter got a deposit of $60! I've never seen anything like that anywhere else. It comes in pretty handy when you need a few extra dollars for Christmas shopping! Thank you, Southwest Financial! Keep doing what you're doing! You've got our family's loyalty!!

This is the worst bank I have ever had to deal with. Everytime I have to call and talk to someone, they never know anything and are always transfering me to someone else who cannot help me either. One time I was interested in purchasing a house and wanted to talk to the bank about my options. They sent me to a third party and could not help me with anything. Another time, I called to tell them to stop sending me solicitations in the mail. I explained to them that I had a very serious issue with someone in the neighborhood stealing mail and I did not want them to know where I banked. Mutiple times I was told that I was taken off a list and assured that I would not receive any more solicitations. I just gave up because to this day I still get mail from the bank with my name, address, and BIRTHDATE listed in these solicitations! It is infuriating when you try to keep your information private and your own bank is the one giving it out. I will be changing banks very soon.

Very slow service. You’ll be dead waiting on that new debit card. Had two needed to be replaced and both times waited after the 10th business day. Yes after 10 BUSINESS days!

I am not happy got charged $6 for using Sister Branch. There are no locations in Houston, Texas. Next, my card is inactive until my truck and car note is not delinquent. I am half note behind truck and 1 whole note on car. I just recently got car out shop that cause note to be delinquent. SWFFCU has taken my money out my account not knowing it was my last until next pay period after starting new job. I got laid off from Kroger 4 years ago, and I have been fighting to keep my vehicles. Thank God I have 1 year and 8 months left almost on both vehicles. I am fed up with SWFFCU who I thought valued me and my hard earned money. I will close all accounts after vehicles are paid off. I understand that Panademic has changed business practices but loyalty does not exist anymore at SWFFCU because same Reps who process loan paperwork on vehicles send you unprofessional emails with no closures. In addition, I have purchased 4 vehicles through SWFFCU, paid off personal loan, and holiday loan while being member since 2008.

My bank card expires July of 22. I have called 3 times requesting for them to send a new card (all in june) because the strip is no longer working and the chip malfunctions all the time. They refuse to send me a new card without paying $10. Mind you, my card expires in July! I guess they plan on waiting until my card expires and I have no access to my account before they will do anything. There are absolutely no locations in Houston by the way. My bank of America account sent me a card 3 months before expiration... I guess it's time to fully close my account

My mom and I have been with them for over 15 years and we are very happy to be a member. We both have our car loans, my mom has a credit card, and I have signature loan with them. They have been professional from the very beginning. Shout out to Michelle Paz! She is so sweet and professional at the same time, I love her! She has been the main one who works with me on certain loans. Give that woman a raise!

I have been a loyal customer of Southwest Financial Federal Credit Union for many years, and even agreed to let them refinance a brand new vehicle i purchased in July 2021. That turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life. My 1st payment wasn't due until November and my refinance was completed Sept 30th. Unbeknownst to me, SWFCU claimed to not have my insurance information and on December 7th they force-placed an insurance policy for $5130, and increased my car payment from $586 to $1012! And I never received a call or letter warning me this was gonna happen, and found out Jan 19th that 2 letters that were sent to my address to advise me they needed proof of insurance were conveniently returned back to bank, as though my address was wrong! So I have been paying my legally, contracted car payment of $586 and I have a past due balance of over $800 and I believe they have reported me late on my credit. A manager in their collections department, Tawanna Haskell was rude and short with me and after providing the PROOF that I have always had insurance, I'm being told it can take 30 days for this credit union to remove the force-placed insurance and readjust my payments back to the correct amount. And to top all this, the collection dept illegally and without mu permission or knowledge, went into my checking account and moved $421 to try and cover part of the unpaid car payment, thus causing my RENT payment to return, and I was charged $157 in late fees. SWFCU has done nothing to rectify this issue and would still have me pay the extra car payment amount even though I don't owe it because I NEVER had a lapse in my insurance! I will never trust this credit union again and as soon as I can I will be moving all my accounts to another bank. I feel robbed and severely mistreated by this back and would NEVER recommend anyone to become a member
