Only caters to mid market businesses. If you are under $20m revenue or 100 employees you won’t get an account here. The manager I met with, Jeremy Weidler, was very curt about that. Basically caters only to mid-market businesses, not retail.From this one interaction I got a poor first impression. No comment on the retail or other aspects of the bank.

I have held certificates of deposits with many banks over the years. The application and online account processes for Texas Capital Bank/Bank Direct are by far the most burdensome and time-consuming of any bank I have dealt with. Not worth the slight interest rate advantage. I understand that security is important, but this is ridiculous. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and bank elsewhere.
