Great coffee! Yes, it is located inside The Alcove which is a bar. Alcove coffee is available until the bar opens at 3 pm. Inside seating. Dog friendly outdoor seating. Give it a try... You'll love it.Vegetarian options: Non-dairy milk selections available.

I'm not sure what his name is but I was trying to study sunday night with two friends it was about 10pm and the worker basically said he was closing because there was "no more bread" being spent there.

The Cheers environment that will always welcome you. Service is top notch, personable, with the bonus of humourous. Plus, the pizza is probably the best in uptown.

I loved State Street Coffee, and I was so excited to go back on my recent trip to Dallas. What happened? It’s not the same name, and the coffee is terrible. Can State Street Coffee come back please?? We miss you.

I am SO confused. What happened to State Street Coffee? I visited Dallas last year, and I was so happy to stumble upon the cutest gem while walking around the neighborhood. When I came back to Dallas this past week, I realized the name changed? And the coffee was crap. Come back State Street!!

Outstanding atmosphere, lot of locals and interaction. If new to area or bar don't be shy, we all look after each other. Initially we stood back and then met people who introduced us to others and now great friendships. Chris, Jason and Katlyn will ensure You are served and welcomed.

The Alcove hosted a private birthday party event for us, and we could not have been happier with the outcome! Everyone had a tremendously good time surrounded by amazing people!. The alcove is one of our favorite spots for sure!!!! Excellent wine & beer selection with delicious food!!!

Really a tough look calling yourself a wine bar with "small-production wines" and have a menu full of rotting garbage like Silver Oak, The Prisoner, Orin Swift Wines, Meiomi... This is a wine bar for people who don't like wine.

A friend and I came on a Sunday afternoon to drink coffee and talk. Once 3pm came up, the bartender put on the Rangers game at a noise level that interrupted our conversation. When we asked if the game could be turned down to a level that would allow for us to continue our conversation, the bartender ignored the request, and put on Pearl Jam at a noise level that made working or talking impossible, forcing us out. If you like heavy rock and stonewalling staff with your coffee and wine bar, Alcove is the place for you. If you want a comfortable place to drink and talk with friends, Alcove may not be your vibe

They opened a new rip off of the old coffee shop that used to reside here. I went in despite the reviews warning me otherwise. Unfortunately, the coffee is sub-par and the service in the morning is just as bad and inconsistent as it is in the evening. High prices for coffee I could make in my Keurig.
