I would give less than one, if able. I wanted to ensure anyone wanting to book with The Beeman was warned about their customer care and how they treat their potential customers. My mother called, placed a reservation, and then needed to cancel within thirty minutes. They nicely canceled her reservation but refused to return her fee—$1000. I know for a fact that she explained she was coming to town to assist her ailing stepmother (basically her mother), and that she’s personally battling cancer, so this trip was already highly stressful for her. However, The Beeman did go above and beyond in this case: to make it a nightmare. They asked her to provide PROOF of both her and her mother’s ailments before they would refund her. Not only is that a massive violation of privacy, but it’s also an extremely inappropriate request. With my mother not receiving ANY help, I went to FB messenger and sent them a message. My mother got a call the next day from the GM (Corey Stewart), who then set her mind at ease, telling her she’d get a refund. However, my mom got another email from a CSR that night asking for more PROOF of her medical condition. I reached back out, assuming that it had been taken care of, but nope. We were misled, because telling a customer that they won’t be getting a refund is an uncomfortable conversation, and the GM would rather tell her she’s getting it and let someone else be the bad guy. As someone who has worked in CC most of her life, it’s an unacceptable practice. You never lie to a customer! So, I sent ANOTHER message to The Beeman’s team and told them that she needed a one-time courtesy refund, and they needed to make that happen at this point. My mom gets an email that says they’ve agreed! Yay! EXCEPT, she just got another email saying that they’ve changed their mind, “disregard the last email,” and if she provides PROOF, they’ll reconsider. If you’re thinking of staying here, and you hope to get help, service, or respect when it’s needed, you might want to look elsewhere. My mom has been going through all sorts of testing this past week, and during that, all we’ve been doing is trying to get $1000 back from a stingy, lying, company. I don’t often write reviews, but The Beeman deserves every word of this bad one—which I told them was coming. At least one of us follows through on promises.

Nice boutique hotel, a few dislikes were.....the amount of noise from the hallway late at night and early morning. Our room was right next to the elevator, so that was probably why. Also, housekeeping knocking on the door at 9 am, that woke up me and my family, which was unexpected. Checkout is at 11, and they don't offer a late checkout. The door to the bathroom does not close all the way. You can see inside the bathroom with the little latch engaged. Other than those few things, the hotel itself is lovely. Smells great and is super aesthetic. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Indoor pool and daypass to Lifetime fitness next door. There is also a gym on the property. Nice bar and café area. Will probably stay again since it the location was ideal for our trip.

A fantastic place really close to Mockingbird Station and SMU. Really enjoyed their free perks of staying there, such as the free Life Time fitness day-pass and local distillery discounts! The room was also quiet and I was really pleased with the water pressure in the shower!

Update: Valet drivers need to be educated on what the diagonal and crosshatched lines mean beside handicapped parking spots! That is a total blatant disrespect of the handicapped, as well as a serious A.D.A. violation. Yes I do see in the pictures that the lines are faded in one spot but they are still there, if it is to be made into a regular parking spot between two handicap parking spots there should be no visible white lines whatsoever. And if I'm not mistaken, there has to be a crosshatch marked area between two handicaps spots by law. Also when confronted about the situation, one of the valet drivers was very receptive, the other one being flat-out rude, insensitive, and uncaring. I don't know their names, but the one that is very hard to understand was the very unreceptive and rude one. This is where the 1 star rating for service comes into play. I have a handicapped family member who is with me now. They have a hard enough time as it is without things like this happening! NOW AFTER CONFRONTING THEM I FEEL FOR THE SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE AS WELL AS MYSELF, BECAUSE NOW EVERY TIME I SEE ONE OF THE VALET DRIVERS I GET GLARED AT, AND ONE IS ALWAYS AROUND MY VEHICLE! RETALIATION IS A BIG NO NO, ESPECIALLY ON THIS SITUATION.The Beeman Hotel.Pretty nice smaller hotel, with decent self parking, the valet driver needs a little education on handicapped parking spots, nice indoor heated pool, in house restaurant/bar.Only 9 floors, with 200 something rooms total. Animal friendly.Nearby activities: Lots of nearby shopping.

All was excellent, the staff, food, ambiance, and the location. Jacklyn at the front desk, I adore her she is the best. Evelina in the restaurant was awsome as well and let's not forget the general manager has nice and welcoming too. I would tell all to check out this beautiful and modern upscale hotel it has all you need. A heated swimming pool, weight room, business center, restaurant and it has nice music to listen to in the lobby. FREE parking and valet as well. This hotel is surrounded by beauty, resturants and other things to do such as shopping etc. Please check it out for yourself. PS Tell them that you heard it from Alicia.Rooms: Very nice rooms, wll equipped especially the suites.Nearby activities: Plenty of restaurants, North Park Mall, and Movie Theaters as well as Deep Elm

**MIXED BAG**My husband and I chose this hotel for a staycation to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary.Location: utterly amazing. Wonderful eateries located <10 minutes away. You have to try 360 brunch house or Desperados Mexican Restaurant. Food absolutely amazing.Staff: very friendly and warm. Always acknowledged everyone they saw and courteous.Parking: no free on sight parking. You can pay through a 3rd party. Parking for 2 days $52.46.Room: our initial room was on the 6 floor. Modern decor with soft touches that made the place unique. Our first room had a faulty heater system, with it bein January and on the cusp of a winter storm. We immediately notified the front desk. They were prompt in sending a gentle spirited maintenance employee up. Who was very apologetic for the heater. We were relocated to the second floor. Still nicely decorated BUT located seemingly directly above the bar. Which made for loud, boisterous noises from the patrons below. Not romantic for an anniversary celebration. We appeared to be directly by the laundry facility as well. Dryers going at random at night. Most definitely not the experience we wanted.Housekeeping: we missed the morning cleaning due to sleeping in and requested a later tidy up. We left for upwards of 8 hours. Returned to a unclean room. Spoke with the housekeeping who was directly across from our room and were informed that we needed to contact the front desk to coordinate our housekeeping. While the housekeeping staff was polite, they were unsure of how to articulate our request or provide clear understanding to how our later tidy up request was seemingly lost.Overall the hotel definitely dropped the ball in resolving our relocation due to the heater. Felt as if we were being penalized with the room they moved us to. I would still recommend for anyone to try with the hopes that your room is fully functional.

Called in to make a reservation and was on the phone for 25 minutes listening to a music loop before I gave up. Never spoke with anyone. Can’t really comment on the hotel itself.

Expectations met and exceeded. First it’s super clean, comfortable bed, exceptional customer service and the decor is beautiful. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and the food was amazing. The service at the cafe was great and we enjoyed live music. Definitely staying here again!

Front desk people acted like they'd rather be somewhere else, but the absolutely most unforgivable egregious act was putting us in a room with a broken toilet. It was clogged when we checked in and continued to not flush properly our entire stay.
