We received out waiting list spot and awaited our 2-person dinner table at around 7-8pm on Friday 3/29. While waiting we secured spots at the bar watching the Gonzaga/Purdue game during the Sweet Sixteen (with "honor" or course watching quietly and enjoying two libations). An older gentleman had started a conversation with us, which we were friendly to, but we had no interest in continuing (as we wouldn't be, we just wanted to have dinner with friends). We received a text message that our table is ready and once promptly seated our young server told us she is "not comfortable" serving us alcohol and that we may choose from water and soda. This response was shocking to us because we had not only remained subdued and normalized during the game to all staff but as well as all other patrons. We promptly arose and left. We had dinner at another establishment in Highland Park Village and decided to come back and discuss with the Honor Bar manager -- a young Ethan Slater looking individual -- barely 25 and new to authority in life. He could give us no other reason for our rejection other than it was a "management decision" (i.e., his decision) and that we needed to leave the premises. Before I became a corporate lawyer, I worked in food service (a college job) -- specifically bartending and serving and I could always give an individual a reason why he or she was rejected from service. I gazed around looking at numerous other individuals far more inebriated than we were that were continuously being served and I remain confused at our rejection given the vehicle we arrived in and the jewelry we were wearing (not that it should matter AT ALL with respect to what you're eating when the staff is making what.....$15 an hour at most?) Good god. Avoid this place at all cost unless you're looking to be marginalized and judged by waitstaff.

Great food and drinks, they don’t take reservations which is sometimes a positive and sometimes a negative, depending on my day. The perfect martini is perfect! Good burger and the dings crispy chicken sandwich is my go to menu item. Everything is good though. Service is always very good.

Guacamole was plain, not even sure they add salt. Nice avocados, though. Shrimp are big and well cooked. It's tender and nice looking, but basically no flavor. Very forgettable chicken meatballs. They aren't even balls. More like scoops of chicken meat mixture, that are then either cooked in a rapid cook oven or broiled. Totally odd choice of sauces and lame app.I had a chicken sandwich it was like 6 inches tall with about 1/4" of chicken. Then cut in 3 pieces, the middle piece is 1"x3"x6". It's so odd to cut a sandwich into pieces that make it harder to eat. The best part was the kale/cabbage mix. That's good, it is most of the sandwich.Nice place to meet up with friends and have a meal, talk and it is clean. Food has very average to basic flavor, but service is nice.

Nice venue. Mediocre food. Definitely misses the mark in hospitality. The hostesses could use some etiquette training.

Bar far my favorite stop for a girls day or date night! The chicken sandwich is crave worthy! (And shareable but you won't want to!). The service is great! We prefer the patio seating but the inside is intimate and warm.

Love the food! Beware of the long wait. Great location for walking and shopping in Village. One of the best salads in Dallas.
