I spent a year at this place and no matter how hard I try, I can’t think of a bad thing to say. The leasing office staff and the maintenance team are responsible for my overwhelmingly positive experience at these apartments. All maintenance requests were responded to almost immediately, and any other issue I had would be handled by the front desk staff without any delay. The women in the front office went out of their way to make sure I had a good experience, even going so far as to offer feeding my cats when I was gone all day. The complex feels very safe and clean, and the maintenance team works their asses off all day (truly all day) to make sure of it. I had an issue with my microwave and the maintenance team ordered a new one and had it installed within a day. Getting packages in the luxer room is incredibly easy and I didn’t run into any issues. Parking is underground and there’s always spots available with elevators going directly up to your floor. The sound proofing is solid, couldn’t hear my nextdoor neighbors,(only if you’re standing in the hallway), though I got lucky with my upstairs neighbor because I think they made sure not to stomp around. Sure, I wouldn’t have minded a little more space (I had a 1B1B), but you’re paying for the location and the complex is super nice. So to everyone at the Marquis, your effort and compassion are never overlooked and I can’t express my gratitude enough.

I’ve had such a positive experience since I moved in July! The staff are so friendly and helpful- I haven’t had any big issues and maintenance orders are quickly resolved. Plus it’s such a pretty apartment in a great neighborhood!!!

I’ve lived at The Marquis for 10 months, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The management team is attentive and responsive, always quick to address any maintenance requests or concerns. The amenities are fantastic, from the well-maintained gym to the inviting pool area, making it easy to unwind after a long day.
The community is friendly and welcoming, fostering a great neighborhood vibe. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and I appreciate the regular upkeep that keeps everything looking fresh.
Location is another highlight; I’m close to shops, restaurants, and public transport, which adds to the convenience of living here. Overall, I highly recommend this apartment complex for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-managed place to call home.

I couldn’t be happier with my decision. In one of the best neighborhoods in Dallas, this property has cozy charm and is well-maintained. The management and maintenance team sets this place apart, though, with their responsiveness, kindness, and readiness to go above and beyond. I've consistently felt like a valued resident.

I’ve been a resident here for close to a year and the front desk has been a huge help. The maintenance crew is quick to answer service requests and does a great job with the landscaping, highly recommend.

I’ve lived at the Marquis since March and have loved it! Both leasing managers are always so kind and accommodating. The property itself for the most part is pretty quiet and residents are friendly and respectful.

I have lived here since 2020 and we love living here! The office staff are so friendly and really get to know you. Only reason it’s not 5-star is because the pool and hot tub could be nicer. The pool doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned all summer and the hot tub is not in the best shape.

Marquis of State Thomas – A Hidden Gem in State Thomas!
From even before my stay at the Marquis of State Thomas, I’ve had nothing but great things to say!
After a bad experience with the leasing process at another local apartment, I coincidentally found the Marquis of State Thomas on Google Maps and decided to give them a call. Unable to visit in person, I was sent a video tour of the unit, and the team was very attentive throughout the process. The application to contract process was completed in just three days, thanks to Allie, the leasing manager!
My experience living at the Marquis has been equally warm and welcoming. The apartment is clean, secure, and responsive to maintenance requests. On move-in day, my maintenance needs were addressed immediately and all other requests have been addressed within 2 business days. The building also offers free underground parking for residents, and all buildings and facilities are key-fob access only. Packages are secured in a package locker room, which prevents theft.
The location of the Marquis also adds to its charm. It’s convenient for those who work downtown, just one block from Klyde Warren Park and a Whole Foods. For those who enjoy social nights, it’s a block away from McKinney Avenue—close enough to the action but quiet enough for those who prefer to stay at home. The neighborhood also offers a nice contrast to downtown, with plenty of trees and everyday services like cute coffee shops, a dentist, Uptown Yoga, and a pet supply store.
Allie has also been very helpful with my move-out process, discussing options since I unfortunately had to end my lease early.
In summary, my time at the Marquis of State Thomas has been nothing short of fantastic, and I’m so grateful to Allie for making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. If you’re considering a move, I highly encourage you to visit or give them a call—you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely loved living here! Apartment was is great condition, building and landscaping were well kept, hallways were consistently vacuumed. I lived on the first floor and felt very safe, not much noise from neighbors or the street. Maintence was extremely helpful, friendly, and prompt. Great amenities. Office staff was engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. My dog absolutely loved all of them and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The best apartment complex I have ever lived at and if I wasn’t moving states I would stay as long as I could. From moving in to moving out my experience here was a 10/10 xx

The management team is the best ppl I have encountered in any apartment complex. Super friendly and professional. The building is really safe and kept clean very regularly. Would recommend it to anyone.

Toured here not long ago and the staff was excellent! Very informative and friendly, more so than most of the experiences in dallas so far. Although life has forced me elsewhere, I would've loved to live here. I am highly satisfied and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice clean place to stay in Dallas!
