Select Start is an arcade bar and nightclub featuring a wide selection of modern and old-school arcade games and consoles. It is a spot for laid-back party vibes with a live DJ, dance floor, and great drinks. Many find it a great place to hang out, describing it as fun with friendly staff and good dance music. It is seen as a great place to be a kid with a cold beer and video games, better than similar venues. The place is clean and allows children before a certain time. However, some experiences are mixed. While some have had a decent time, others report disappointments like neglectful service, inattentive security, and some video game machines that did not work. The music can be blaring loud, which some find confusing for the game-centric atmosphere, and the crowd sometimes skews very young. Fun gaming bar. Located in Deep Ellum. It wasn't incredibly busy. The game selection isn't huge, but it's worth going in and killing 30 minutes or so. The games take cards, coins, or bills.

Stopped in for drinks and games on. Sunday after brunch. Place was clean people were friendly. Children are allowed before a certain time.

Great place to be a kid with a cold beer and video games. It's better than Dave's and busters' hands down.
