A "must visit" in Dallas outlining the JFK assassination and investigation, indictment and controversy surrounding it. Book your tickets online in advance. While the JFK assasination in Dallas was a specific event and a critical moment in history, the museum adequately covers events leading up to it and after it, which all have defined history in many ways.

Admission was $18 before fees and taxes in September 2023. I thought that was a fair price. It took me about an hour to go through. There was no time limit on how long you could look around. To stand at those windows and look down at the parade route was beyond words. It was a very quiet and somber museum. I enjoyed the films and footage that they were playing in the different sections of the museum. There is a bookstore on the main floor, I thought it was tasteful.

A must do if you are in the Dallas area. Spent about 2 hours self guided walking thru the 6th floor and watching some of the various videos. Like other truly historical sites you get a glimpse into another time. They did a great job retaining the true history while acknowledging the still unanswered questions. Also there is an air of respect for what you are seeing. It is quiet, and allows for you to fully embrace the museum. Oh and the lady at the front where you buy your tickets is the nicest lady ever!

A real sense of living history. I stood six foot from where Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shots that rang out around the world. Worth it just for that. The rest of the exhibition was a little “static” but there was lots of detail.

I've been here several times bringing out of country guests, and I never tire of walking around and taking it all over and over again. It's still as somber since the first time I came.My recent trip was with my mom and brother, and they found it so valuable taking in a part of the history they've only heard about. Watching the videos and reading all information is just eye-opening.

Awesome museum of the assassination of John F Kennedy.I've always wondered about how hard the shot would have been from the specific window. After seeing g it in real time, it would not have been that hard of a shot, but with a bolt action? Not too sure.We want ANSWERS!Why have the JFK Assasination files not been declassed yet?Pretty interesting stuff.Left the museum with more questions than answers.OkBye

It’s a sad place I have to say, you’ll find a lot of information of the sad event by either watching some short movies/documentaries or by walking the museum and reading the information and seeing the picture. There are two floors, the upper floor mainly has the view of the Elm street and the surrounding and different places where you can watch movies about the incident. It’s mostly like a big hall compared to the main floor where you can observe some exponats. At the time of my visit, there were many people, we had to wait in line a little , however, it went by pretty quick. The ticket to enter was $18 for adult.

Insightful and somber experience. Detailed history of JFK and the events. The view from the window added a poignant touch. Recommended for those interested in history and reflection.

A small museum about Kennedy and his assassination. Excellent exhibit about the historic context and event. Very crowded over the weekend though still worth the visit.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealy Plaza is perfect for the JFK lover and the Civil Rights Historian. The whole experience is very surreal as the aurora has a different feel and will give you a flood of emotions. You feel the historic side of this location, you feel the sadness, you feel the evil, and you feel the overwhelming sense of a forensic/mysterious emotion that is hard to describe. The only down side of this museum is you get lost a tad (not know which direction to go) in the timeline during the “12:30 hour” which is a cool effect, if that museum is designed that way. It’s a bit chaotic when you get to this point in the museum. Which, kudos if that is intentional. Anyway, overall very informative and great experience. Very emotional even though I was not born in this time period.

Great museum. Highly recommend if you want to learn about the assassination of JFK. Information is well presented and very educational. I really enjoyed watching all the video presentations too. It took me just over 2.5 hours to go through everything and I love that with timed entry they don’t overcrowd the museum.

The Sixth Floor Museum located in Downtown Dallas is a very interesting museum that provides a lot of information of John F. Kennedy ranging from when he was born to the conspiracy theories after he died. There are a few places around that will show video of the assassination and the aftermath. I think it's very informative and a fun time for anyone who is interested in Dallas history or the Kennedy family. I do wish that the line for tickets and to be let in after buying tickets could be faster but I understand that they probably don't want it to be too crowded as certain areas were crowded.

A visit to the "Sixth Floor Museum" makes you think even more and more or less confirms the doubts that L. Harvey Oswald was not the murder or not the lone murder. The view from the window of the scene of the crime and also the pictures exhibited there raise questions upon questions to which no answers will be given. The museum is structured chronologically as a timeline and you can see what must have happened in this historic place directly on the window, on a digital presentation.Standing behind the fence at the memorial and looking at the three white crosses in the street makes you think very, very much and confirms your doubts. The museum staff were very nice and the visit, in smaller groups, went very smoothly. If you are in Dallas or nearby, then a visit to the "Sixth Floor Museum" is highly recommended.
