Customer Service Rep lied and said their prepaid gas was cheaper than I could buy. And she conveniently forgot to say they charge a $20 airport fee for pumping the gas. What a fraud! GFY!

These place has a bunch of crooks working there I left my sweater in the vehicle I rented I noticed my Philadelphia eagles sweater missing as soon as I got to the airport I left it was hanging on the passenger side seat , so I called my cousin as soon as a notice if he would go pick it up even 30 minutes have past and they said it was not there , the thing is a custom made sweater with my name!!!! These place has a bunch of CROOKS WORKING FOR THESE COMPANY WORD OF MOUTH IS A POWERFUL TOOL PEOPLE WORK HARD FOR THE THINGS THEY HAVE AND FOR A BIG COMPANY LIKE YOU GUYS TEACHING YOU EMPLOYEES IS OK TO STEAL IS NOT GOOD , MANAGEMENT AND THE CORPORATE NEEDS TO LEAD BY EXAMPLE UNLESS THERE THE SAME WAY ..SO MY ADVICE TO FEATURE CUSTOMER ALWAYS CHECK YOUR VEHICLE BEFORE YOU RETURN IT if not your personal items will be gone within minutes...HOPEFULLY CORPORATE does there job and contact me ,I will update if they do..

The worst unprofessional Thrifty. My car was dirty like someone went through mud under the car was broken the inside was very dirty and had mud everywhere. I am not happy with this company and will not rent ever again

This Thrifty Car Rental is not a bad place, but I was not happy they close at least two hours earlier than the other car rental companies at Dallas Love Field. My flight was delayed because of the weather, and I could not get a direct phone number from anyone using the corporate phone number. My flight arrived one hour late, and Thrifty Car Rentals was closed as Hertz, Alamo, Budget, and Nationwide were picking up customers. I ended up having to take a very expensive Uber ride to my mom's house. I expected better customer service at that moment. No one told me when I called the corporate phone number that they closed at 10:00 pm.

Great service, a lesson to learn about their policies, about debt cards. We were stranded in Dallas due to our truck over heated, so we had a rent a vehicle yo get back home to Houston.

I wouldn't even give 1 star but I had to. Arrived at the airport and they were closed, all other car rentals were open. Had to go to another company to get a car. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THRIFTY!!!

People waiting over 2 hrs for a car. In the time there 5 different families Ubered. Canceling the so called reservation. A email of prolonged wait would be the least of communication. Thank you for taking my reservations to importance. My Uber driver was fast and very attentive now you can learn a few things Thrifty

July 2023- After reading prior reviews I went in guarded. However I had a GREAT experience!Check in was quick,great, clean and nice car and a quick return. No issues, shuttle was prompt both directions ( appreciated the drivers Christian music) Only issue was the current prices but that is every rental company and lack of a full tank of fuel. I will return!

I booked Thrifty in Dulles airport and was totally disappointed. When I arrived they said they had no cars. They rudely said I could put my name on a list and they would call if a car came available, or I could go elsewhere. I went back to the airport 5 hours later and they again said they had no cars. After complaining to the manager and stating I was not leaving until I received a car, one magically appeared. In fact they had 3 cars available. Their rude and uncompassionate attitude has lost my business forever.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on meSecond time using this location. Both times an hour PLUS wait for them to have a car.Pick an hour early early and don't put your flight info on your reservation (or they will say...well we adjusted the time for your flight). Book direct, because if you use another site, they are even less helpful.Bottom line, pay more at another place so that your car will actually be here.Oh, and no offer to comp for the inconvenience except a bottle of water.BTW...three vans in the lot, but they won't let people take them.

I booked with them for a rental not knowing the bad reviews, and after seeing them figured we could give it a shot. Through booking.com they displayed the five days I would be there would be $288 with taxes and fees included with my 10% discount. I knew they were going to charge me a young driver fee once I arrived which I was fine with. I reserved a Toyota Corolla (which I did get so that's why I'm giving them 2 stars since it's the car I wanted). Upon arrival, the man at the counter tells me my credit card didn't display my name in their system, which makes no sense. I've never had this problem before with my cards, and my card even shows my name on it. As well as I can show my bank app info to confirm it is indeed, my card. He refused to see and told me I was SOL basically and offered no help. I then decided to just use my debit card. Which surprisingly, he apparently had the same issue not seeing my name. Again, it's displayed on the outside of the card as well, he told me to figure it out and offered no help again. I said it may be his system as this has never happened before, he decline and said his system is fine and told me to call my bank. I call, they confirm my card indeed should display my name in their system and they've never heard of this supposed issue. Tell the guy at the counter, still denies. Finally my fiancé offered to use his bank card, which the man happily accepted and said it was all good to go. So I had to transfer him the money, and then we were told he will be doing a credit check and there would be a $500 deposit on top of charging us $557 for the rental itself. I was confused as the site said there would be no additional charges except the young driver fee. Which is apparently NOT true. He switched the reservation to my fiancés name and said the $60 insurance I paid for would be void as it's no longer under my name and I could add it under his as extra and call the other company to see if they will refund me. I got upset and declined to even have their 'coverage' at all. (Attempted to call their third party to get my insurance return since I never got to use it and they do not have a customer service line to reach them.) After all paperwork was signed, the man sternly tells me I am not allowed to drive the car and only my fiancé could, and refused to add me as a driver. I was shocked and felt like this entire thing had to do with him just not wanting me to drive the car since I was a female (you may say it's a reach but I'm just not sure. He was incredibly kind to my fiancé but very cold towards me from the start). After we left everything was fine. The car was good and the return process was fair. PSA for IF you rent with them (since you really don't save any money so you'd have better luck going to a trusted company than this one) go inside after returning the car and get a printed receipt like I did. So they cannot secretly charge you for things like gas when you did fill it up. Will not be going through them again.

Never seen anything like this. It's 4th of July weekend, and NOBODY is working at the counter. There is over 100 people waiting for their turn in a rerouted line, and another rental company is having to take over for them. See pictures attached of a sign to reroute customers and the line with only (1) person that took over for them.

The absolute worst experience I've ever had at a rental car company. Had to wait 2 hours for a car on a Friday morning, to which I had made reservations for about 4 months ahead of time. The lot didn't have any vehicles for any patrons so they were giving them out as people were returning them. Upon finally receiving my vehicle, one of which was not the size of vehicle I reserved- it was larger but because I was not willing to wait any longer, I took it. Right before leaving the lot, a dashboard light came on. Was given another larger vehicle that only had 3/4 tank of gas! I attempted to call the company to make note but they did not answer or return my calls/emails regarding my complaints. I only used this company because it was in a package deal with Priceline. I DO NOT recommend this company in this location. Oh also, the sales person went real hard trying to upsell me everything possible when checking in, proceeded to tell me that weather damage isn't covered by insurance- crazy to think that but for anyone who needs to hear that, there ya go. Overall, go elsewhere for your car rental!

We had a reservation for a mid size rental and arrived in mid afternoon. Upon arrival, a testy customer service agent told me that the employee that was free was taking a break and I would have to wait. She was rude and I was just standing in line! Inside and outside the facility I saw 20+ people waiting for rental cars. It was extremely hot and humid and not enough seats for everyone. No cars were in the lot!When I finally got to speak with someone they told me it would be an hour wait for my car. It turned out to be 2 hours!!!!!Cars would return, be run thru the car wash, and sent out to waiting customers. We were not offered ANYTHING, not water or snacks, not a chair, not even an apology by the staff. They basically ignored us!I will never rent thru them and since I booked them thru Southwest, I will notify them of this terrible customer service! I did fill out their survey and told them all of this but they haven’t tried to contact me. I don’t expect they will as bad customer service seems acceptable to them!Why are they renting cars that don’t exist? What good was my reservation?

Worst car rental experience. Took 2 hours to get a car that we reserved at 10am and we showed up at 3pm. One would think they’d have it ready by the time we arrived? On top of that terrible customer service, the employee checking us out was rude and short tempered.Gave us the car with a quarter tank, and had them note that.Upon completion of the rental we returned with 3/4ths a tank. They charged us $80 to fill the final amount…Down right stealing- if I could give this business zero stars I would. Find anything different. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
