Odd, I had posted a review here in February and it's removed. I am posting again because this experience was strikingly awful.
I had a scheduled surgery and one week before I stopped by to confirm with pharmacy staff if my boyfriend would be able to pick up my meds as they would only send the prescription while I was in surgery as the prescription was Oxycodone along with others.
I went again the day before surgery to confirm and brought a paper copy of my boyfriends ID and was told that was not needed. He could simply come pick up my prescriptions.
I provided this pharmacy information to the surgical center. Surprisingly, the order went out between me seeing anesthesia and pending surgery. So it was ready before I went in.
I told my boyfriend to go pick up meds so that when I came out he could come pick me up and go straight home. BUT NO, there I was naked outside the operation room with IVs all over arguing with pharmacy staff to release the meds.
After waiting in line, he was rejected to obtain meds because despite two previous confirmations they stated they could not release this to him. I called them again, whoever I would speak to on the phone would agree, whoever was on front of the counter would disagree. We went back and forth until I had my boyfriend skip to the front of the line, put me on speaker with the pharmacist that was on the line to communicate with the one in the front, my doctor's staff on this hot mess of a call to get this together. Only then did they release meds, and I was able to go under completely stressed and pissed about this entire situation.

Really bizzare experience with the workers. Would not fill my paper slip and got multiple excuses as to why. I was able to fill at any other Tom Thumb location except for this one.

I never thought I would leave a review for a pharmacy, but here I am. I have been filling medications here for the last 17 years for convenience and for the staff that work behind the counter. I moved a few miles away two years ago but continue to get my medication filled here even though there are two other Tom Thumb’s closer to me. The staff are professional and informative, but also kind and funny. I trust them implicitly with handling my medication and needed vaccinations.

Obviously lost. Obviously trying to find something.Manager and associate stare right at me, a customer who is Obviously confused, and completely ignore me. Nope, keep on with your personal conversation. The apparently way more important than a lost customer. ?

Put on some in question is 2727 Live Oaks,After working at this location 2727 Live Oaks for a shortIt may have been only 2 weeks in I was told as a,"one shift manager went through another shift manager, ""if I scan and bag any items I would be written up.I've already been told by the department manager not to do that, so of course I asked the other cashiers if they were informed the same thing from the same shift managers, no they were not.The harassment continues another shift manager informs me my area needs cleaned, she tells me to do it three times in a row she says it's not cleani enoughInform her that I cleaned it already I let her know that I'm off the clock, she says just goThe harassment continues the manager of the department steps in front of the belt is I'm still bringing up the, the manager is standing feet apart from the the customer saturate the belts where the food.Says to me come on you and me both are cleaning up this belt together, I look at the manager and look at the customer the manager finally recognizes the customer standing thereSays oh my apologies I didn't see youI went straight to the manager of the store to State this harassment the shift manager insists on a meeting that I did not wantOf course I said forgiven and forgottenThe harassment continues, a new shift manager shows up sees me checking the time on my phone, immediately says, ""I can take that phone away from you you know that don't you.A different shift manager shows up change the cash register computer glitching, helps me with a transaction moves me aside to avoid the transaction so they can make their complaints to the manager that I messed up the transactionSo I called 1-800 number I no longer work there I let them know about the harassment nothing was doneThey do not deposit all of the employees are names at one time as they should they wait for each pay. giving it out in increments at their disposal as they choose toThe Live Oaks location pays 1 dollar less hour as the other locations, Field Street

If you need a kosher butcher look no more. Our Jimmy is your man. He is rude, obnoxious, and has attitude you can not miss. I was let know he is in the store for 20 years, and I wonder how such a personality was left unnoticed! I even wonder if we can trust the kosher origin of the meat he cuts! But I will leave this to the agency that certifies him. However, I will not set my foot in this store again, even if I need to eat vegetarian food for the rest of my life. Good work Jimmy keep it up! The 11920 Preston Road location of Tom Thumb. Don't bother to buy any of the items on the digital coupon - if you go in the afternoon, they don't have it the butcher will tell you to come in the morning.Why do you want to go the next day when you are there to buy what has been advertised? People don't have time to come another day when you should be able to buy the advertised item when you come to the store.The boneless chicken breast and dark meat were on special, but they don't have one single package. Then when you ask for a raincheck since you might not have time to get it the next day - it is not available for raincheck. So they have you come into the store with their pretend sale that they don't have. Also, usually you have to buy a big package, if not, the beef is available in a smaller package for $2 or $3 higher per pound.Also, beware, the package looks fresh and when you buy it and flip it over the backside of the meat is darker and doesn't look fresh. You won't know it since the fresh side is on top. When T bones, ribeyes are on sale, beware, they are really fatty and have large bones.If you compare pricing, Tom Thumb is usually 20% higher than any other grocery. Now that we have HEB coming into our neighborhood, we have more choices and Tom Thumb needs to be more competitive.

Tom Thumb should be ashamed for often they raise prices. Their Signature brand ice cream which is pretty good used to be $3.29 sometimes $2.99 even as low as $1.88 for the quart size carton.Now it's $4.99. I loved it and used to be a frequent buyer but no more. They can keep it
