Amanda at the Tom Thumb Pharmacy is absolutely outstanding!
She goes above and beyond every single time I visit. Whether it’s answering questions about prescriptions, helping with refills, or taking extra time to make sure everything is clear and correct, Amanda always delivers top-notch service with a friendly smile. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares about each customer the way she does.
You can tell she takes real pride in her work she’s efficient, kind, and always professional. The pharmacy runs smoother because of her, and she’s a big reason I keep coming back.
Thank you, Amanda, for making every visit a positive experience!

Where to start. Every time we go there, (only the pharmacy by the way, I am not talking about the store ) the workers are extremely rude. I would have to say that the Asian pharmacist is the rudest pharmacist I have ever dealt with after living all across the United States. There has been several times that I have wanted to write this review. But about a month ago, I called ahead of time to make sure that my medication was ready because it was acting weird on the app. She said it would be ready within 10 minutes, we talked about the price, it would have to be a cash pay because it was an early prescription. No, this is not a narcotic, just misplaced my medication and needed to have it filled as it was a life-saving medication for health reasons. She said no problem, I sent my daughter who does not drive in an Uber and paid $28 to get there. My daughter got there and was told that it was too early to fill the medication. My daughter said my mom just talked to the pharmacist and she told her that it was fine and gave her the price. so the guy working upfront turned around to look at the pharmacist and she was screaming from the back. “I never spoke to her that is not “ My daughter said that is true, you were on speakerphone and I heard the entire conversation so I came to pick it up, as my mom is working. She proceeded to call my daughter a liar, refused to fill the life-saving medication. I was on my phone with my daughter during this, I had to make my daughter walk away so that she did not climb over the counter. She was so incredibly rude, completely lied and I have to tell you that I don’t have a name that you would forget. I do not have a regular every day Mary Amy, Patty, etc. name. Nor is my last name common. So she knew that she had talked to me. For whatever her reasoning was, just decided that she wasn’t going to give us the medication. I have seen reviews over the years about this particular pharmacist. Or the rude staff. And why nothing is done about it at a Tom Thumb of all places. A very nice Tom Thumb at that. It amazes me. Something needs to be done, they need to completely fire everybody and hire a new staff or they need to close this pharmacy. Or fire that one pharmacist. I’m sure that the other people would probably be smiling and happy to be working there if she did not work there.

Due to a medical name change or Dr ‘s staff mistake, I ran out of an important medication.
My home pharmacy doesn’t keep it in stock and said it would take days. I asked them to find some in the meantime. Audrey at the Tom Thumb Pharmacy at Lover’s Lane reached out to me with loaner pills based on my valid but confused prescription. Even though she does not work at my home pharmacy branch, she went out of her way to validate my prescription, loan me enough pills to avoid missing a third day. She stuck with it and has made multiple calls to me and for me while the others were trying to figure it out.
So basically, when my ordinary refill went crazy and Audrey was contacted to check inventory. She jumped in and straightened out the situation. I wasn’t even her customer, but she kept me informed and medicated while the situation got back to normal.
I believe the appropriate phrase is “Above and beyond the call of duty.”

Will gaslight you about your prescription being ready when they don't even have it in stock, and then lie to you about when they will have something in stock. Go somewhere else.

Cannot say enough nice things about Audrey Hansen who went way out of her way to help secure medication for my husband. She is the epitome of exceptional service and TT is blessed to have such an amazing employee!

This pharmacy needs to have 0 stars. Believe the negative reviews. The company responds to these reviews but there is 0 change 0 improvement. Poor management. Never going back to this pharmacy. I went to pick up some meds that were sent 3 days ago and apparently they weren’t ready the guy that helped me told me that it would be ready in 10-15 minutes I sat down and waited 20 for good measure I went back up and the guy acted like he was going to get my meds but another lady told him that they didn’t have those meds they wouldn’t be ready till the next day. Complete waste of time. Poor communication. The guy clearly didn’t know what he was doing.They either hire just anybody or they have very poor training horrible management. I was so upset I just walked away but I attempted to call to get clarification. You get put on hold and the machine hangs up after 3 minutes or so and when you call again they just quickly put you on hold again making it impossible to speak with someone. I’ve never been to such an unprofessional pharmacy in my life. Go to any other pharmacy but this one.

Pharmacy staff is very dismissive and has poor communication with customers. I went to get my prescription and they had locked up early. I told the pharmacist herself it was urgent and I needed my medication. She told me verbatim “We already locked up and I have a life to live. You should have already been here.” I explained I was going out of town and I could not get it tomorrow. She told me to transfer the script. After calling they failed to transfer the script. Almost 24 hours pass with no response or resolution. I call the new pharmacy and they tell me Tom Thumb told them they were too busy and would get to it when they could.
I then called Tom Thumb and they told me that my script was no longer active, despite it having been filled at their location. I called my doctor, who confirmed a renewed script had been sent 2 weeks ago. Tom Thumb claims it had never been sent. I am not sure what happened if the script was lost or deleted, but it seems to be a mess up there. Very very disappointing. The only staff member I have had a positive reaction with is the younger man who I believe is a tech. He is very caring and patient forward. Not sure if the pharmacist is just burnt out and unhappy, but it is affecting the quality of care the pharmacy is able to provide.

I am eternally grateful to the staff at Tom Thumb Pharmacy Lovers ln!! After a national shortage on a VERY crucial medication the staff here guided me through finding another location that just so happened to have it in stock in another form. This kind of help is irreplaceable and I would have been lost without them. Through this process two other pharmacies messed up my order and the techs at Lovers ln understood the urgency, intervened and fixed it for me. You can get medication anywhere, but you can’t get a staff like this anywhere but Tom Thumb Lovers Ln. Pharmacies serve vulnerable communities and they take that seriously. I have used this pharmacy for 6+ years and I’ve never had a single issue with them. I hope y’all see this: thank you for all the efforts and hours you put in for US!

They have 2 staff members who are actually good at their job. But 2 good employees doesn't make up for all of the constant issues. Getting medication filled on time, closing early without notice, issues with getting my medication delivered to my address. If it is so difficult to keep up with the demand, I think you are in the wrong profession.

The worst pharmacy in Dallas. God forbid anyone has cancer and needs their meds. The staff is the laziest I’ve seen, they do not care about the customers at all. Worst experiences I’ve had at a pharmacy.

Pharmacy staff is very transactional. Rushed, do not take the time to talk to customers. At times, it takes 10 minutes just to talk to someone. Get your prescriptions refilled elsewhere.
