Very bad service. The two guys in the front couldn't be bothered to help when I asked for help. I was interested in the wind spinners. Neither wanted to help and when I asked for assistance, the acted like they had more important things to do. Although they were just gossiping near the front. Customer service guys! That's how we keep business going.

I am ashamed to say that this was my first visit to this True Value. What a unique place!! Chick's man, they sell baby chicks!ok, thats outta the way, I Needed copy of my car key. I had already purchased the replacement key, (Ford allows you to program your keys instead of having to go to the dealer and spend 200 bucks for a key). So, I just needed a copy made. Helpful employee Kirby (I hope I got that right) told me that normally they don't use a key that a customer brings in because if it's done wrong it could cause a problem with the customer, Told Kirby I trust him, and he copied away. Perfect match and charged me 4 bucks. This is the exact type of neighborhood store we should support because it's so unique. I will recommend to anyone that will listen and have a new home for any hardware needs. Sadly, it's almost jarring when you actually receive good customer support these days. Thanks to all, hope to shop again here soon.

My family and I were looking for some items when I felt like we were being watched. When I had questions regarding the merchandise, I felt alienated and antagonized. Will not be back. Seems like this place only cater to a certain group of people.?

One of my favorite stores in the area. I love that they have keys that are shaped like a treble clef. Great variety of gift items and garden items. Very friendly staff. They have every scent of Myers soap products. I love their toy section! Fun shopping experience every time! Wish they carried adult duck feed! Thank you

I don't appreciate the disrespect my wife and daughter received when they drove for over 45 min to visit and shop. My wife made a special trip with my daughter to purchase some chickens after calling the store and asking what was in stock. The employee flat out said "these went on sale today". She arrived with the intention to purchase several chickens with my daughter. The older employee that was working told my wife that she could not purchase chickens until tomorrow as that is when they were available for sale. That's not the issue here. The issue here is how he acted when she told him she was told they were available today by the guy on the phone. The Issue here is the way he belittled and how rude he was to my wife in front of my daughter. That behavior is unacceptable. To belittle and be rude about the matter is ridiculous. Customer service was quite lacking in this situation. Being short with his answers and having an attitude. Don't worry about apologizing. My wife just wasted over 1 hour of her life to support a local small business only to be treated like crap. Glad she wasted her gas, time, and energy to go spend our hard earned money at a store that didn't have the respect or decency to treat my wife and daughter with respect. I will be calling the store on the morning to speak with the manager.

I called them asking what chicks were available was told these just went on sale today and the guy listed off what they had. I said ok I will drive up making it very clear that I lived a hour away. Get here and the birds are marked for sale as of 4-2 and they would not sell any to me and expected me to come back the following day. I will never make the drive to this store again after this. The man was also very condescending and rude and did not care what so ever that I just drove a hour to this store. Didn't apologize nor try to make the issue right at all.

My sister and I came in to shop for a unique tool. This place seems to carry it all and it's absolutely wonderful! My sister called and spoke with Arogee and he let her know the item was in stock. He was very nice over the phone. We then headed to the store to purchase the item. Arogee remembered that we had called for the specific item when we were ready to check out. He was very helpful all along the way and super kind. Thank you Rooster Home and Hardware and Arogee!

This store is unique in that it carries tools, hardware, cleaning products, but also cute gifts, live chicks, and bee keeping items. It is local and those are the businesses I like to support to keep my community thriving. I called over the phone asking for a tool and the gentlemen over the phone was very confident and helpful. Then I went to get it in store and he remembered I called and gave good info/advice on the tool. He also didn't keep the other customer behind me waiting while we were deciding. He was aware of that person and able to politely multi task while serving both of us. It is also refreshing to see a young person be able to have a good, lengthy conversation with a customer. The experience was personalized and I learned something. Thank you Arogee!

I love this locally owned hardware store. This is so much more than a hardware store though! They have chickens, a whole supply of gifts, and a wide variety of locally made food products. I always buy my Noble Coyote coffee beans at this location. This is also a fantastic place to stop if you have littles because they usually have baby chicks, and child tolerating chickens in the store. The customer service is high quality and feels like you are in a small town store. Their prices are reasonable, and products are always good quality.

Rooster Hardware feels like home. I love coming here for my home repair needs and projects - they're well stocked and have very helpful staff, always willing to help me find what I need and answer my questions. They also have two aisles of fasteners that are sold individually by the drawer, which is handy if you don't want to to buy a pack of 50 when you just need one or two (unlike some of the bigger stores). They also have chickens and bee keeping items, rain barrel water capture, organic plants - an urban feed store, essentially on top of hardware. One of the other reasons I like to shop here is it definitely feels like a neighborhood store. I can't imagine shopping at one of the big box stores again after 'discovering' this place.
