Horrible online tools. Had a message function in app, yet they call you to answer and won't respond with any information in messages. I asked a simple question about CD rates and they wouldn't answer. Transferring money from a CD to an outside account is not possible which is not industry standard. Horrible infrastructure. I called number in app and they had no idea who I was and gave me another number to call. Very unorganized. They tried telling me I had to come in person also. I ended up closing my account. I came for online access for to travelling in my job. They lost me.

My Mom banked with Veritex. When we closed her account, Veritex asked for all the standard documentation required to deal with estate closure. They were helpful, professional - unlike PNC which requires 2 business days to close an account involved in an estate even when presented all the required documentation. If I hadn't been a Frost Bank customer for over three decades, I would use Veritex. They are local, Texas based bank that doesn't employ all the corporate policies of big banks that do nothing but create roadblocks to hold your money as long as they can. Eddie Burrell at the Uptown branch was professional, thorough and efficiently handled my late Mother's account.

I had $1800 taken out of my checking account on 12/01/23. I transferred $6000 from savings to checking. Lets just say that the bank employers name was Francisco. Francisco transferred the money. He went in the back for about 4 minutes, where I could not see what he was doing. When he came back, I asked him for the receipt and he said I did not need it (that was a lie). I had a funny feeling about this, so next time I was at the bank I asked to see my balance on a statement (oh dear) I asked my friend who was an Executive at Chase bank, "Could a balance on a statement be tampered with?", he said yes. I then talked to Ankita Mahbab (bank employee). I told her about my situation, she said that she would look into it and call me. She never called me. I went back to the bank and told her my friend at Chase said the statement could be tampered with. She said, "My employees do not know how to do that", she also stated that everyone on her crew was honest. Then all the numbers checked out (but one of the numbers was wrong). Do not bank here. Go to Chase and pay lots of fees. Go to Capital One, and ask for a credit card that pays 3% and they will give you one that pays 1%. Go to Wells Fargo and have lots of accounts opened under your name. There are 25 banks at Preston and Northwest highway. Go to one of them. Do not bank at Veritex Community Bank. David Weigard 2146844800 Bank president call me only.

Stay away if you can possibly help it. I've worked with 25 different mortgage banks over the years. Veritex has lost my payments twice this year. They are blaming it on Wells Fargo--even though 100% of my other electronic payments from Wells Fargo have gone through, somehow one payment never made it to Veritex and one made it three weeks late. I seriously doubt the problem is with Wells Fargo. can no longer pay them along with all of my other bills, but have to pay them separately, on their own site, in order to ensure they acknowledge receipt. They really aren't up to banking in 2023.

Great Bank. The staff is kind. Always knows me by my name. I cannot say enough about people and the location of this bank. I brought my husband into the bank and he was just blown away by everyone saying hello to me and knowing my name.

This so called bank continues to send mail to my address for some real estate co. I have called this company twice and explained that I have lived here for thirty years plus. The tax rolls say the house is mine. They continue to send me this company's mail. They don't seem to care if they have the right address or not. I guess the FRB is next.

Veritex Bank is great! We have had our business and personal accounts with them for years. Great customer service from top to bottom in the Garland location. Susan and Lynda are the best!

Unfortunately, due to a bank error at the Lakewood branch Veritex location, my rent payment was denied, and I am now forced to make in person payments to my property manager going forward. The bank manager was completely oblivious/could have cared less about this predicament. This, after being a patron of the branch for over 10 years. I have also had problems with charges being denied while traveling within the state. This is a "mom and pop" bank that needs to get with the times. Am closing my account asap due to above mentioned!

Terrible drive through service.... long lines and 30 minute wait times. Not convenient! Waited in the non commercial line or bay only to watch others behind me drive away or into the next lane only to still be waiting. This bank has poor customer service and lacks professional standards towards its customers and clients.

Been banking with them for 5 years and no major issues. The staff at this branch is friendly and always help me out. Branch manager is helpful as well. If you are wanting a local Texas based bank I would highly suggest Veritex. Also if you are in the neighborhood check out our small business I Love Juice Bar! Support local.

called this bank (where I have an account) last week & was told to call back monday (the day I needed to have a wire sent for a home purchase). I have spent the lat 2.5 hours sitting on hold & talking to people who have computer problems (twice!) and told I have to call back. Called the branch nearest my home who said it was the wrong branch & that I had to speak to a certain person assigned to me (whom I've never heard of), who was also having computer issues and couldn't help me. The branch manager is in an all day meeting and can't speak to me. It's been easy to have my money go INTO this bank, but impossible to get it out. my assigned person just called me back on a different number than I'd asked them to call me on (Debra from Turtle creek branch), then she was RUDE, and told me - insisted - that I needed to come 891 miles to their branch, in person, in order to do a wire, which is now due in 4 hours, or she cannot help me. HORRID and rude service.

I've been banking at the Lakewood branch since it opened. It is truly a neighborhood bank, despite having grown into a much larger company. You cannot ask for nicer folks than at this branch. They even recognize my voice when I call on the phone! I receive excellent service all the time.
