Love the food, if you want a taste of South America, this is a great place! Tequeños, arepas and cachapas are one of my favorite! Today I tried the shrimp dish and I added plantains and it did not disappoint! Exquisite!!! Also, the caipirinhas and mojitos are on point made with real sugar?

I'm not a local in Dallas, but I found this Latino restaurant that reminds me of my roots. The three times I've visited, the food has been delicious. However, the second time I went, the service wasn't the best, so I decided not to leave a tip that time (opposite to the first time). Today, I went for lunch since I was in the area, and the food was really good, and the service had improved until the bill arrived. They included a 20% tip, and when I asked the reason, the girl replied, 'Because last time you didn't leave a tip,' which shocked me. She also said, 'I hope you value our work.' I've always tipped well when the service is good, as I've been a waitress myself and know what it's like, and actually thought about last time that I didn’t leave tip and I wanted to leave this time because as I said, the service was better. However, I don't think that was the right approach. It's definitely a very good restaurant, but I won't be returning.

I did not like the food. I was hoping for something better to have as a reference, which is Venezuelan food.

Everything we tried was fabulous and flavourful. We tried the empanadas, arepas, and the cachapa. This place has a warm and inviting atmosphere.

I was craving arepas and they were delicious! I found them pretty overpriced though - $30 for two cheese arepas and a papaya juice. But then I also bought five pre-made, plain frozen arepas and a block of queso fresco for about $12, so I can whip some up quick and easy at home. Plus about $2 worth of papaya in the blender. Cool place though, and charming - I'll go back for a full dinner sometime.

A group of us stopped in for lunch after 1:00pm. Service was horrible. It took about 40 minutes to get our food. Only one cook in the kitchen area. I had the gilled chicken which tasted good but was dry and over cooked. The last straw was that they added 20% to all checks!! Never again!
