What a spectacular experience we had with our purchase of a certified pre-owned vehicle from Mike Wheat! Wow. Mike was kind, patient, helpful above and beyond, exceptional communications. Bought a used Tahoe from Ricky. From the moment I called to inquire to driving off the lot in my new car, it was an overall great experience! Both Ricky and Maxter were great and straight forward. Would highly recommend any one to purchase a car here if you need one! Ricky was in constat contact over the purchase and answered all the questions that I had, even when he was off on Sunday! Thank you for helping us get into our new car!

If I could give this dealership 0 stars I absolutely would. My husband and I had been talking with a Mr. Todd for 3 days about a pickup posted online. From the first time we called, a Thursday, we informed him we live in Oklahoma and it was a 3 1/2 hour drive for us. Friday we made sure the truck was still on the lot, as asked, and it was. Saturday morning he was supposed to call but didn't so we called the dealership around 9amish to make sure the truck was still on the lot before we headed out. Mr. Todd said he was doing morning paperwork and just hadn't gotten around to calling. He put us on a brief hold, verified the truck was there and he would put gas in it so it would be ready that afternoon when we arrived to look at it. We got the kids situated with grandparents and set out on our 3 1/2 hour drive. When we arrived at 2:10pm nobody was in the first office building we went to so we walked around the place to see if we could find the truck. Well we found it and literally watched someone else climb in and drive off in it. The salesman asked if we had been helped yet and we told him we had an appointment to look at THAT truck and his response was, "we just sold it. Who did you talk to?" Of course, we angrily told him we had been talking to a Mr. Todd for 3 days and we had just drove 3 1/2 hours from Oklahoma and they had wasted our entire day. Literally. We immediately went back to our ride and left. When you are in communications with a potential client it's always nice to keep in touch and this man showed no concern for anybody's well being but his own wallet. This is absolutely shameful work ethic on Mr. Todd's part. At any time he could have called, asked our whereabouts, and said he had a buyer cash in hand ready and we wouldn't have wasted so much time on the road because there would have been the time the other man 'looked, test drove, and paperwork-ed' for the truck and we could have easily turned around. The fact that no effort was made and he let his potential clients, us, waste our time and money is absolutely shameful. We give this place 0 stars and negative stars if I could for work ethic.

We had a terrible experience with this dealership. My sister was provided subpar customer service, and was not given her opportunity to speak on her financing situation. We were already preApproved through our own bank and the dealership has been running my application, still to this day (which Im sure is substantially adding hard inquiries to my report). This is gettIng out of hand. We went to a different dealership and were helped properly, and we will not and do not recommend purchasing through this dealership. Almost two months after are bad experience and the dealership is erroneously running my line of credit. I have pictures of the letters I have been receiving from the credit agency. I will now have to deal with these continuing hard inquiries, and escalate my complaints. I already told the salesman that we found a car elsewhere, and someone is still submitting a loan requests! This has to stop. I need the manager to contact, preferably quickly before you cause further damages.

Two words… No Pressure! For anyone that has ever purchased a vehicle, you know it can be extremely exhausting, frustrating and stressful. Not at James Wood in Decatur! Everyone was very kind and attentive throughout the entire experience. Todd Baugh helped us finalize a deal on a beautiful 2020 Silverado 2500 diesel and we couldn’t be happier… especially after running ourselves ragged searching for the perfect truck ALL around the metroplex.The “no pressure” experience continued all the way through to the financing office, where you generally experience more pressure than purchasing a vehicle itself! Maxter was extremely professional, down to earth and kind as we wrapped up our final documents.I would highly recommend you check out James Wood in Decatur if you’re in the market for a new vehicle. Having an experience like we did is absolutely invaluable! We are so grateful for the incredible customer service!

My husband and I have never had such a pleasant experience with a dealership, even with the hiccups that happened. Yesterday we went in to buy a 2015 Tahoe. Steve was helping us out and he was great from the start. Very personable, doesn’t try to feed you lip service and give you every reason why you should buy a car from him. Just let’s you come in, tell him what you want, and he shows you what he’s got. As soon as we got there he had the one we wanted out ready for us to take for a drive. Financing was smooth as butter. Sheila was AMAZING at helping us get the numbers we needed. We were in and out in 2 hours it was fantastic. Nowwww for the hiccup that won’t even lose them a star, they actually gained some, because of how well they handled the situation. An hour after leaving with our Tahoe we were driving down the road and suddenly it started dinging at us and giving us the “change oil;low oil” message. Which is weird because it JUST got serviced and had an oil change before we went and looked at it. I call Steve on his cell, at this point it’s after 6pm, and he answers immediately. Him and my husband determine the problem is that the service tech screwed the oil filter in too tight and crushed the seal so we were spewing oil. Not an actual mechanical issue with the Tahoe, but just an inconvenient service error. Steve sent a tow truck out to us the moment I called him, at the dealerships expense, the tow was to us within 25 minutes, and Steve had a loaner waiting for us when we got to the dealership. He never once tried to brush it off or make excuses for the service department. Once everyone realized what the problem was he did nothing but apologize, put the blame where the blame belonged, and assured us it would be getting fixed as soon as the shop opens on Monday. Was this annoying to deal with? Yes, absolutely it was. Anybody would be annoyed by it. But Steve and his team went above and beyond to get us taken care of, and had nothing but a “this is our fault we take full responsibility for this mistake” attitude throughout the entire thing. And that is why we will ALWAYS come to James Wood for any vehicle purchase, and as long as Steve is around, he’s our guy!

If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, go see Mike Wheat. I stumbled across this dealership after browsing a couple across the DFW area. I went one afternoon to see a truck they had on their website. Mike saw me looking (he was with someone else), but he introduced himself and told me he’d help me once he was done. I was happy to wait, and I’m glad I did. This was the best experience purchasing a vehicle I’ve had. Mike was honest/up front, laid back, and very attentive. Once the purchase was done, he even asked to pray with us. I highly recommend Mike Wheat!!
