I had an exceptional experience with Drew W. as our GMC salesman. He's patient, kind, honest, incredibly knowledgeable, honored everything he said he would do for us - no games or tricks, and went the extra mile to ensure we got our dream vehicle. What really impressed me was that he even came in on his day off to make sure we were well taken care of (answered all of our questions and gave us multiple tutorials) when we picked up our new vehicle. Drew's dedication and excellent service truly stood out - he's a rare find. Highly recommended!

Drove out here to look at purchasing a new vehicle and ended up leaving and going to another dealership because of the sales. They did not seem at all interested in making a sale, was on their phone playing games instead of giving us their full attention. Was surprised that we had the type of vehicle to trade in and surprised that we had the financing we did. Would not work with us on pricing at all and told me I was a hard person to please.

Brought our truck in for some warranty work. We waited over a month for an available rental since we couldn’t be down a vehicle. Four days after getting it back, the coolant warning light came back on and the power steering isn’t right. Both things they “fixed.” It also broke down on us while pulling our loaded down 40 foot trailer on the way to Oklahoma. When we called today, they wanted us to bring it in (which we couldn’t if we wanted to!), told us it wasn’t their doing that it broke down, and couldn’t give us a rental until October. We asked to speak the service manager and the service adviser refused. We will never do any business with James Wood dealerships or service departments!!!!

I had previously been so pleased with service here. But this last month has been brutal. The lack of care to clients would make James Wood roll over in his grave. The service department had my car for over 3 weeks and failed to reach out to give me information or updates unless I made a call to them. Additionally, no loaners were offered, as they have none. I spoke to the manager and top person, and sadly, nothing changed. I am so disappointed in James Wood Decatur! No apologies given when I finally picked up my vehicle. No clean car delivered! James Wood always cleaned the car, at least a wash, but not here. Just sad to see customer service leave our Wise County GNC/Chevrolet establishment. On a side note, I was not ugly when I called, never used profanity, but I did say how disappointed I was. Decatur James Wood, you should do better if you want to keep people shopping local.

On Friday, 6.16.23 I called James Wood Chevrolet Buick GMC to schedule an appointment to look at a few vehicles. We had an idea of what were were looking for, but wanted to physically see the vehicles prior to making a decision. I spoke to Clay Estes, he looked up to verify if the vehicles we were interested in were available, then we scheduled to meet the next morning. Saturday morning we arrived and Clay was there to greet us. He had my list ready and pulled the vehicles out for us to test drive. After driving two we talked to him about what we liked and did not like about each vehicle. He then let us know there was another vehicle he saw in the back lot that had just come in a few days prior and he thought it sounded like what we were looking for. He took us on the golf cart to see it and he was right. It was exactly what we were looking for. We began the paperwork and shortly after we drove home in our new vehicle.We have purchased many vehicles over the years, but I can honestly say that working with Clay was the best experience we have ever had. If we had worked with another salesperson who was not as "boots on the ground" as Clay we would not have found the vehicle we wanted. I am so thankful for him, he was personable, kind and explained every step. With his hard work we were able to get exactly what we wanted. On top of that I had accidently left something important in our trade in vehicle. I texted him Monday after we bought our vehicle on Saturday and he went and found the items I had left. This dealership is an hour from our home, but I can guarantee that when we are ready for our next vehicle we will call Clay Estes. I highly recommend him if you are looking to purchase a new vehicle.

Very upsetting got there told the tech about my problem on my 2020 silverado she said to me it's till jan 7 we can take it in we have no rentals or you can leave it here and get a ride if i ask for a rental is cause i dont have a ride!!!!!!!!

I ran over something that fell off a truck traveling East on Hwy 114. Did serious damage to my Cadillac XT5. James Wood Chevrolet Body Shop did the repair on my vehicle. Sam Lara was my contact and he did a great job of keeping me informed of progress. It did take some time given part shortage issues. I would recommend them for any repair you may need for your vehicle.
