“If you are ever in Del Rio, Texas, do not miss the opportunity to check out Casa de la Cultura. Lupita and her team have created a welcoming and safe space for individuals to express themselves artistically. The gallery is more than just a place to view art; it's a community hub that offers classes in English, folklorico, and guitar. What impressed me the most about Casa de la Cultura was the level of participation from the local community. The sense of belonging that Lupita has fostered is palpable, and it's clear that the Casa is more than just a building – it's a way of life.I urge everyone to support Casa de la Cultura by participating in all the local events and by donating to the organization. And, while you're there, make sure to purchase some of the local art on display. The talent on show is truly impressive, and supporting these artists will ensure that the Casa de la Cultura continues to thrive for years to come.Overall, I cannot recommend Casa de la Cultura highly enough. Whether you are an artist or simply a lover of art, this gallery and community center is well worth a visit.”
“Small museum filled with over 400 taxidermy specimens, mounts, trophies, and furs in addition to shells, fossils, fish, and other natural history items. There is a children's play area and a large community classroom for ongoing education, learning, and events. Exhibits of various topics rotate throughout the year that support the community and beyond. Interesting, educational, and very informative place to visit.”
